appy new year! It is time to begin the new year with a fresh start. Finals week definitely took a toll on many students during the middle of December, but celebrating Christmas and New Year’s with our loved ones definitely recharged our batteries. I am ready to begin the New Year with a new attitude. Before first semester ended, many exciting events took place. For one, the drama class put on an amazing production of Pride and Prejudice. This drama tells the story of Elizabeth Bennet, who learns to distinguish between superficial goodness and actual goodness. This play definitely moved the audience and also brought many laughs. Preparations for the Spring musical have already begun, and I can not wait to see the show! Drama is not the only class that can put on a breathtaking performance. Let’s Get Loud! was a Dance show that was choreographed and performed by all of the dance students. I could not help but dance along in my seat as the performers danced across the stage full of energy and smiles. Every single dance class, no matter their skill level, got a chance to show off their skills. The

auditorium is always full during theses shows, and it’s no secret why: Monte Vista students know how to put on a show!
