Danville’s Hot Summer Sunday Car Show By David Miller, Danville Resident since 1988
T
his legendary car show event has been produced for 25 years, and this year will take place on two Sundays: July 21 and August 18. Show times for the public viewing are 11am until 4pm. Admission to the general public is, as always, free! The event will include an appearance by ABC Channel 7 news anchorman Dan Ashley, who will sing the National Anthem at 12 noon in the parking lot of Primo’s Pizza. He will also give out his Channel 7 ABC “Breaking News Award.” Don’t miss this chance to meet our local TV celebrity in person. Everyone is invited to “Dancing in the streets” with DJ Dave on Hartz Ave., the fabulous voice of Tresena Griffon at Primo’s Pizza’s outside parking lot on Hartz Ave and Diablo Rd. On Prospect St., two world champion high-speed dragsters will be featured. Kids will be able to sit inside of a true racing powerhouse and be photographed by their parents or guardian. What a cool, once in a lifetime experience!
