Dear Members,

As we reach the end of the third quarter, I am thrilled to share some remarkable successes we’ve achieved together in the first nine months of this year Our association is on the brink of a significant milestone, with membership nearing 500 an all-time high in the history of the Black Hills Home Builders Association! This achievement is a testament to the collective effort, enthusiasm, and dedication of our members and staff

We have fostered an invigorating atmosphere within the association, with a strong public presence that is drawing in new members Our staff has been working tirelessly to build connections and encourage current members to recruit others, and it’s clear that our efforts are paying off

One of the standout events this year was the amazing open house hosted by Keating Resources in Deadwood. It provided a fantastic opportunity for our Northern Hills members to engage with one another and strengthen their ties to the association. The energy and camaraderie at this event were truly inspiring!

Additionally, we are excited about our upcoming sold-out golf tournament. We invite you to join us at the social on September 12 at the Elks Golf Course It's a wonderful chance to connect with fellow members, board members, and our dedicated staff while enjoying a great day of golf and networking

Looking ahead, we are eagerly anticipating the Parade of Homes on October 5 and 6 We have a fun incentive planned for our members, so be sure to check your email for more details!

Overall, the Black Hills Home Builders Association is moving forward with immense positivity, and we are genuinely excited about what the future holds Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our community. Together, we are building a brighter future.

Dear Members of the Black Hills Home Builders Association,

As we step into the second half of the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on our journey together and share some exciting news that highlights our progress and collective achievements.

Over the past three months, we have reached remarkable milestones, including winning not just one, but two national awards! We are thrilled to announce that we were recognized by the National Home Builders Association with the 2023 Best Website Redesign Award. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Dot Marketing and their dedicated team for their hard work and creativity in bringing this project to life, as well as our sponsors who supported us throughout this endeavor.

Additionally, last month brought us even more fantastic news: we won the National Membership Drive, achieving an impressive net growth of 8.1% in new members! With a retention rate of 84%, we are grateful to each of you for renewing your memberships and for spreading the word about the incredible work our association is doing.

Reflecting on my last two years as your Executive Vice President, I am filled with pride for what we have accomplished together. Our association is vibrant and united by a shared goal of advocating for the homebuilding industry and nurturing the workforce of the next generation. It’s inspiring to witness the business connections being made among our members and the recommendations that flow freely within our community.

Looking ahead, we are committed to introducing new events that will engage more of you and enhance our collective experience. Your support and participation are invaluable as we navigate this journey together. Remember, this is your association, and I am here to lead us toward making it the best it has ever been.

Thank you for your continued commitment and enthusiasm. Together, we will continue to achieve great things!

Boys and Girls Club Partnership

The Workforce and Scholarship Committee partnered with the Hill City Boys and Girls Club, Hills View Homes, On Point Electric, and Black Hills Exteriors to take the kids through every step of the home building process. The kids learned the importance of a good home foundation, to what style of siding works best for our weather, pulling wires in a house and wiring outlets in an almost finished home They got to end their day with lunch at one of Hill Views finished homes cooked by our BHHBA President Zach Shull.
