NIGHT TRAP MATCH

Gather your friends and enjoy this Night Trap match with a dinner special and social after the match, SATURDAY, JULY 1! Enjoy three rounds of Trap and one round of Handicap as you watch clays burst like fireworks! Prizes will be given to the top three winners for adults 18 and older, and youth, ages 6 to 17. RYC SUMMER CAMPS

Teens join Replica Youth Center (RYC) for fun in the sun camp activities JULY 3-31! There will be Chef’s Kitchen Camp, Survivor Camp, Amazing Race Camp, Adventure Camp and more! Camps will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is required and can be done at Replica Youth Center. Teens must be registered with CYS to participate in the Summer Camps. POP GOES THE FORT

Celebrate this momentous occasion with Family and MWR TUESDAY, JULY 4 at Biggs Park. Enjoy a day of fun with family and friends, gates open at 4 p.m. There will be food trucks, beverage stations and glow merch available for purchase. Experience the brilliant performances by the 1st Armored Division Band and the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, immediately followed by a spectacular fireworks display! Guests are welcome to bring picnic baskets, blankets, coolers and lawn chairs. Please remember outside alcoholic beverages, glass containers or pets are not allowed at the park. Mickelsen Community Library brings a summer of fun this July! Learn about “Chalk the Ramp” with your family and friends JULY 6 at 10 a.m., and enjoy a “Color Party Baby Story Time” from ages 0-18 months JULY 11 at 10 a.m. Looking for something open to ages 12 and older? Challenge your spelling abilities on a “Balloon Word Scramble,” JULY 12 at 2 p.m. Close up your Summer with a “Teen Karaoke” event, JULY 18 at 2 p.m., open to ages 13 and older, and show off your singing skills! RUN FOR FREEDOM

Join Youth Sports & Fitness SATURDAY, JULY 15 for the last race of the summer. Kick off the start of school on a good foot. The run will be from 7 to 9:30 a.m. at the Youth Sports Plex, located at 195 Chaffee Road. Children run free, the cost is $5 for parents who would like to purchase a t-shirt the day of race, it is cash only. BY ARMY COMMUNITY SERVICE (ACS) EMPLOYMENT READINESS PROGRAM (ERP)

The Fort Bliss Army Community Service (ACS) Hiring Fair is quickly approaching! The ACS Employment Readiness Program (ERP) is ready to connect hiring companies with the Military community, Aug. 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Centennial Banquet & Conference Center. It is open to all DoD ID cardholders, registration is not required.

EMPLOYMENT READINESS

Job seekers can expect to interact with more than 100 employers including government agencies, small and large businesses, nonprofits, other diverse industries and career fields. The event is free to attend!

The Fort Bliss ACS Hiring Fair continues to be a tool and opportunity to experience networking with vetted employers while interacting face-to-face and discovering a wide range of career opportunities available.

If you’re not ready for the Hiring Fair, don’t worry. The Employment Readiness Program will help you prepare through the Hiring Fair Prep class, July 27 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at ACS building, located at 2494 Ricker Road.

During the prep class, the Employment Readiness team will help you prepare for employment

opportunities. This class will cover résumé writing, interview skills, dress for success and more. It will also include a mock interview session that will give attendees a chance to practice their introductions. In addition, they will receive constructive feedback in preparation for navigating a hiring fair. Past attendees have raved about the ERP Hiring Prep class. To reserve your seat, call 915569-5838.

ERP is also available for one-on-one coaching for specific employment needs such as career exploration, résumé review, networking, entrepreneurship, individual career assessment and more.
