FAVORITE SUBJECT: My favorite subjects are chemistry and pre-calculus. In chemistry, we conduct many fascinating experiments and investigations. In math, as an upperclassman, in addition to AP classes, I can take high-level electives like multivariate calculus and statistics & probability. Also, our teachers know us

really well and are interested in what we do and who we are. EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: Robotics, Math Club, Soccer Team Manager WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO BOYS’ LATIN? Well, it was a combination of factors. I instantly connected with the people here. Also, my sister attends Johns Hopkins University, so the proximity was a big plus. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF BOARDING? I like being on campus so I can wake up a little later, but I value the camaraderie with the boys in the dorm the most. I didn’t know anyone when I started, but it didn’t take long to feel like I belonged.

OUR GRADUATES secure admission

to Ivy League institutions, small liberal arts schools, large state universities, specialized engineering and technology research universities, service academies and art and music conservatories.

OUR ROBUST STEAM PROGRAM

promotes problem-solving and innovation, evident through hands-on projects such as the construction, assembly and racing of go-karts.

OUR ARTS AND HUMANITIES PROGRAM

goes beyond the subject matter by incorporating real-world information. In Journalism, the class meets with professionals in the field to learn about this rapidly changing industry. The boys then use that information to cover life on Lake Avenue, producing a comprehensive online newspaper called The Inkwell. BOARDING AT BOYS’ L ATIN

BOARDERS ACTIVELY ENGAGE IN SCHOOL LIFE, from our highly

competitive athletic program to our world-class Lumberjacks robotics team to music and theater productions and our robust clubs program.

AT BOYS’ LATIN, there is space for

many leaders rather than a few. Unlike larger schools where students compete for limited spots on teams, in plays, or within student government, we create space for boys to discover new talents and pursue their passions.

OUR MISSION AND VALUES —

courage, integrity and compassion — are woven into everything we do and all aspects of School life. Our boys are challenged to think beyond themselves and become responsible, grounded and moral citizens.

WEEKENDS ARE A BUSY TIME FOR BOARDERS – from athletic competitions to theater productions to campus events and weekend trips, there is always something to do.

WEEKENDS AS MEMBERS OF A K-12 SCHOOL COMMUNITY boys have the opportunity

to act as positive role models for younger Lakers. For instance, during Halloween, boys help lower schoolers carve pumpkins and hand out candy as they trick-or-treat through the dorm.

WE HAVE A RANGE OF ACTIVITIES

planned for every weekend, including trips to nearby cities, attending local sporting events, hiking or skiing in the nearby Pocono Mountains, going to the movies and dining out.

“BOYS’ LATIN IS A PLACE WHERE BOYS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY AND AROUND THE WORLD CAN LEARN AND GROW TOGETHER. Several years ago, we envisioned a boarding program that would enhance our commitment to providing an outstanding, global education for boys. We hoped that boys from across the country and around the world would grow together, challenging themselves in the classroom, on the field and stage and everywhere in between. We envisioned a program where boys with varied experiences could learn from one another to become the best version of themselves. A place where boarding students fit seamlessly into our larger Laker family and peers become brothers. A place where boys can reach their full potential. I am thrilled to share that the vision is now a reality. Come take a look! — Headmaster Chris Post
