Boys’ Latin is small by design. We leverage our small size to ensure that every boy is truly known and deeply valued, inspiring each boy to achieve academic and personal excellence. Through our deliberate small size, we prepare students for a bright future and to make their mark on the world.

LIFE AT BOYS’ LATIN
Every boy is known for who he is today—and all he can be tomorrow. Teachers are mentors and peers become brothers. Building enduring personal relationships is the hallmark of Boys’ Latin and the foundation of the education we provide. Our dedicated faculty get to know each boy, learning what drives him, what books he loves and what his favorite part of the school day is. And our boys support each other through both their triumphs and challenges.

BUILDING CONNECTIONS OUR LAKER BUDDY program connects
upper schoolers with lower school students, to serve as big brothers and role models. Whether helping with homework, spending time on the playground or sharing stories, you can bet that they are building bonds that last a lifetime.
PUBLIC SPEAKING begins with
our youngest learners and continues through the upper school, building confidence every step of the way. This hard work culminates with each senior delivering a Senior Speech before the entire upper school, faculty, friends and parents where he shares his journeys, experiences and the lessons he’s learned through the years.

ACADEMICS AT BOYS’ LATIN
Learning designed for boys—experiential and hands-on. From the strongest learner who wants extra challenges to those who would like more support, we meet the needs of every boy. We teach boys to think critically, question assumptions and expand their capacity for inquiry. Whether our boys are challenging each other to build a championship-winning robot, collaborating on a multivariate calculus problem or creatively using art to represent a story or perspective, they are building the critical skills they need to succeed in school and in life.

EXTRACURRICULARS AT BOYS’ LATIN
We leverage the power of our small school to create a big stage for our boys. Boys have space to pursue their passions and discover talents they didn’t even know they had, because a life-changing education goes beyond the classroom. In our all-boys environment, students embrace their true selves, unlocking their full potential without the social pressure often found in coed settings. They are challenged to be multidimensional—not just a scholar or an artist or an athlete, but all of these and more.

ROBOTICS. The journey starts in
lower school, where boys learn basic programming to make their robots go. Middle schoolers tackle complex robot design, programming and compete against 60 plus teams at “RoboQuake on Lake,” a competition held at Boys’ Latin every year. As upper schoolers, boys can be part of our highly competitive Lumberjack Robotics Team.
FINE ARTS. Boys can get
their hands dirty and fire their imagination by painting, drawing, printmaking, collagemaking, ceramics, graphic design and so much more.
MUSIC. Musical opportunities
abound. Boys can learn instruments, join the band or jazz ensemble, play hand chimes and sing in the choir. They can also showcase their talents in our winter and spring concerts.

LEADERSHIP AT BOYS’ LATIN
A purposefully small school—with space for many leaders rather than a few. We believe each student has the capacity to lead. Boys can participate in student government in all divisions, captain an athletic team or our Lumberjacks robotics team, serve as an admissions ambassador, direct a play, become a Laker Buddy to a younger student, run a club, spearhead a service project and the list goes on and on.
