BLUE KNIGHT HEAD COACH NICK ROBERTS Nick Roberts, a native of Knutsford, England, and a 1994 graduate of Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa. has been at the helm of the Urbana University men's program since the 2008 season. Roberts has experience playing and coaching soccer at a multitude of levels.
He has been actively involved with coaching youth, ODP and club teams in Ohio and California since 1994. From 2002-2006, Roberts was the director of coaching and player development for Santa Rosa United, a 40-team youth soccer club in Santa Rosa, California. SRU won two national titles under the direction of Roberts, a feat the organization had never accomplished before. He also served on the Santa Rosa board of directors, and the Sonoma Soccer Complex board of directors, which was the driving force in raising $1.5 million to build a new soccer complex for Santa Rosa United. He continues to coach in the youth arena in Columbus with the Classic Eagles Soccer Club. During the 2007 season, the Tigers were consistently ranked in the top 25 in the nation in NCAA D-III.

GRADUATE ASSISTANT MIKE BAMBER Email: mbamber@urbana.edu Mike Bamber joined Head Coach Nick Roberts' coaching staff before the 2013 season. Bamber is a F.A. Level 2 qualified coach from Manchester, England. He has coached teams from all over the United States and England. Bamber also played at a high level overseas, including a stop at Sheffield United. While coaching the Blue Knights, Bamber is also working towards his Master's in Business Administration at Urbana University.

Blue Knight Notes: 2012 - G-MAC Second Team selection as a sophomore midfielder...Named Sportsman of the Year by the team at the All-Sports Athletic Banquet...Started 15 games this season, while making appearances in 17 of the 18 games the Blue Knights had this fall...Mwaliko had 1 assist ths seaon and 5 shots...His assist came on 9/11/12 against Lake Erie College in the 17th minute, to help the Blue Knights soar past the Storm with a 5-0 win. 2011 Played in 16 games, starting in 11 of those contests...Guarded #5 Mercyhurst's best player in the 1-0 upset on 9/16/11. 2010 - Named to the Fall 2010 Athletic Director's Honor Roll...Redshirted his first season at Urbana. Blue Knight Notes: 2012 - In his sophomore season, Ashton started and played in 14 of 18 games for the Blue Knights...He had one assist and 3 shots, all of them on goal...His assist came on 9/26/12 against #22 ranked Davis and Elkins College in the 95th minute of OT, to teammate Yves, whom put a header in the back of the net for the win. 2011 - Named to Athletic Director's Fall Honor Roll...Played in and started 11 games for the Blue Knights before going down with an injury...Ashton recorded his first career assist vs. Salem International on 11/2/11 after returning from the injury that cost him 7 games of the season.

ABOUT URBANA UNIVERSITY

The stateof-the-art stadium was built on the south end of campus in 2006. The Blue Knights play and practice on the stadium’s allweather field turf. The field has seating capacity for over 3,000. Men’s and women’s soccer games are often popular events on campus on autumn afternoons. Admission is free, so come out and support the Blue Knights as often as you can!

ABOUT URBANA UNIVERSITY Urbana University administers aid from a number of federal and state programs, including Pell Grants, Ohio Instructional Grants, SEOG Grants, Perkins Loans, Student Stafford Loans, and Parent Plus Loans. Applicants are encouraged to apply early in their senior year of high school, though there is no stated deadline. While admissions are flexible based on high school achievements and grades, applicants are usually accepted based on having a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 and an ACT score no less than an “18” (or SAT score of 860). Urbana University is a member of NCAA Division II. The Blue Knight athletic teams compete against NCAA D-I, D-II, D-III and NAIA programs from across the country in 15 intercollegiate sports including: football, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s cross country, and men’s and women’s swimming. Women’s lacrosse became the 15th intercollegiate team during the 2010-11 school year, and men’s and women’s bowling club teams were added in 2009. A variety of activities are also offered for student enrichment including: theater, concerts, pep and marching bands, choir, movies, parties, guest speakers, comedians, flag football, intramural basketball, skiing, student newspaper, sand volleyball, indoor pool, student government and nearby outdoor adventure activities (canoeing, rafting, hiking, camping, etc.).
The 27,000-square-feet Student Center is one of Urbana University’s newest on-campus facilities. Features include the Bundy Wellness Center, lounge, conference and meeting rooms, snack bar, and a bookstore. Wireless computer service is available throughout the facility.
In 2003, a major renovation project was completed at Barclay Hall and adjacent Bailey Hall. The two buildings, which house classrooms, are now connected by an atrium and a secondary walkway.
Urbana University is dedicated to providing superb residence hall facilities to its students. McConnell Hall (above) was completed in the summer of 2007, and Sycamore Residence Hall (left) was completed in 2004.

The Warren G. Grimes Center (left) has been a mainstay on Urbana University’s campus for decades. Located on the south end of campus, the Grimes Center houses the gymnasium, swimming pool, racquetball courts, a new state-of-the-art free weight room, along with all of the athletic staff offices and additional classrooms. A sand volleyball court is located behind the Grimes Center. The facility is a hub for almost all student-athlete activity on campus.
