Dies ist die Hommage an ein liebenswürdig marodes, aber nach wie vor höchst lebendiges Tanzetablissement, das den Zauber, Persönlichkeiten und Geschichten des vergangenen Jahrhunderts auf magische Weise in sich bewahrt – ganz wie eine Schatulle voller Edelsteine. Einst prunkvolle Tapeten erinnern an vornehme Tanzgesellschaften und zwielichtige Tändeleien auf samtig schimmernden Chaiselongues im Séparée. Andächtig schwofende Paare wiegen sich verklärt im Tango Rhythmus. Ein Tanzabzeichen – fantasievoll verliehen für die größte Leidenschaft im Dreivierteltakt. Der Concierge nimmt an der Garderobe die Contenance entgegen: Ist der Ruf erst ruiniert, tanzt es sich im Ballhaus ungeniert!
This is a tribute to graciously shabby, but never the less highly vibrant ballroom of the twentieth century that keeps the magic, personalities and stories of former times from fading away just like a jewel case. Once magnificent wallpapers remind of elegant, grand balls and louche flirtations on velvet chaise longues in shaded private rooms. Hopping dancing couples sway their hips with abandon to the thrilling tango rhythm. “The dancing badge is mine!” calls out the most passionate dancer of three-quarter time. Once left your good manners in the cloakroom, you will dance as if there’s no doom!
