DAYS 1-2 halifax

DAY 7-8 Urbania - Advocate Harbour

Halifax, located on one of the world’s largest natural harbours, bears all the hallmarks of both a modern and historic city. Walk or rent a bike and explore the city or take to the water either by kayak, a tall-ship sailing tour or the Harbour Hopper – an amphibious tour on land and water. Evening entertainment is abundant with unique cocktail bars, local craft breweries and live music in many of the pubs.

As 100 billion tonnes of water rush into the Bay of Fundy, take an adrenalin-inducing Zodiac ride on tidal bore waves, feel the rush of mud sliding and float on the world’s highest tides. Travel to the north side of the Bay of Fundy and explore Cape Chignecto Provincial Park, featuring backcountry and day-use trails, magnificent beaches and sea kayaking. Discover sea stacks, lava tubes, coastal caves, towering arches, waterfalls and the ‘Three Sisters’ rock formation.

DAYs 3-4 halifax - lunenburg - Kejimkujik 90 miles / 55 miles. Visit the working fishing village of Peggy’s Cove and take a photo of one of the most photographed lighthouses in the world. Guided sea kayaking or Stand-Up Paddleboard tours offer the chance to come up close to seals, porpoise, and seabirds. The seafaring town of Lunenburg, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, boasts a colourful waterfront, narrow streets, and captivating architecture. Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site offers visitors the opportunity to hike one of the 15 trails through woodlands or canoe one of the waterways used by the native Mi’kmaq. When the sun sets, visit the Sky Circle and don’t forget to look up and gaze at the incredible dark sky.

DAYs 5-6 Digby – Wolfville 40 miles / 85 miles. Spot some of the 12 species of whale in the Bay of Fundy on a thrilling zodiac boat adventure! The worldfamous bay is Nova Scotia’s premier eco-tourism destination.

DAYs 9-10 Baddeck 240 miles. Baddeck is described as the beginning and the end of Cape Breton Island’s world-famous Cabot Trail. Cape Breton Island has been named the number one Island in North America by both Condé Nast Traveler and Travel and Leisure magazine. Nestled along the shore of the Bras d’Or Lake, this town is a favourite stop for sailors and those looking for tranquil beauty in the heart of the island. Hike to the waterfall in Uisge Bàn Falls Provincial Park, then enjoy fresh lobster and authentic Celtic entertainment.

DAYs 11-12 Pleasant Bay - Ingonish 80 miles / 40 miles. The world-famous Cabot Trail weaves through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park of magnificent highlands and coastal wilderness. Offering 26 hiking trails, camping, geocaching, golf, cycling, wildlife, beaches, and stunning
