Sports Solutions Keep your Facilities Safe with our 80% Alcohol Sanitizers and Touchless Dispensing Systems
1. Our 80% Alcohol Antiseptic Hand Sanitizer Rub/Spray and 80% Sanitizer Gel kill viruses and bacteria in seconds. Use on hands, clothes, and equipment. Just spray surfaces, let dry, and done! Our sanitizers are FDA and WHO approved, and made in the USA in our FDA registered lab. Gallon size (4 gallons/case).
2. If your facility uses gym wipes, we have the Zogics Z500-S Free-Standing Steel Floor Dispenser with a trash can included. This adjustable height gym wipe dispenser allows you to control the tension so wipes dispense one at a time. We have Zogics Z800 Antibacterial Surface Wipes (4/ case or each) that fit the wipes dispenser. The Z500-U Wipes Dispenser is available separately and can be wall mounted. You can also make your own wet wipes with a roll of our dry wipes in a dispenser, adding SSI’s 80% Alcohol Sanitizer Liquid.
“The Cooper Fitness Center was recently introduced to Sports Solutions Alcohol Antiseptic 80% Hand Rub/Spray. As a rub or spray, this hand sanitizer is meant to be left on and not rinsed off with water. Some products have a typical sticky residue feeling, this product is not guilty. And to top it off, the smell is not offensive. I use it on everything, and, after all these perks, we discovered its versatility in creating own wet wipes! I add it to my dry wipes and make my own sanitizing wipes. This product has proven to be a jewel!” B. Mukidah W. Cooper Fitness Center, A Cooper Aerobics Company “The hand sanitizer is fantastic! I really appreciate you coming through for us when we were in a bind!” DeAnn E. EVO Payments, Inc. “Sports Solutions Hand Sanitizer Rub/Spray is really a great product and used frequently in our office. Our Foot and Ankle offices remain open for in-person visits with adjusted schedules that provide greater space between patients and more time needed for heighten sanitizing. The hand sanitizer from Sports Solutions has become a staple for some of our staff that has to transition between clinic and the rest of the office. The sanitizer is a liquid mist (not a gel), evaporates quickly, and doesn’t leave hands feeling sticky. Thank you Sports Solutions for creating a product to help keep our staff and patients safe!”
3. We have free-standing floor stands with automatic touchless dispensers. The stand height is adjustable, and the battery operated dispensers hold 33.8 oz. of sanitizer liquid or gel. These stands create a sanitizing station in a very small space.

Castor Design Associates, Inc. “It has been a great pleasure to work with Castor Design Associates over the past two decades. I was fortunate to work with Tim as we designed and opened the amazing Bridges Clubhouse in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, 20 years ago. There is no “rubber stamp”, “boilerplate,” or “one size fits all” solution when it comes to Castor Design. They work closely with you to create your vision and deliver projects on time, under budget, and to the overwhelming thrill of your club members!” Tim Walker, CCM, GM Ingomar Club, Eureka, CA “The Lakes Country Club has been working with Castor Design Associates over the past 18 months, developing a design for our new state of the art Fitness Center and our existing Clubhouse renovation. Their ability to complement our architectural design with our new interiors brings a level of design members are expecting in today’s club environment.” Frank Melon, GM,/COO The Lakes Country Club, Palm Desert, CA “Mission Lakes Country Club engaged Castor Design Associates to develop a new design for our clubhouse expansion, which includes a new 19th Hole. Their ability to read the membership’s desired look was unmatched. This made for easy work in getting membership consensus on the overall vision.”

Castor Design Associates, Inc. Denver Scottsdale Rancho Mirage P/ 800.983.9762 P/ 303.378.6474 E/ timc@cdainterior.com Mission Lakes Country Club, Desert Hot Springs, CA, had outgrown their existing clubhouse. The main porte cochere was too small. The existing linear bar was against a wall and offered no crosstalk. They also had an empty room in the lower level of the clubhouse they wanted to convert into a 19th Hole. The first rendering illustrates the new main porte cochere design and how it marries with the existing clubhouse. The second rendering illustrates how we developed a new bar design that encourages membership engagement. The third rendering proposes an informal 19th Hole for members to gravitate after a round of golf. We were able to develop a design that started with the exterior of the club and flowed from the Main Lobby, Bar Lounge, 19Th Hole, to the Formal Dining Room.

Lichten Architects OUR GOAL IS SIMPLE: TO CREATE BEAUTIFUL, COMFORTABLE, WELL-CRAFTED DESIGNS THAT IMPROVE WITH TIME. Formed in 1991, Lichten Architects is an award-winning architecture firm based in New York with a portfolio comprised of private club, high-end residential, and institutional projects. Our work has been featured in the New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, Traditional Home, BoardRoom, and numerous books and blogs. The success of Lichten Architects’ projects is best attributed to the strength of the firm’s design vision, a collaborative approach, and responsiveness to both client and place. We are known for an integrated, seamless, and coordinated approach
to our projects. We understand that no two projects are alike in their requirements and execution. We are accustomed to complex programming and client priorities. Beyond design, we manage the multifaceted process of building a project: from analyzing codes to navigating member committees and public agencies, from coordinating with capital campaign committees to delivering welldocumented plans and on to construction administration — a continuum from the first conversation to move-in day.

“We interviewed six different companies, both local and national firms. The field was reduced to two national companies, and in the end, we overwhelmingly selected C2 Limited Design Associates. C2 was wonderful to work with; Craig Smith has a low-key style and is a great listener. He understands the committee process and the mind of a club member. Our project passed with an 81 percent approval, despite the largest member capital assessment ever. Not only is the design a huge success, but Christina Romann’s interior decorating and furnishings are outstanding. The club now has a consistent look and feel throughout. “My number one goal for the election is ensuring a smooth process for my members – and myDirectVote® delivered.” Kim Delaney, Director Business Operations & Finance Edina Country Club
Club Profile Established in 1923, Edina Country Club (ECC) is a private country club located in Edina, MN. ECC’s mission is to be a premier country club providing diverse recreational opportunities for members and their families in a manner that is wholesome, enjoyable, family-oriented, and of consistently high quality. Challenge In the past, an election committee made up of member volunteers ran and oversaw ECC’s election process. As this group of members got older, they passed the reigns over to club staff. The challenge with the election was similar to what many private clubs deal with; the amount of time and energy it takes to run a paper-based election process. Additionally, we were searching for a more efficient way for young and engaged members to connect with ECC through voting. Solution When myDirectVote® was introduced as a solution, I was immediately interested. My staff and I had been looking for a way to rid ourselves of some of the general “monkey business,” so to speak, associated with a paper election: designing paper ballots, printing, stuffing the envelopes, mailing, calling in a group of members to act as an election committee, etc. I have been pleased with the switch over to the online voting system. My number one goal for the election is ensuring a smooth process for my members – and myDirectVote delivered. Member participation was just as good if not better than in the past, and the election ran smoothly. We had several members comment that they enjoyed the rich features associated with the online biographies built into the ballot. These members felt that they got to know the candidates better by being able to see the name of the candidate, biographical info, and picture all in the same spot. And that is what I want – continually improving the ECC experience for members and connecting with them through voting. WWW.BOARDROOMMAGAZINE.COM | 949.376.8889

Harris Interiors (HINT) “From the largest detail to the smallest, Harris Interiors gave us confidence that our vision could become a reality. They worked effortlessly with our committees and board, answering questions and providing solutions, all while maintaining the vision and identity that we were hoping to achieve through the renovations we commissioned at the cub. When we decided to create a master plan for our future club renovations and remodeling, our first choice was Harris Interiors and the quality professionalism they offer.” Mark Bado, MCM, CCE Myers Park Country Club, Charlotte, NC “I have worked with Kelley Harris now for eight years as our chosen professional interior designer. His work speaks for itself through the comments from my members. He is gracious in his approach; therefore, he is great with the members and especially the committees. He has a business mind and knows that there is a balance to be had with interior design and costs. He is resourceful, flexible, and especially responsive to requests, even those which are off the wall. I would recommend to anyone wanting to find a new interior designer, Kelley Harris is the right choice. Hands down!”

MOBILE COMMUNICATION
MemberText ABOUT US
MemberText is the leading texting platform for golf and country clubs, powering over 1.3 million texts a month for over 350 clients across the United States As email has become less and less effective, texting, with its 98 percent open rate, is the predominant communication tool for clubs looking to push important updates out to members, fill events, engage members, and more. As a team dedicated to the club industry, we fast-tracked new features that have significantly helped club clients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We launched Touchless Menus, Text Buzzer, Weather Alerts to create even easier ways for clubs to be informative, allow members to take action quickly, and allow staff to be responsive.
“I sent out a text that said ‘Folks, Valentine’s Day is almost sold out, call for reservations’ -- had them filled in 5 minutes.” Geoff Piva, GM Lanam Country Club
“Love using Member Text, it’s incredible. Great value. And our members love it, most importantly.” Desi Speh, GM Arizona Country Club
“Our membership loves it because we can use it to communicate anything--not just advertising but when we have issues like closing the pool down.” Mark Petzing, GM Kirtland Country Club
Whether you are looking to have an easy way to reach members in seconds, enhance your F&B process through taking pre-orders, pushing out specials, or just letting members know when their carryout order is ready for pickup, we can help improve your process. We would love to show you how clubs around the country are leveraging this useful and affordable tool. Please visit www.membertext. net or call/text us direct (240) 630-4365.

SUPERINTENDENT
Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) TESTIMONIALS
ABOUT US
“When I entered the golf maintenance world eight years ago, I brought with me heavy equipment experience, but very little small engine and agronomy knowledge. The main thing I have learned through the Equipment Management Certificate Program is that experience is your strongest attribute. Even a little experience goes a long way on your journey to completing this program. The team at GCSAA is more like family, and they have been pushing me to continue with the program even though you can do it at your own pace. It’s always nice to know that there is a team in your corner, helping you strive for success. I will continue with this program until I reach Level 1 and Level 2 Certificates, for myself, for my team, and for my company. Professional development for turf technicians may be hard to find, but GCSAA continues to be the leader and cheering section we all need to become better Equipment Managers.”
The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) is a leading golf organization in the United States. Its focus is on golf course management, and since 1926 GCSAA has been the top professional association for the men and women who manage golf courses in the U.S. and worldwide. From its headquarters in Lawrence, KS, the association provides education, information and representation to nearly 19,000 members in more than 78 countries. The association’s mission is to serve its members, advance their profession and enhance the enjoyment, growth and vitality of the game of golf. Kayla L. Kipp, Golf Course Equipment Manager Lodestone & Fantasy Valley Golf Course “I started the ASCS as a stepping stone for the next step in my career. I find that the program is well designed to help enrich my skill set, whether its environmental, leadership, business management, or agronomy. There is something for every assistant in the series to learn from and become an asset to their club. As a member of GCSAA, the webinars are free for two of the certificates. GCSAA has the right idea of getting this going as it can be a way to push an assistant to the next level.” Carey Hofner, Assistant Superintendent Club at Cordillera

Paisano Performance Partners In This Environment We Must Manage Smarter Managing a club team to top performance was challenging before Covid-19. Add to the already stressful club environment, an invisible enemy that threatens our very livelihood, and managing a team only got more challenging. In this environment, smart managers utilize technology to manage and drive top performance safely. Here is what club professionals say about using Performance++ by Paisano Performance Partners: “At Bonita Bay Club, the decision to move to an internet-based performance management system improved access and process. “An internet-based process allows multiple supervisors and the HR department to review any performance review at any time. Managers can add notes which can be later reflected on when conducting the performance review, preventing the “halo” or “recency” effect.” With over 300 performance reviews to manage each year and a staff of ONE in the HR Department, I can speak first-hand to the process benefits of the new system. “The greatest benefits we have noticed are speed and convenience. Managers have everything in one place. They can stop and start the process at any time. The reminders feature allows managers to set it and forget it.” Peggy Taylor, SPHR, SHRM-SCP Director of Human Resources Bonita Bay Club “Without a doubt, the best way to remain consistent evaluating all staff members is to use Performance ++. The feedback we receive helps to improve service to our members every day.” Bill Johnson CCM/CCE GM/COO

Emersa WaterBox TESTIMONIALS “I must tell you, we have been receiving such fantastic feedback about our boxed water. We actually have a group staying with us right now that chooses their hotels solely on their plastic consumption. They told us we would forever be their hotel of choice in Portland.” General Manager AC Portland “As our customer’s continue to search for ways to become more environmentally conscious and reduce their impact on the planet, we have had overwhelming positive feedback on the WaterBox alternative to plastic water bottles. The WaterBoxes allow for our clients to market themselves all while telling the “green,” story that is so important to today’s youth. “ John Hickey WB Mason

EXECUTIVE SEARCH
KOPPLIN KUEBLER & WALLACE ABOUT US
“We interviewed several well-qualified search firms to assist us, but you and your team immediately stood out from all the rest. Your expertise, easy accessibility, and complete confidence that we would end up in a better place as a result of the process was incredibly reassuring. From the start of our search process, your systematic and comprehensive approach to determining what our club needed from a general manager and how you were going to find us that person was spot on. You outlined exactly what would occur at each step of the way, and set a reasonable and efficient timeline. On behalf of our search committee, the board of governors, and all the members of Burning Tree Country Club, please accept our sincere appreciation for your hard work and the extremely successful outcome.” Jenifer Bologna, President Burning Tree Country Club, Greenwich, CT

“On behalf of our entire search committee here at Skokie Country Club, I want to thank you for all the good work you provided on our behalf in finding our replacement for Chuck. I’m sure this was one of the more unique paths to a successful outcome you’ve been involved with, but without the full market examination, candidate feedback, profile comparisons, and intelligence gathered throughout, we could never have landed where we did with confidence. I particularly appreciate both of your attention to detail and availability throughout. Despite my reaching for you on Sundays, Friday nights, and in the middle of nights, you guys were always on full alert with help. Thank you again for all your time, energy, counsel, and assistance on our behalf.

“Dick, I’ve now used your company to lead searches for a golf course superintendent, a director of golf/athletics, and now an executive chef— which have all resulted in some of our greatest team members. On behalf of Congressional Country Club, we wanted to send you a note of thanks for the efforts that Lisa Carroll and KK&W put in on behalf of our recent executive chef search. And while effort is important, it is really her results that matter, and we could not be happier with those. Thank you for what you do for our industry, and more importantly, thank you for making our clubs better through your leadership.”
