“Fantastic service! It has helped me get back out there and grab my rod. The crew are friendly, helpful and hands on where needed. If you or a family member love fishing and want to get out in the sunshine, I highly recommend giving Able Anglers a call and organising with them to give it a go. You won't be disappointed.” – Ken. G “It is the second time my partner has gone out; I went the first time. I would recommend Able Anglers to any support coordinators who are looking for something amazing and different. Best days ever; so many activities and good people. My partner loves it and looks forward to all their activities.” – Theresa Flynn “Able Anglers took me on a respite leave to Coolangatta. Despite the bad weather for the first couple of days, I had a great time. The best thing about it was the freedom to do the activities at my own pace. If I wanted to do something, Steve made sure it happened. I ate like a king, eating whatever I wanted. The accommodation was brilliant – 5-star – and it was great having my own room. I would recommend Able Anglers to anyone with a disability looking to get away from everyday stress and to try some new things in new places while living like a king/ queen. The hardest part was readjusting to my everyday routine upon returning home.” – Andrew Brown
STA/RESPITE SUPPORT. Short-term accomm. (STA) is accessible for short periods of time when a participant’s usual support worker and/or accommodation cannot be accessed. STA offers opportunities for people with a disability/mental illness to meet new people and try new activities, while allowing carers to take a break.
