defeat by expecting it. I told her she was going to beat this situation and by the way, didn’t look a day older than last time I saw her the year before.

Amazingly, she perked up and almost started to glow, her thoughts moved to a positive process thinking about her situation and knew what she needed to do to resolve her issue.

Here we are again in a fresh new year; you’re getting ready to start the year off with all your ambitions and hopes laid out before you -- through your resolutions. Oh…I know you don’t make resolutions anymore… you and I know why.

They just don’t pan out as the year comes halfway into the first quarter; we feel defeated so we fall into our old habits or disappointments. STOP! Don’t even think this way.

Do you realize that you have all the power within you to change your life! I mean really change your health, aging, and even circumstance of your life -- all through your mind! I teach different types of meditation, one of which is creating. Yes, you can create through your meditation which is even more powerful than storyboarding or affirmations. There is a saying and it is most true, “You are what you think.” Or, in the case of you taking control, let’s change that to, “Think what you will be.”

Then you will have control of your destiny.

Throughout this past year, I have sent many people to a hypnotherapist to help them get in control of their lives. Many people get caught up in a difficult mindset brought on by a circumstance in their life, or even from a past life, or through a constant sadness or maybe feeling defeated and can’t seem to clear themselves from difficult thoughts.

The reason I send my clients to a hypnotherapist is so that they can -- through the subconscious mind -- review the thought that is holding them back from living their life to the fullest. Then they heal it and file it back into the subconscious mind. Once that is done, they have a clean slate to work from and now will accomplish their goals. Learning about creation through meditation, you can get started on a new career, feel better about your current career, and lose or gain weight. You can feel in control of your body and slow down the aging process through feeling that you are young in body and mind. Yes, it is all what you create.

Here’s one example of this. I had a client that had gone through a great deal this past year. She came in for a reading and looked defeated and tired, claiming she felt that she had aged 10 years through her stress. She was slumped over and distressed as I started the reading, looking into what was happening in her now and in her future which at that point was defeat and ill health. Unfortunately, some people set their own

Myself, I have gone through so many health issues that the doctors in their limited thoughts on my health say that I would not improve or even worse, they had given me a death sentence on three occasions! Well, every time I proved them wrong by using the power of my mind -- rethinking my health and mortality. When I create in meditation, I think what I want and believe it to be true; such as seeing every cell in my body in perfect harmony and reproducing at their optimal level.

In 1973, I had the most wonderful experience attending a class called, Silva Mind Control, now called, The Silva Method, founded by Jose Silva. One of the many things taught during this life-changing weekend was this -- do not accept negative thoughts or you will let them become your reality. Example: someone tells you everyone is catching a cold, so you’re next!

Silva teaching is to tell your mind to cancel that thought by repeating ‘cancel’ twice, “Cancel-Cancel.” This is sending your mind the message that it will not accept the “everyone knows” narrative. When you are nervous, fearful of reaching out to someone for any reason, completing a test, going for a job interview, or just trusting in your own psyche, you can stop the fearful narratives that run through your mind.

Replace the negative thought or fearful thought with what you instead desire. See it be your reality and believe it. You have heard of the old saying, “Fake it until you make it.” Well, this runs along that same thought process. “You are what you think,” is another well-known saying -- and so right! You can have the year you have been waiting for by simply envisioning it. Believe in it and do not doubt that you are in control, and you are now in the new beginnings of your life path.

Certain drugs – can relieve immediate pain, but should be viewed as a temporary solution since long-term use of them has side effects. Don’t settle for the typical medical model approach. There are many options to consider.

Alternative Possible Solutions to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: The best way to treat CTS is in its early stages. Here are some possible solutions to consider.

Avoiding positions that overextend your wrist – This simple and often overlooked approach can be extremely effective. As the saying goes, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

Treatment of any underlying conditions you may have - Underlying conditions such as diabetes or arthritis are common contributing factors to CTS. Brace or splint - One form of treatment is the use of a brace or splint during work activities or while sleeping. This serves to restrict the movement of the wrist so as not to exacerbate the condition.

Physical Therapy – PT stretches and exercises designed to take pressure off the median nerve can be effective in and by itself or used in conjunction with other forms of treatment.

Herbs -Certain herbs can help reduce the symptoms of CTS. Acupuncture - an ancient technique of traditional Chinese medicine, has long been used to treat chronic pain.

Scenar – A device that produces a micro-current frequency that mirrors the

our spiritual work from the past can be helpful, but we may need to let go of some old beliefs and assumptions. If we have allowed our own true Higher Self and Inner Wisdom to be our center and to guide our lives, the transition is easier.

Our new world self is a unique focus of the One, unlike all others. No system of spirituality or belief and no prior experience can prepare us for the new level of individuality we are facing. We need to be open to trusting our own true self as we step into this next experience of unity and wholeness. In my work as a healer, ascension worker and trainer of healers, I help people strengthen their ability to make this transition into their unique gifts and opportunities. I am skilled at identifying where they are stuck in old world identity or soul contracts and help them own their power to release the past so they can live fully in their present and shift up vibrationally.

This article was inspired when I spent 2 ½ hours with an IT person cleaning up my computer which was running incredibly slow. Together we explored what could be deleted, adjusted or updated, and now my computer is running easy and smooth again! That could be a metaphor for what I do spiritually for my clients and students. After a treatment, they may feel like they’ve received a brand new system; efficient and ready to work at the higher vibrations of the new world.

If you do spiritual practices like chakra tuning and aura clearing, try asking your Inner Wisdom to help you shift up to your new world chakras and aura. These are already there for you at that new vibration. We call this higher level of life, the new world, and it is available to everyone, but living there is a choice, at least for the foreseeable future. To shift up to the new world, breathe deep into your heart where your Inner Wisdom is easiest to access. Center in that still, sweet place within, and relax into the intention to live in your new world self within the new world. Then, welcome the shift up. In ancient times, shame originated as a tactic to control tribal members. Tribes would protect members if they did not step outside of the “pale” or defined territories, but if a member did not obey the tribal rules, the tribe exercised abandonment or shame. Abandonment or shame/shunning meant struggle or death, as survival depended upon living within the protection of the tribe. Today, many religions also use shame or the fear of being shamed as a method to instill obedience to religious rules.

Emotionally, shame can drive us to not feeling good enough, needing and seeking approval. Shame can lead us to withdraw from a social connection or act out in anger. Shame can cause bonding with others who reinforce feelings of victimhood. These unhealthy relationships can spiral into more selfhatred and self-abuse. Living with shame is damaging to self-worth and makes it difficult to make positive life choices based on self-love and care.

Like ancient tribes and religions, families use shame in the same way to control family members. Dysfunctional family expectations may be to keep the “dirty secrets” of alcoholism, sexual abuse, addictions to food or drugs, and hoarding. This sense of shame in family members is passed down from one generation to another, often without members being consciously aware of it.

Shame may also originate from negative comments on physical appearance, poor academic performance, learning disabilities, social status, financial struggle, chronic illness, and physical challenges.

Physically, shame drains vitality and can be part of the cause of dis-ease. A Bucknell University researcher, Jean M. Lamont, found that women who felt bodyshame tended to have more infections and overall lower levels of health. I personally believe this phenomenon is caused by mind-body interactions via neuropeptides (Drs. Candice Pert, Bruce Lipton & Joe Dispenza.) Also, if a person feels body-shame, she/he cannot love her/his body. Lack of self-love leads to lack of self-care leads to poor health.

Another study published in the Journal of Psychosomatic Medicine found that feelings of shame increased proinflammatory cytokines. Cytokines are a large group of proteins, peptides or glycoproteins secreted by cells of the immune system which mediate immunity and inflammation.

Shame is an emotion that is toxic because it internalizes into negative self-worth. Shame tells us that “we are not good enough.” Unlike shame, guilt is an emotion which is only attributed to behavior, not the person. Guilt says, “I did something bad.” Shame says, “You are a bad person.” Shame is an emotion highly correlated with anxiety, depression, addictions, chronic pain, digestive disorders, eating disorders, perfectionism, compulsive behaviors,

Story to Define You The ego wants to protect the self from the pain of shame so, it can be difficult to voice the cause of shame. Shame thrives in secrecy. Finding a safe support group, therapist, or holistic mental health practitioner to discuss your source of shame helps release it. By breaking the secrecy and connecting with support, you can be vulnerable. Brené Brown’s work reminds us that when people have a healthy connection with appropriate boundaries and vulnerability, shame cannot exist.

Safely telling your story with vulnerability will help set you free from shame. However, after a while, telling your story can become a trap. The ego starts to identify with it, and “the story” can keep you stuck from feeling truly free. Discussing the source of shame is the first step in the healing process.

Letting go of your story and the source of shame is freedom. The memories are there, although foggy, they do not matter anymore. So how do you let go of your source of shame and move on? Some effective methods are described below.

EFT Tapping – This is an energy meridian technique which stimulates mind-body points to release stagnant energy and dissipate energy which gives negative emotions a life of their own. It breaks the emotional patterns and allows emotional re-patterning of self-love and forgiveness.

often contain a slew of different chemicals and neurotoxins like MSG (monosodium glutamate) and Aspartame that come in various names.

Detoxification!

At this point, you have probably heard one of the hottest words in the health and wellness field.

DETOXIFICATION! Everybody has a say on it yet most don’t understand it. There are naysayers who shout from the tops of their Facebook page, “There’s no such thing as detoxing via (insert new internet fad)” and on the other end of the spectrum (via their Facebook page) “I was about to die until I drank this. PM me for info.” One of my favorite lines and I have to agree a little bit with it, is “If it says it clears toxins but it or the person selling it can’t name those toxins, it’s probably a sham.” To know what’s real you have to educate yourself.

Let’s talk toxins and where they come from. Honestly, they come at us from so many angles. There are toxins in the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the creams we put on our skin, the pans we cook our food in, the plastics we store our food in, the ground we play on, etc. The list can go forever. I want to focus on just a few areas here, and in case you were wondering, all of these toxins do have names. Here is a sampling of them and where they are from.

First is air pollution. This is one that we all come in contact with and it doesn’t matter what filter you put on your furnace. It doesn’t grab everything and sooner or later you have to walk outside. Air pollution contains many different heavy metals, VOCs, and fine particulate matter (particulates smaller than 2.5 micrometers that can pass through lung tissue.) Often this comes from various factories and plants near and far around the world. Winds in the atmosphere can carry these things from very great distances.

Our food supply is chock full of weird things. For example, non-organic chicken contains cyanide (helps plump chickens faster than regular feed alone), pesticides and fungicides are on heavily sprayed fruits, veggies, and even coffee, which are toxic, estrogenic, and disrupt your hormone balance. There are antibiotics and heavy metals in farm-raised fish (methylmercury is big here). These are just a few of the non-processed foods with different toxins. Water contains various things like excess chlorine, fluoride, and copper. The biggest news-maker right now is the lead in public drinking water in Flint and also recently discovered in Detroit. Processed/prepacked foods and sauces

Health and beauty creams often contain chemicals like parabens, phthalates, triclosan, and oxybenzone. These have been linked to inflammation, cancer, and hormone disruption. Heating food in plastics imparts phthalates into foods.

Phthalates, in particular, have been heavily linked to hormone disruption and lowering sperm count.

I hope at this point you can see there are NUMEROUS names for many of the toxins we encounter. It is so overwhelming that our body cannot process them fast enough through normal detoxification, and therefore stores these toxins in fat cells as a way to try to quarantine them. This creates some problems because you cannot easily burn fats that have stored toxins.

This is the cause of weight loss battles for many people.

Those who do burn through those fats often feel sick and lousy because those toxins have become free throughout their body.

There is a specific process of detoxification which happens in three phases. Phase 1 is the process of releasing the toxin from the fat cell. Phase 2 is where the unlocked toxin is conjugated or converted from a fat-soluble toxin to a watersoluble toxin. This is vitally important because in phase 3 the actual elimination of the toxin cannot be done unless it is water soluble. Usually, a form of fiber absorbs the toxin and you eliminate this through a bowel movement. Nutrition plays a huge role in all three phases in order to release, conjugate, and eliminate toxins properly. Keeping your phases balanced is also crucial, or you can actually re-toxify yourself and feel sick.

This is why detoxing is not a great idea to do on your own but should be done under the supervision of a doctor who knows when you need help in getting your detoxing phases balanced.

We employ many different programs for detoxification -- from toxin specific nutrition and ionization -- to specialized programs like the Standard Process 21-day purification. New Year is a time when so many of us will make a resolution to change in some way. The most common resolutions made at the beginning of 2019 were: Eat healthier, get more exercise, save more money, greater focus on self-care -- especially getting enough sleep-- read more, make new friends, learn a new skill and get a new job.

These are great intentions for Americans. At some level of our consciousness, we know that the way many of us live, work and care for ourselves can use significant improvement. And despite all of us knowing that we need to make course corrections in the direction of our lives, about 80% of the resolutions made on New Year’s Eve will fall by the wayside before February is finished. Why? If you are interested in real change, stack the deck in your favor by creating a solid plan to approach personal change from a spiritual perspective. Some suggestions for your plan: Start by forgiving yourself -- you have always done the best you could at the time so release the past. We have all had enough shame for a lifetime. It is time to become your own chief cheerleader.

Adopt or strengthen a Mindfulness practice that will help you remain focused on your intentions.

Connect with like-minded people who will support your efforts. Life is better in Community!

Work with an accountability partner, someone you trust to be honest with you.

Set written goals that stretch you and are realistic. Once you achieve a goal, set another; inch by inch, day by day, is the sure way to stay on track.

Remain conscious and track your progress. If you stumble, quickly forgive yourself and immediately take a positive step to get back on track. Do not listen to the perfectionist in your head that wants to throw in the towel at the first challenge.

Use the power of your imagination to visualize the life you are creating. Make a Vision Board to assist you.

Everyone wants to change something about their life but few want to actually change. The reality is that change is always happening. The life you have now is a result of thousands of choices made over time. We humans always have the ability to choose again.

Both of these authors strongly believe that we create our own illnesses. On the positive side, however, we can also make ourselves well. Louise suggests affirmations, and Dolores recommends hypnosis. The combination of both would be even more powerful.

Are You Making Yourself Ill?

Although this may be hard for many people to believe, it appears that we create our own illnesses. In fact, Bruce Lipton talks about the “nocebo effect” which is similar to the placebo effect except that it is negative. The placebo effect makes one well by believing he or she will get well, whereas the nocebo effect makes one ill because of the negative belief that you will become ill.

The late Dolores Cannon (author and hypnotist) talked about how powerful our minds are, and stated that we make ourselves sick. We do not do it consciously, but we do it nevertheless. It results from our subconscious trying to get our attention, and it does so by various aches and pains. If we don’t pay attention to what the subconscious mind is trying to tell us, the symptoms will keep getting worse until either we do pay attention or we get quite ill.

Dolores cites many instances of how people make themselves ill. As an example, if one has a choice of going in a new direction but is resisting, she states that problems in the hips often result. Or if one cannot “stomach” their job, digestive or stomach problems can result. Sometimes people feel they are carrying a heavy load, and as a result, they have problems with their backs. Another example she cites involves people who are unwilling to forgive or have a lot of resentment toward someone else. She mentions a man who was very angry at his ex-wife because he was not able to see his children. He had cancer throughout his body. Dolores told him that he had to forgive her and let it go. He replied that if he were to forgive her, “she’d win.” Dolores answered, “If you die of cancer she’ll win.” Dolores strongly believed that due to his unwillingness to forgive and let it go, he actually brought on cancer.

The late Louise L. Hay also believed that illnesses often reflect things that are going on in our lives. In her book, You Can Heal Your Life, she lists a large number of problems and illnesses and the probable causes. A few examples follow: arthritis resulting from resentment or criticism or feeling unloved; cataracts due to an inability to see a future free of darkness; colon problems resulting from fear of letting go and holding on to the past; earaches resulting from too much turmoil around you; and eye problems resulting from displeasure in what you see in your own life. Louise Hay, like Dolores Cannon, also believed that cancer can result from deep hurt, longstanding resentment, carrying hatred, or grief eating away at the self.

One interesting point is that many times people go to the doctor and get a prescription to deal with the illness. While this is often helpful, the problem is that they are not getting to the real cause of the illness. For example, as to the man mentioned above who had cancer and would not forgive his ex-wife, when he was treated for cancer in one part of his body, cancer would show up in another part of his body. The treatment was not getting to the real cause of the problem.

The power of hypnosis is that we can get to the root of one’s problem by communicating with the subconscious. If the subconscious is creating the illness to get our attention, then the solution would be to find out what the subconscious is trying to tell us. Once we understand that, we can make the necessary changes and thus be able to heal the problem.

Why not take advantage of the many benefits hypnosis offers. Hypnosis is safe, relaxing and enjoyable, and it can resolve problems in a relatively short period of time, thus saving you both time and money. In addition, by finding out what the subconscious is trying to tell you, you can be spared more dire consequences.

There is a big difference in seeing a persons mental/physical health issue as who they are, verses as a small part of what is happening. Did they see you as whole person or a patient? One perspective pathologizes a person, identifies them as their problem and validates their perceived brokenness. The other perspective holds a vision of wholeness and invites a person into their True Self. Seeing someone with acceptance and vision... you heal others. The success of the words that are said or healing modality used, is dependent on consciousness it rests.

Your own body can feel if YOU are coming from fear or love.

For example, are you intending self love when you exercise or getting rid of your ‘horrible fat’? Pursue weight loss from self judgment and you may loose the weight but still feel fat. How you identify yourself is how you will feel. Identify as a whole person and you will most likely, treat yourself better without having to strain yourself, to take care of yourself.

brokenness adds an ‘unhealthy dose’ of stress hormones to your self-care. This is not productive. Self-acceptance is the foundation to lifelong change.

Loving your weakness and strengths, you move into real self-esteem. Your core block IS your core power. Just on the other side of your addictive pattern, or fear is a new understanding, creative idea, or insight to your divine nature.

Pain is a gift to wake you up to who you are, not a curse to plague you the rest of your life.

The beginning of each year is like a fresh new canvas waiting to be painted with our thoughts, emotions and actions. Each day is a blank canvas.

At this time, there is stillness and quietude in the ethers as this New Year arises. There is a feeling of possibility, of optimism, of hope and of expectancy. Perhaps this year will be better than the last. Perhaps our time will come; our true destiny will finally be revealed. This could be the year of our lifetime. The year stretches out before us, as yet untouched by our desires, our choices, our mistakes and our achievements. There is a feeling of purity about the New Year -- and a freshness of hours and minutes as yet untouched.

Let us determine this year to awaken more fully to a life that is richer and more filled with love than the life we have now. This awakening comes through realizing that we are not physical beings trying to find spirituality; we are spiritual beings inhabiting physical bodies. Spirituality is our true home; our destiny is not about materialistic pursuits but to awaken to our innate spirituality. This journey is known as the spiritual path.

In order to live more fully as the spiritual being we really are, let us begin by awakening every morning and remember that today is the day. It is the day when all that has passed before you is gone, and all your future dreams can be created anew.

It is the day when you can choose to cast aside any fears, anger or guilt. This is the most important day in all your many lifetimes, for it is now.

To live fully in the moment, to awaken to all life’s challenges and opportunities, free of prejudice and fear and filled with love is easier said than done. However, every journey starts with a single step, and it begins the moment we awaken from our slumbers each morning.

Increasing Prosperity Using Crystals

Life Hack Your New Year’s Resolutions

Due to the holidays, we may be watching our budget more than usual.

Often, we over-spend during the holidays in our excitement to express our appreciation for others. While setting our New Years attainments, it can be beneficial to include our prosperity as well as financial success. Often our belief systems hold the keys as to what thoughts are usually telling us we are not deserving or worthy, which blocks us from our flow of infinite prosperity. It’s like asking for money with your fists closed.

Using affirmations is very beneficial, enabling us to focus more of our attention and energy on what we want instead of what we don’t want. I personally find mantras and affirmations also very beneficial for quieting a loud ego.

You can chant a mantra to Lakshmi, goddess of prosperity, “Om Sri Maha Lakshmyai Namah.” Or, use a quick simple affirmation to help you stay focused, such as, “I AM happy and grateful for my permanently, continually increasing infinite universal prosperity and abundance flowing to me now in all ways.” Or, “All my needs are supplied for and abundantly met by the universe.”

There are a few stones great for helping us attract, and be open and receptive to our universal abundance and prosperity.

Aventurine brings clarity, helping us see what beliefs and thoughts blocking our flow of prosperity. Magnetite’s magnetic qualities make it a good stone for attracting anything -- be specific on your desires. Garnet awakens our inner knowing of our infinite prosperity, and also opens and energizes our base chakra. Ruby helps us follow our bliss and enhances our wealth and passion for life.

Placing magnetite, garnet or ruby under your feet can reenergize you by grounding you and bringing the earth’s energy up into your body.

Citrine transmits and amplifies our manifestations, sending them back enshrouded in blessings of golden light.

Jade instills gratitude for a long life and helps a business maintain its success.

You can construct a crystal prosperity array with any of the above-mentioned stones. If you want to attract money, use four pieces of magnetite, four pieces of citrine, with one garnet in the middle.

Place it undisturbed in the south-east corner of your home; this will balance and strengthen the prosperity area of your home and life.

You can hold a citrine or quartz crystal in your hand while visualizing and repeating your affirmation. Squeeze the crystal a few times to activate the energy. After doing this for 15 minutes, your crystal is now programmed and is sending out energy into the universe to aid you in attracting your infinite universal prosperity and abundance that you are so worthy and deserving of.

Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover

They reminded the principal, “He has an arrest record as long as your arm.

He’ll probably steal half the food.” Mr. Coggshall reminded them that the purpose of the ACE program was to uncover any positive passion that a student had and reinforce its practice until true change can take place. The teachers left the meeting shaking their heads in disgust, firmly convinced that failure was imminent.

By Jim Hullihan Some people are just doomed to be failures. That’s the way some adults look at troubled kids. Maybe you’ve heard the saying, “A bird with a broken wing will never fly as high.” I’m sure that T. J. Ware was made to feel this way almost every day in school.

By high school, T. J. was the most celebrated troublemaker in his town.

Teachers literally cringed when they saw his name posted on their classroom lists for the next semester. He wasn’t very talkative, didn’t answer questions and got into lots of fights. He had flunked almost every class by the time he entered his senior year, yet was being passed on each year to a higher grade level. Teachers didn’t want to have him again the following year. T. J. was moving on, but definitely not moving up.

I met T. J. for the first time at a weekend leadership retreat. All the students at school had been invited to sign up for ACE training, a program designed to have students become more involved in their communities. T. J. was one of 405 students who signed up.

When I showed up to lead their first retreat, the community leaders gave me this overview of the attending students: “We have a total spectrum represented today, from the student body president to T. J. Ware, the boy with the longest arrest record in the history of town.”

Somehow, I knew that I wasn’t the first to hear about T. J.’s darker side as the first words of introduction.

At the start of the retreat, T. J. was literally standing outside the circle of students, against the back wall, with that “go ahead, impress me” look on his face. He didn’t readily join the discussion groups, didn’t seem to have much to say.

But slowly, the interactive games drew him in.

Two weeks later, T. J. and his friends led a group of 70 students in a drive to collect food. They collected a school record: 2,854 cans of food in just two hours. It was enough to fill the empty shelves in two neighborhood centers, and the food took care of needy families in the area for 75 days.

The ice really melted when the groups started building a list of positive and negative things that had occurred at school that year. T. J. had some definite thoughts on those situations. The other students in T. J.’s group welcomed his comments. All of a sudden T. J. felt like a part of the group, and before long he was being treated like a leader. He was saying things that made a lot of sense, and everyone was listening. T. J. was a smart guy, and he had some great ideas.

The local newspaper covered the event with a full-page article the next day. That newspaper story was posted on the main bulletin board at school, where everyone could see it. T. J.’s picture was up there for doing something great, for leading a record-setting food drive. Every day he was reminded about what he did. He was being acknowledged as leadership material.

The next day, T. J. was very active in all the sessions. By the end of the retreat, he had joined the Homeless Project team. He knew something about poverty, hunger and hopelessness. The other students on the team were impressed with his passionate concern and ideas.

They elected T. J. co-chairman of the team. The student council president would be taking his instruction from T. J. Ware.

T. J. started showing up at school every day and answered questions from teachers for the first time. He led a second project, collecting 300 blankets and 1,000 pairs of shoes for the homeless shelter. The event he started now yields 9,000 cans of food in one day, taking care of 70 percent of the need for food for one year.

When T. J. showed up at school on Monday morning, he arrived to a firestorm. A group of teachers were protesting to the school principal about his being elected co-chairman. The very first communitywide service project was to be a giant food drive, organized by the Homeless Project team. These teachers couldn’t believe that the principal would allow this crucial beginning to a prestigious, three-year action plan to stay

T. J. reminds us that a bird with a broken wing only needs mending. But once it has healed, it can fly higher than the rest. T. J. got a job. He became productive. He is flying quite nicely these days.

The monastery was built in 1692, around a cave where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have meditated for three years, three months, three weeks, three days, and three hours. The legend is that Guru Padmasambhava flew there on the back of a pregnant Tigress, as a consort or companion.

Tibetan Buddhism and its sisters in northern India and Bhutan maintain vestiges of their ancient religion Bon, which was highly animistic, attributing soul to inanimate objects of nature and animals. Graphic images of these archetypal mythological animals were common, to depict themes and personal qualities.

The tiger is indigenous to Asia, and it is Asia ’s king of the jungle. Only other tigers or men are its enemies and equals. In various mythologies, the tiger represents the qualities of raw physical power, invincibility, and strategy in hunting its prey. The tiger is the ultimate predator, stalking its prey for days and laying patiently in waiting until it is opportune to strike.

The tiger, in its human incarnation, is the warrior archetype.

After arriving on the mountain, Guru Padmasambhava meditated in the cave, meditating and studying ancient texts.

sided dagger where one of each three sides represents the three poisons of Buddhism: anger, greed, ignorance. These afflictive emotions destroy the human spirit and tie mankind to the wheel of life in suffering. If the dagger is in the hands of the right man, it has the power to transform or control these afflictions.

The pregnant tiger symbolizes the anger and aggression with which all humans are pregnant, according to T. Sangay Wangchuk. The tiger in flight suggests that anger and aggression have no borders.

By riding the tiger, the Guru kept the harmful force of anger from breaking out into the world.

The climb to the Tiger’s Nest became my meditation on my inner tiger and my Guru. I ride the tiger often. My anger engulfs me. It is my primary reaction when things do not go my way -- from family and professional disappointments to traffic jams. I tame my tiger through the Guru’s teachings on compassion, love, and gratitude. I have come to learn that my tiger is never subdued, only temporarily stunned. He will bare his teeth and wave his claws soon again, and I will engage him in battle once more.

5 Steps to Setting Powerful Intentions

Intention is the starting point of every dream. It is the creative power that fulfills all of our needs, whether for money, relationships, spiritual awakening, or love.

Everything that happens in the universe begins with intention.

When I decide to buy a birthday present, wiggle my toes, or call a friend, it all starts with intention.

The sages of India observed thousands of years ago that our destiny is ultimately shaped by our deepest intentions and desires. The classic Vedic text known as the Upanishads declares, “You are what your deepest desire is. As your desire is, so is your intention. As your intention is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your deed. As your deed is, so is your destiny.”

An intention is a directed impulse of consciousness that contains the seed form of that which you aim to create. Like real seeds, intentions can’t grow if you hold on to them. Only when you release your intentions into the fertile depths of your consciousness can they grow and flourish. In my book The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, the Law of Intention and Desire lays out the five steps for harnessing the power of intention to create anything you desire.

1. Slip into the Gap Most of the time our mind is caught up in thoughts, emotions, and memories. Beyond this noisy internal dialogue is a state of pure awareness that is sometimes referred to as “the gap.”

One of the most effective tools we have for entering the gap is meditation. Meditation takes you beyond the ego-mind into the silence and stillness of pure consciousness. This is the ideal state in which to plant your seeds of intention.

2. Release Your Intentions and Desires Once you’re established in a state of restful awareness, release your intentions and desires. The best time to plant your intentions is during the period after meditation, while your awareness remains centered in the quiet field of all possibilities.

After you set an intention, let it go—simply stop thinking about it. Continue this process for a few minutes after your meditation period each day.

3. Remain Centered in a State of Restful Awareness Intention is much more powerful when it comes from a place of contentment than if it arises from a sense of lack or need.

Stay centered and refuse to be influenced by other people’s doubts or criticisms. Your higher self knows that everything is all right and will be all right, even without knowing the timing or the

Letting go of old habits or relationships takes lots of time and commitment, focus and consistency.

The good news about reflection is that it can be free to be able to choose what we want for our existence. To exercise this potential freedom by releasing, and, we must be willing to open up and remove the blocks by letting go.

You Are What You Eat!

It’s January! A time when many people sign-up for a gym membership, join a weight loss group and resolve to take on a healthier lifestyle. Even if you don’t actually do those things, most likely those thoughts are still at the forefront of your mind, as society places an emphasis on getting healthy at this time of year.

You’ve most likely heard the phrase, “You are what you eat”, and have thought about the obvious reference to your food choices. However, I’d like to take that thought to a deeper level. Yes, our state of physical health is directly linked to the quality of the food we eat, but there’s so much more that affects us beyond diet. Everything we are exposed to can influence our wellness on many different levels. And just like balancing your diet, it’s important to police other aspects of your life as well, to ensure a healthy state of well-being.

While you can’t eliminate all negative people and situations from life, there are always choices you can make that will directly influence the overall impact they have on you.

We are energetic beings -- physical bodies that are powered by an energy source. While food provides the building blocks for a strong and healthy physical body, the energy that animates us also

At this point, anxiety enters in and you can feel as if you’ve lost control. Ironically, it’s not that you’ve lost anything...you’re simply trying to manage things that are not yours to manage.

When our energy is lowered, due to all sorts of influences, it diminishes the vibration of the source that powers us, providing an avenue for illness and dis-ease to enter in. So, what are the negative influences that we should guard against and how can we move beyond them? For starters, it’s important to realize that we can find good and bad in everything.

Even a diamond, when magnified, has imperfections. The key to surrounding yourself with positivity isn’t simply about avoiding negative people and situations. It’s about being able to shift your perspective, on everything you encounter, and place your focus on the good. Children are great at this. While an adult tends to worry about the outcome of every situation, a child simply lives in the excitement and wonder of the moment -releasing the need to be burdened by the “what if’s” in life.

We can learn a lot from that example.

It’s so important to regularly remind ourselves to live consciously in the

Working with crystals is a powerful tool for manifesting your New Year’s resolutions and intentions.

By Deirdre Hade As a mystic, spiritual teacher and guide for over 30 years I am often asked, “What does it mean to set an intention?” and “Are there any tools I can use to succeed in reaching my desired intention?”

To answer these questions we first must understand what an intention is. What is the difference between setting an intention and simply having a desire?

An intention is an extremely focused thought that carries with it the manifesting energy of heart (heart’s desire). Powerfully focused energy is like a river of water. When water is harnessed and channeled in a specific direction, that water is very powerful. A powerful intention is like a river of flowing water. Simply put; focused energy manifests, unfocused energy does not.

You can say, “I desire to lose weight.”

However, it’s what you do – what action you take, that will determine whether or not your intention manifests. Setting an intention is the first step; acting on that intention is the second, more difficult step. The follow through is where we usually fall short, because, let’s face it, it’s just plain hard to re-set a lifelong pattern.

We often end up feeling frustrated and guilty for not succeeding. The truth is change takes time, commitment and practice- daily, moment by moment, contrary action to an old way of being.

When our lives are filled with stress, busyness, kids, and work, staying focused on a specific intention is daunting but not impossible.

I want to share with you some tools to succeed in achieving your intentions and your New Year’s resolutions.

Your Brain Power is Your Best Friend Your brain is an amazing powerhouse and your best friend for helping you with your intention as long as you guide its thinking patterns. Your brain is like a computer. For years and years, you have programmed your brain to do certain things. It has learned behaviors and emotional responses that you may not even be aware of. You can change those behaviors by thinking differently. You can actually update your programming to better suit who you are today and who you want to be in the future. However, you are going to need your heart to make this possible, because the heart is the generator of your creating energy.

So often we feel disconnected from our hearts and souls because we’re operating on autopilot; we’ve let our brain’s programming run the show. It’s time to reconnect to your heart this New Year in order to make your resolution work. Go within the quiet center, the flame of hope in the middle of your heart. This is where your soul’s purpose resides. This is where your mystical heart power infuses your intention with the miracle creative process. This is why you’re setting your intention, your resolution, your New Year’s conviction, because deep in your heart you know this is an important change you need to

This is how it works. Your brain uses the world around it to inform you of your programming and patterns. Introduce a new object, such as a crystal, when you set your intention, and it informs your brain of your newly made resolution.

Your brain and your heart react to the sight and feel of your crystal, associate it with the intention or resolution you set, and immediately begin to send out crystal energized thought patterns to fully activate the Law of Attraction.

Look around you. What do the objects in your surrounding mean to you? Do they bring you joy, make you feel good?

They might make you feel successful, accomplished, or loved, or they might bring up old programming that you want to change. Your Intention Crystal is an object that reminds you that you are a spiritual being. As a spiritual being, you can adapt, grow, change and create.

Create A Ritual And Transform the Old Into A New Beginning.

Creating a ritual around setting your intention is fun and a powerful, energetic tool for succeeding in your intention.

Your heart and brain love rituals! As a matter of fact, all habits are your brain/ heart’s way of attempting to ritualize something. You are literally rewiring your

brain to manifest your intention every time you see or touch your Intention Crystal.

Steps to activate your Intention Crystal: 1) Set your Intention. Make your resolution. In a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of life, sit, take a few breaths, get centered, and then speak your intention. You can say it out loud or in your head.

2) Activate your Intention Crystal. Hold your Intention Crystal in your hands as you say your intention/ resolution out loud.

3) Ask for Divine Guidance and Support. Say, “Divine Presence (God, Source, Angels, whatever you choose), affirm that my Intention Crystal will help me anchor this intention. When I see or touch my Intention Crystal, it will remind me of my commitment and assist me in my success, for you have filled me and my Intention Crystal with your powerful, miraculous light.” Your Intention Crystal has taken in the Power of Creation to Help you on Your Journey of Transforming.

4) Listen to Deep Guidance and Wisdom. With your Intention Crystal still in your hands, intention set, sit with it for a while and listen. You’re likely to hear 2 or 3 things from your soul’s purpose about what steps need to be taken to achieve your goal, such as, “Call this person, join that gym…”. Put your activated Intention Crystal in a special place. Write your intention down on a note, along with this affirmation, “I am worthy to receive the power of my intention, and I affirm my intention of _____ ­­­ (a healthy body, or whatever your intention is) as fully manifesting today. When you use this tool, when you operate like this, magical things start to happen. You are operating from your soul’s purpose of personal power.

5) Give Thanks. Say out loud, “I give thanks to the Spiritual Creator for blessing my life and my intention.” How

do you know which crystal is best for your Intention Crystal? Choose a crystal that speaks to you, the one that draws you to it. You actually can’t make a wrong decision in this. Use a crystal you already have in your collection or find a new one. Either way is perfect. Here are some suggestions for you. The important thing is that you make this ritual yours with meaning and that you have fun. Fun unleashes creative energy. Good luck!

Unearthing Our Health

There is an air of silence that fills this time of year. The hustle and bustle of the holidays are over and we are tucked warmly away in our homes. It’s a time of contemplation, going within.

And generally, because it’s the New Year, we have the opportunity to release what no longer serves us, and bring in the new. When we do this, we set the energy in motion to rediscover our power, our potential. The way we fuel our body to have that energy is through food.

Since Michigan winters are often cold and harsh, we crave those hearty, warming foods. They ground us, stabilizes us and we receive that extra layer of warmth our body needs. Root vegetables and winter squashes deliver that sustenance in a healthful way. Not only are they nutrient rich -- containing vitamins A and C, magnesium, potassium, and dietary fiber -- they are generally lower in calories, gentler on our digestive system, and help maintain healthy eyes and skin. They are great at replacing grains and wheat while still giving us that full feeling that comes from a complex carbohydrate.

Root vegetables and winter squashes contain antioxidants which help fight cancer, protect brain function and reduce inflammation within the body. The fiber contained within these vegetables is efficient enough to help lower our cholesterol and therefore contribute to heart health. It is always best to choose a colorful variety, from carrots and yams to beets, parsnips, butternut and acorn squash. And don’t knock the “lowly” potato.

It contains about 20 percent of our daily potassium and magnesium, which is important for bone and nerve health.

When we release certain habits, the things that bind us, we move into this sense of freedom. And from there, lies the potential to create, create something that is more in alignment with ourselves. We don’t have to conquer the world in one day, especially when it comes to food, but we can give ourselves the gift of clean, healthy eating.

1/2 pound Carrots, diced 2 c. Mushrooms, sliced 2 ea. Parsnips, diced 2 ea. medium Sweet Potato, diced 2 c. Butternut Squash, diced 1/2 head of Cauliflower 2 ea. Apples, chopped 1 T. Rosemary, chopped Salt and pepper Directions: Preheat oven to 400°. On a sheet pan, place cauliflower and drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Roast in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Meanwhile, in large sauté pan or Dutch oven, render bacon. Remove, drain the fat into a container and set bacon aside. Heat 2 tablespoons of bacon fat (or olive oil if omitting bacon) in the sauté pan. Add mushrooms and sear for 2-3 minutes, or until the moisture is released. Add onion, carrot, parsnips, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and apples one at a time, sautéing a few minutes in between each addition. Allow to cook on the stove or put into the oven until the vegetables are cooked through. Toss in cauliflower and season with rosemary, salt, and pepper to taste. We don’t have to conquer the world in one day, especially when it comes to food, but we can give ourselves the gift of clean, healthy eating one meal at a time.

Each Moment is a New Beginning

Every moment is a new beginning.

We all make choices each and every moment of our lives, so each moment is a new beginning for the rest of your life.

Be willing, right now, to take inventory of where and what your choices have brought to you this year. Are you happy with the life you’ve created? If not, by changing your thoughts, you can change your life. If yes, continue to monitor your thoughts and actions to keep on the path you are happy with.

You are blessed that every moment you get the opportunity to create your life with each breath, each thought, and action you take. Why not create the life you want? Create a life where you are the best person you can be, being connected and living through Source, moment by moment, step by step. Take each experience as an opportunity for taking that pause, considering who you want to be in that moment -- where do you want your path to go, and what choices can get you there. What thoughts and actions can get you there? Create the energy and thoughts, actions, for the life you dream of.

Becoming aware of your thoughts is a new beginning to your new life. By changing your thoughts and the actions which follow, you have the potential to bring into your life, new experiences.

Begin by monitoring your thoughts and

feelings; really pay attention to them and acknowledge your feelings toward everything you say throughout the day.

It’s only when you really choose to become aware of your inner talk that you can begin to change it. Write down your inner talk, your thoughts. Ask yourself if your inner talk is what you really want to be telling yourself. Then choose what positive talk you would really like to be saying to yourself.

If you say to yourself, I never accomplish my goals, why bother making any? You could choose to replace it with something like I can take the steps to accomplish my goals. You can also ‘reality test’ your inner talk. Ask yourself, “Do I NEVER accomplish my goals?

Then, find where the negative statement is not true. In this case, I’m sure you’ve had a goal before of driving to work, and you did. Small example, yet powerfully illustrates that you do accomplish some goals.

You will find that your inner talk will become much more affirming. You get

You get to really know who you are and what you want on your path to accomplishing self-actualization.

Now is the time to let go of old programs and thoughts and create new programs and thoughts that will help you fulfill the potential for greatness that you have. Remember, you are part of Source.

You have the greatness of Source within you. All you have to do is connect with it, be in the present moment, have right thinking as guided by Source, and follow through to have your new beginning for the life you want. Then repeat and repeat... and repeat while you create the life you desire.

Attract the people to you who will be positively supportive. Get the career that makes your heart sing. Every experience is another opportunity to learn, grow, and choose your thoughts and actions so that you can create the life you not only want but that you deserve.

Each moment is filled with the potential and opportunity to be your best and highest self and create the life you dream of. Let this moment be your new beginning for the life you desire. Live this new moment as it is your new beginning.

Happy New Year of New Creation it’s time to live with passion

Hello, my friends, Hope everyone is loving and enjoying the exercises and awakening we’ve been doing this past year and especially the amazing growth that comes with them. I’m running into more and more of you letting me know how valuable these exercises are for you and I am honored to be able to help you all on your paths. It’s very exciting to hear your growth so please make sure to share your experience with me and others.

Hope your holidays were the greatest and most joyous you have ever experienced. Let’s start the New Year off with a focus on a passion to fuel all you are here to do. It takes passion to propel us to move forward so we will also focus on moving forward. . We can continue with a similar process that we have with a new focus. We will work inward so focus inward as we have in earlier exercises on the flame at the base of the heart chakra. As we did in those exercises, let’s begin with expanding that flame outward until it fills the room.

Now also focus on a red flame just below your belly button.

Expand them both out and focus on the red reaching out in front of you as a stairway into the universe. Lean forward slightly with your head, place your tongue to the roof of your mouth and take three deep breathes.

State with conviction to the universe that you are a creator...

Focus on the warmth within your heart and just below your belly button expanding even further out... now focus on the back of the heart chakra opening up and the back of the flame just below your belly button blasting a flame outward and let your system connect.

While focusing on fire start with this chant, Ujhnowayvaazh Now meditate for 11 minutes, set a timer.

Focus on air and begin again with this chant, Jheeaayaha Now meditate again for 11 minutes.

Don’t worry about a perfect pronunciation just feel the sounds of each letter.

Focus on water and begin again with this chant, kaakuzhvaydha Now meditate again for 11 minutes.

Focus on Earth and begin again with this chant, Manuahtuhayumm Now meditate again for 11 minutes and focus entirely on your true path.

Switch this up every day, one day do them all together, the

next day split each part up at different times of the day. Do the first when you wake in the morning, second midday and third before bedtime. Switch it up as many different ways as you can come up with. Let your self feel the expansion and connection.

Ayahuasca Ceremony Weekend Trip in 2019 NEW BEGINNINGS: Feeling depressed? Lost? Confused? Have you ever been curious about wanting to know more about this life and why you are here? I believe I can assist you in finding these things out, and more! “ Let’s bypass the mundane conscious mind to explore the richness of that which is beyond the veil of this reality “ In the past one had to fly to Peru and head into the jungle to take part in these potential life-changing ceremonies. Not any longer! I am happy to announce that I will be taking a group of those who are beginning to wake up and ask deep intriguing questions. The good news is we do not have to fly, but drive, only 6 1/2 hours to Berea, Kentucky. I have already been there and found this place not only to be credible— but knowledgeable, respectful and clean. I am looking forward to going back. This will be one of many scheduled trips that I will be leading into 2019 and beyond. This may be your calling. We will be participating in two ayahuasca journeys; Friday evening and Saturday evening before heading home Sunday afternoon.

The gentleman that will be there for guidance and to navigate our group, as well as myself, is Demian Gover. To say we are in good hands is an understatement.

Demian is a “ medicine man “ ordained by Oklevueha Native American Church and an ordained minister of the International Metaphysical Ministry, and is the chief minister of ONAC of the Peaceful Mountain Way; established in September of 2015 with over five hundred people as participants in their ceremonies thus far.
