STUDENT FOR A SEMESTER CALLING ALL AMBITIOUS YEAR 11 AND 12 STUDENTS FROM BRISBANE, GOLD COAST AND NORTHERN NSW Do you have what it takes to become a Bondy while you’re still in high school? As a Student for a Semester you’ll have a unique opportunity to launch your tertiary studies at Bond ahead of time. Challenge yourself to achieve all that’s possible and gain a huge advantage for your future. You’ll be rewarded with an unforgettable experience, a global network of friends and the chance to gain credit towards your university studies. You’ll enrol in a Bond subject, get your own Student ID card and attend a weekly lecture and tutorial. Mix and mingle with other Bondies, learn from our leading academics and get involved in university life. Use our libraries, Sports Centre and computer labs, and dine in the on-campus cafes and restaurants.

WHY JOIN THE PROGRAM? As a participant of the Student for a Semester program, you will receive the following benefits: • Your very own Student for a Semester mentor - a current Bondy, who you can call upon any time throughout the semester. • An exclusive invitation to a career counselling session, hosted by the Bond University Career Development Centre. • Full use of all University facilities including the Sports Centre, libraries and Multimedia Learning Centre. • Access to all support services such as Student Learning Support, Student Counselling Services and Faculty teaching staff. • An extended census date for withdrawal from the program without any financial or academic penalty. • A celebration of participation in the program at a Student for a Semester Awards Ceremony. • Students who successfully pass their subject may be eligible to use the credit towards their Bond University undergraduate degree*.

SUBJECT OPTIONS Student for a Semester subjects cover a range of topics from law, accounting, through to advertising and screenwriting. You can view a full list of subjects available in January, May and September 2020 on the following page. Subjects and class times change each semester but many subjects offer after school tutorials, and early applicants will be given priority to these. Speak to your school first if you want to study a subject that falls within school hours. The full list of subjects and class times are available at bond.edu.au/sfs prior to each semester.

COSTS Our Student for a Semester subjects are offered at the exclusive rate of $250 per subject. Students may also need to purchase text books and other course materials.

APPLYING We accept applications in each of our three semesters: January, May and September. Applicants must be in the top 30% of their year level and have the support of their school to participate. Your school’s Career Advisor will be asked to verify this during the application process. Students are allowed to complete a maximum of one subject as part of this program at the exclusive reduced Student for a Semester subject cost. Direct subject credit will depend upon your chosen degree program and may not be applied toward the Bachelor of Design in Architecture or the Bond Medical Program, due to the structure of these programs. Please check with Bond University prior to enrolment. *
