Are you in rebellion against God’s word?
Brendan Mc Crossan
Rebellion means to rebel against something, to rise up against something, just like we see in the middle east at this moment of writing this 16th September 2012, people have rebelled against their leaders and kings because they are treated as lower class citizens, who have no human rights and are kept in poverty and live under unjust authority; so they have risen up against their rulers. They are justified, but are we when we rebel against God when he says to do something. To be in rebellion does not mean that you have to take up arms or be violent in your behaviour, but rebellion in your heart is a quiet thing that no one sees, it is not doing the things God told you, which are rebellion and idolatry.
1 Samuel 15:23 (New International Version, ©2011) 23 for rebellion is like the sin of divination, {witchcraft} and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”
If God says love your neighbour and you refuse because he or she is a Catholic or protestant; or because they are a different colour or culture, or religion from you then you are in rebellion and you are practicing the sin of witchcraft, and Idolatry because God did say those words to all his children.
Are you in rebellion against God’s word?
When God says to do something either through direct commands or through his Holy Spirit, or through the prophetic gifting and you don’t do it then the simple fact is you are in rebellion against God; you refuse to change or do as he said, and that is rebellion. And that is as the sin of witchcraft to God. You might not agree with that definition but that is what the word of God is telling you, like it or not.
Romans 13:8- King James Version Owe no man anything, but to “love one another:” for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9For this, Thou shall not commit adultery, Thou shall not kill, Thou shall not steal, Thou shall not bear false witness, Thou shall not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, “Thou shall love thy neighbour” as thyself.
People are unaware that they are in rebellion against God when they don’t do as God tells them. To defy God is to rebel against what he told you to do, you won’t do it, and it’s as simple as that; that is rebelling, refusing to do what you are told. What is rebellion what does it mean? What is its exact meaning? In the following scripture we can see what the real identity of rebellion is, as far as God is concerned.
----------------------------One
Brendan Mc Crossan 17-03-2011.
To refuse to forgive is to rebel against the wishes of Almighty God and if you think that doesn’t matter, - how wrong you are. Look at what happens to those who refused to forgive others; “they” were thrown in jail, “they” were shown the same mercy they showed to the person who offended them, this is a very serious scripture. Two Rebellion, means to revolt, mutiny, revolution, disorder.
Don’t argue with me about it argue with God about it and see who wins the argument. Are you trying to say that I am practicing witchcraft by refusing to forgive someone who done terrible things to me? The answer to that is “yes!” it was God who told you to forgive.
Rebellion is a harsh thing, it is resisting the love of God for others, God forgave you every foul thing you ever done and he expects the same attitude from you also, he died for you, but he died for them also, the ones that hurt you, he loves both of you equal, no matter how bad their offence was against you. Your offences against him were equally as bad as the other persons towards you.
To refuse to do any of the above is to be in rebellion, it is to be in disobedience, and defying the will of God and his commands. It is pouring contempt of the word that God gave you, by refusing to obey these commandments. Remember these commandments were not a request from God, they were a direct order and if you don’t believe that, read you own bible, and you will see for yourself that you are in disobedience when you refuse to love one another, and loving also means forgiving one another, this is meant for everyone Christian and non Christian, God gave this command to everyone, refusing, is defiance, and defiance is rebellion, and idolatry and rebellion means you are practicing witchcraft believe that or believe it not.
Matthew-18-32-
Scripture says if you do not forgive ‘you’ will not be forgiven, and it will be you ‘not’ the person you won’t forgive, that is going to spend time in the torture chamber. You may say I don’t believe that, and I don’t accept that either and I don’t care either, you may be saying; well that is rebellion and rebellion is like the evil of witchcraft, and your arrogance is the same as idolatry.
Then his master called him and said to him, you contemptible and wicked attendant! I forgave and cancelled all that [great] debt of yours because you begged me to. 33And should you not have had pity and mercy on your fellow attendant, as I had pity and mercy on you? 34And in wrath his master turned him over to the torturers (the jailers), till he should pay all that he owed. 35So also my heavenly Father will deal with every one of you if you do not freely forgive your brother from your heart his offenses.
When Jesus said to all Christians, ‘go into the world and proclaim the gospel,’ would you consider it rebellion if they didn’t do as they were told or would you just say they were simply disobedient, or they were unable to tell people about Jesus. You can make up whatever excuse you like but the simple fact is they don’t obey, they do not do as they were told to do.
Remember that Jesus did not request his disciples or the future believer to go and proclaim the gospel and to heal the sick, he ‘told’ ‘them to do it,’ he promised them power through his
32
That is a command from Jesus himself that very few Christians think that they have to obey, they leave it up to the visiting preachers or teachers or healer who come and pass through, or to their pastor or priest to do that, ‘that’s their job not mine’ they say to themselves. But hold on a moment here: God also gave you supernatural gifts and abilities to do this simple task for him if you have received the baptism in the Holy Spirit; and then he promised he would be there to help you.
Fear is not from God so never act on it.
Holy Spirit for the ability to do it; they were to just go and do it. All of us have to tell at least one other person about Jesus and salvation, that was an order given by Jesus, you are to go into the entire world and preach the gospel. Not everyone is called to be a preacher, or not everyone can heal the sick or work miracles, you may be saying, no these things may not be the ministry that God called them into, but he told ‘every Christian’ to go preach the gospel and to heal the sick and deliver them from demons. He told ‘every Christian’ they are to go into the world, where they live and tell their kids, their mothers, fathers, sisters, brother’s friends and relatives and anyone else that will listen, or even don’t want to listen to the good news that Jesus took their sins away and promised them eternal life in heaven with him.
Three
Some people have the ministry of the gift of healing; a supernatural anointing that is on them in particular for healing the sick, others are to just obey the command to lay hands on the sick and heal them because of the command of Jesus, to preach the gospel, there is a difference between the two. Everyone is to tell people about Jesus even if it is just to say what a difference he has made in your life, preaching is telling, that is all it is, and they are to lay hands on the sick also if possible.
And the lord went with them and confirmed what they said by the miracles that followed their message.
When the Holy Spirit who is our guide and instructor tells us to do something and we don’t do it, ‘we are in effect in rebellion,’ you can’t get away from it you are in simple rebellion, you won’t obey God. Obey means to do, to disobey mean you won’t do it, and so you are in rebellion.
In your church, or prayer meeting, when you get a message from the Holy Spirit to do this or that, or say this or that, a particular message from God, do you obey the word from God or do you hold back for fear that it won’t be accepted or you will be ridiculed by others? If you wouldn’t speak out that message then you were in disobedience to God, and don’t say, “I wouldn’t be able to speak,” yes you could, because if God gave you a word then he will give you the power to speak it out once you go to open your mouth. If you don’t speak out God’s message, you are in disobedience, and remember this, the word disobedience means this; defiance, wickedness, insubordination, naughtiness, and disobedient means, rebellious. If you don’t obey God then you are disobedient, rebellious you are in rebellion.
Mark 16-15—30- The Way Bible
When God tells me something and I believe and know it is from God I either say it, or do what I have been told, no matter what the consequences are for me. I have seen myself do what the Holy Spirit told me and witnessed people come against what I was told to do even though at times they saw for themselves the awesome miracles that God was doing through me because I obeyed the Holy Spirit. If I had not obeyed the Holy Spirit then the Holy Spirits power to heal or work miracles would not be there, he would never in a million years bolster up my disobedience. God does not honour someone in disobedience, {rebellion,} his word in fact says “he opposes the rebellious and uplifts the humble,” {the humble being those who obeyed him, humble is submitting to God}
1 Samuel 15:23 (New International Version, ©2011) 23 for rebellion is like the sin of divination, {witchcraft} and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, he has rejected you as king.”
The word of God is not always acceptable to people especially Christian leaders because it challenges them, and they will even ask you to leave, or force you out, when you try and obey the word God gives you. Four There are many ways that you can be in subconscious rebellion. Talking about your pastor / priest ridiculing him is a form of rebellion, because God says to listen to your pastor support him, don’t listen to accusations against him, unless two or three more witness are there to support you. In fact when God said in his word do not criticize or condemn anyone, are you in rebellion against that word of God? You were told don’t do it and did you still you go ahead and do it, maybe again and again and again, well you are in rebellion and that is the same as the sin of witchcraft, and witchcraft is one of the devils tools! Rebellion is simply refusing to obey God and God is not afraid of punishing those who are in constant revolt against him. You will be paid in kind for what you do.
a form of rebellion, complaining is the same as grumbling, and scripture says Godhatescomplaining.Allyoulittlecomplainersarerockingyourseatrightnowaren’tyou?
Deuteronomy 1-26-But you were unwilling to go up; you rebelled against the command of the LORD your God. 27 You grumbled in your tents and said, “The LORD hates us; so he brought us out of Egypt to deliver us into the hands of the Amorites to destroy us. {NIV GrumblingBible}is
God rejected the king because he was in rebellion; he rejected the word of God. Are you in danger of being rejected removed from your position because of hardness of heart, a refusing to be obedient to God’s word? The word of God is alive and active and that means what he said to the king yesterday is still in effect in you today, if you do not obey his command he will reject you also given time.
Repentance changes things and repentance is needed in the churches today, repentance, for refusing to loveoneanother, for criticising oneanother, for notobeying theword ofprophecy, to change, to be different, and to do things God’s way not their way. Repentance, because the churches don’t ask God what do you want us to do in ‘every circumstance’ repentance; because they don’t change when given an order by God to change the way they do things, years later they’re still doing the same old, same old things.
God is alive and his word is alive, so when we get a message from the word of God that message is for today if it is in the New Testament, not always so the old; the old Testament was the old way of doing things, the New Testament is the ‘new will of God’ who is alive and active in the ‘New Testament.’
I only share a small portion of the word of God that we are called into obedience to, there are lots of scripture that tells us how to live a true Christian life and if we refuse to listen or to change, then we are in rebellion against God himself. The bible is the living word of God, it is not a dead book or just a book, it is a book that Satan is terrified of, he is terrified that you learn to obey it and learn to love it with all your heart, because you are loving God through it with all your heart, and drawing ever closer to him through its pages. The bible is a letter from Daddy God to us his children giving us instructions for living a truly great and marvellous life through his letter. It is also a will and testament, it is the New Testament the “New Will” of God and Jesus died so that new will could come into effect for you and me.
I ministered in a house of healing and I got a message one night that the lord was calling for change. I didn’t speak very well and I upset folks and I spoke confused, saying things I never intended to speak, and it was not well received to say the least.
This is a new era that we are living in, a time of a shaking in the world, a time of a new move of God’s Holy Spirit upon the earth and for us to be moving in this new move of God we need to be in obedience to his word, either in prophecy or the written word of God. The last thing the Christian needs to be doing is being defiant or disobedient, God is calling us into greater humility a time for us to be in total obedience to his word; to subject ourselves to him in Tohumbleness.refuseis to sin the sin of rebellion and arrogance, and arrogance is like the evil of idolatry. Idolatry means worshipping false God’s.
Ezekiel-2-6-And you, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words; though briers and thorns are all around you and you dwell and sit among scorpions, be not afraid of their words nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.
7And you shall speak my words to them whether they will hear or refuse to hear, for they are most rebellious.
8As for you, son of man, hear what I say to you; be not rebellious like that rebellious house; open your mouth and eat what I give you. (Amplified Bible)
But someone involved there with me told me that the lord had given that same message to them for approximately ten years and there was no change made, and shortly after that he told me that the house of healing was a church service with an emphasis on healing at the end. I had received a message when I was asked to join this healing centre. The message was that the place had to ‘close down as a church,’ and re open as a healing centre; It was never closed down as a church by those involved, they still operated it like a church in their hearts and mind and it was treated like a Sunday church service but with healing at the end, and not a healing service as directed by the lord.
A Story about Two Sons
As I said the night I gave that message to change, I blew it I got confused, there was a spirit of witchcraft in the building, allowed in by a woman’s defiance in the church that night; and I let it get to me and I spoke roughly attacking instead of lovingly saying, ‘everyone involved needs to listen to the message from the lord and change our thinking and attitudes’ The end result was I felt that I had to leave, but was asked ‘not to go by the former pastor of the church,’ but I left this place after seeking the lord’s perfect will for me and he told me to leave; even though in my heart I loved it and seen the potential for this place as a place of healing for a desperate country. But there would be no unity between me and the others involved as I wanted to change and sad to say they told me it was staying as a church with an emphasis at the end on healing, and I realised this later on as rebellion, a refusal to change the way of doing things mans ways, and begin doing things “God’s ways,” and when I read the above scripture I thought immediately of this house of healing and the rebellion that is taking place unwittingly and my heart feels so sad.
Jesus said: I will tell you a story about a man who had two sons. Then you can tell me what you think. The father went to the older son and said, “Go work in the vineyard today!” 29 His son told him that he would not do it, but later he changed his mind and went. 30 The man then told his younger son to go work in the vineyard. The boy said he would, but he didn’t go. 31 Which one of the sons obeyed his father?
And the spirit that entered the place that night through this woman’s defiance was a spirit of Whenwitchcraft.God calls on me to change I don’t like it, but I ask what have I to change and then with his grace I try my best to change whatever it is I need to change; I don’t always succeed but I don’t give up either, I keep trying and asking for more grace to help me and I pray for my formerfriendsinthishouseofhealingthattheywillseethatwhenGodsayschangehemeans it and expects it and if no change comes then it is considered rebellion by God, rebellion against his prophetic word. Five Which son obeyed him?
Matthew 21-28-Contemporary English Version (CEV)
In my country, protestant Christians and Catholic Christians hate one another, they have lived with hatred in their hearts for hundreds of years passing it down from one generation to the next; their hatred of each other is intense they will even kill their hatred is so deep. And it is still happening today in our churches. Some have offensive sectarian marches in the name of protestant Christianity; ‘for God and for Ulster,’ and some Catholic groups are the same, marching for a ‘free Ireland,’ offensive to the protestant community for whom Jesus died for both. And God said don’t do anything that would cause an offence against a brother Christian and they are steeped in disobedience and wonder why there are no manifestations of God’s power, healing and miracles. And of course wonder why they don’t ever seem to get answers to prayer, especially when God said, ‘pray for your enemies,’ and that is not in their mentality at all. That was not a request that God made that was a commandment, “love your enemies, pray for those who hurt you, in this way you will be acting as true children of God.” But lord we don’t like that commandment not here in Northern Ireland; this can apply to any country divided by religion.
But of course good Christian children of God would never be in rebellion, would they? It is the children, who are in rebellion in most cultures these days and for many a long time, and with God’s children it is no different, if they won’t obey him, {do as their told} then they are in rebellion, it is a simple as that, then they wonder why their prayers are not answered.
“The older one,” the chief priests and leaders answered. Christians do not think of disobedience as rebellion, they think that to be in rebellion is to go to extremes against something, No! To rebel is to disobey. Disobey means = {Opposition to, or in defiance of authority, accepted moral codes, or social conventions} it does not mean you go to war against someone you just refuse to obey those in authority. Are there areas in your life where you are in rebellion disobeying Gods instructions? ‘Love your neighbour as yourself;’ ‘you must be joking lord,’ no he is not joking, he is deadly serious, because he loves us with a passion, a deep forgiving love overlooking our many faults, so when he says, “love your neighbour,” he expects you to obey him or else you are in disobedience and what does ‘disobedience’ mean again, ‘to rebel,’ for rebellion is like the sin of divination, {witchcraft} and arrogance like the evil of idolatry.
ButMatthew-5:44Itellyou,love
your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, Jesusprobably didn’tmean thataboutusCatholicChristians, oraboutusProtestantChristians, we probably are exempt; he didn’t realise what they done to us, we are justified in hating them; “No you are “NOT” justified,” you, like everyone else in his Christian family, what ever your denomination is are told to ‘love one another, and pray for those who persecute you;’ where is the special disposition you got from God for that? I don’t see that disposition in the word of God. You are in disobedience and in rebellion against the direct word of God,
Don’t be under an illusion that Jesus would forgive you your hatred of another child of his that he personally died for.
1-Peter-2-24.The Way Bible-He personally carried the load of our sins in his own body when he died on that cross, so that we could live a good life from now on. For his wounds have healed ours! Was that just the Protestants that he died for or just the Catholics or the Pentecostals or Methodists, or what ever Christian religion you belong to? No! He died for all, thereby making us children of God to all who accepted him as lord and saviour. You’re fighting with your own brothers and sisters’ hating them is the same as hating Jesus, we are all part of his body. Don’t use the excuse that you didn’t know the Protestants were your brothers and sisters through Christ, everyone who reads a Bible knows that we are united through the cross of Jesus and he reconciled the different sides together; so to hate and hold unforgiveness is a direct rebellion against God’s command to love one another.
Six
As for Catholics and Protestants in my country, who both claim to be believers in Christ Jesus and have him as their God, and hate one another, you’re in witchcraft and in Idolatry.
Both groups are living in witchcraft and Idolatry; they have put a country before their God and that is idolatry; and these so called Christian groups have hearts filled with hatred and are disobeying the word of God to love one another, and disobedience is rebellion the sin of witchcraft. But they are so spiritually blind they can’t even see that, they forget that God’s word says, ‘if you have something against your brother then leave your gift at the altar and go and be reconciled,’ and they would never do that, do you think this is disobedience to the word of God? I believe that is total disobedience and is the spirit of witchcraft working in them.
I went to a church for four years, and I watched a particular man who used to stand at the door greeting the congregation as they entered the church; I watched him when I approached the church in my car, and he would leave the front door and go inside the church and stand talking to people inside until I walked past him as he turned his head the other way as to avoid greeting me; he then went back outside to greet the other people coming in. He was a protestant man and I am a Catholic by birth, but Christian by rebirth. At first I thought it was just co-incidence, then I realised as weeks passed this kept happening, and I knew then he was not wishing to greet me. I had been going to this church for over four years, and in all this time
In fact to hate anyone for whom Christ died is to have rebellion in your heart; even to hold hatred against a Muslim or Hindu or another religion is wrong, you were told to love one another and he didn’t say we were to just love the Catholics or the Protestants or the Muslims or Hindu or other religions he said to love one another, in this way you will be showing to others that“you”personally areachild of theliving God. To refuseto do so is to havethespirit of witchcraft in you and the spirit of Idolatry also in you.
you are living with a spirit of witchcraft and Idolatry, and you will pay the price of that sin, that is also unforgiveness, and remember the man who would not forgive, and what happened to him, he was the one threw into the torture chamber and left there till he paid his debt.
Matthew 18 King James Version (KJV) 33 Should not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee? 34 And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay
God said to, ‘love one another as I have loved you;’ did this man obey that word of God? No he did not, does this man realise that he is in rebellion against the word of God? I doubt it, but he is nevertheless in rebellion against God’s word, to love one another. But we never think that by not loving each other we are in rebellion and involved in the sin of witchcraft, disobedience is rebellion against God. But the Christian is never taught that, they think they don’t need to love one another, they push it away from their minds, and can be the most distant and coldest people in church.
who said you must forgive one another? It was God through Jesus, who is himself God. If he said it you are supposed to do it, to refuse to do it is rebellion, witchcraft, and there is no way that you can go around that fact. Refusing to obey God and what he clearly said, is to be in disobedience, it is to rebel against him, it is witchcraft as far as God is concerned, and you wonder why there are very few signs and wonders in the Christian churches.
Christians are not taught in church that if you don’t obey the commands of God you are in rebellion, and are committing the sin of witchcraft. Some of them don’t even think that holding bitterness against someone is wrong; it’s like it never penetrates their mind.
If you think that I exaggerate what I am saying, then think about this, what do you think will happen to those in rebellion? Those people that God’s word says are committing the sin of Thewitchcraft.sameGod says, that if you hold unforgiveness against someone for whom he died; you are the one going to the torture chamber, not them, but you.
Is it no wonder that many, many people reject Christianity, they can sense that some people are not genuine, and can see it in their actions and attitude. To refuse to forgive or to love someone is to be in rebellion, no matter which way you try and justify yourself, God is not Whoconvinced.wasit
he never spoke to me, except when I spoke to him. Then we were both asked to help the worship team, with a young man in charge of the worship, and then he had to speak to me at times, but I sensed it wasn’t true friendship. Then the lord told me to offer to teach him the Bass guitar so he could play an instrument as well as sing, so I bought him one and gave it to him for his birthday and began teaching him. Then I left the church under the lords direction and I texted him a message that I had left the church but would continue to teach him the guitar if he so wished; he never even replied to my texts and I sent him a few, not just one, trying to be friends with him. He never answered even one of the text messages I sent him. Do you think this was Christianity, do you think this man was acting like a child of God, I had prayed with this man for healing one night at the pastors direction and the lord healed him. I tried all I could to be friendly with him and I know I tried.
all that was due unto him.35 So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.
1-Peter-4-8-The Way-Bible Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love makes up for many of your faults. Amen.
Come on use common sense here God takes unforgiveness very serious, he will throw you into the torture chamber to be tormented by tormentors, if you will not forgive the ones who wronged you. Did you notice that he forgave you the very large debt that you owed him, and he expects you to do likewise?
To refuse to obey is to be disobedient, to be disobedient is to be in rebellion and to be in rebellion is the same to God as the sin of witchcraft.
Christians are you in rebellion? Are you refusing to do the things Jesus specifically told you to do? Do you love your neighbour as yourself?
Stop making excuses God is not convinced by your excuses, you have no excuse saying I didn’t know, ‘you now know.’
