Bouvet-Ladubay Crémant de Loire Rosé On the occasion of the Salon des Vins de Loire 2013, BouvetLadubay welcomed 200 guests to its annual « soiree » for an evening of poetic reverie in the heart of their ancient and historic cellars and a chance to taste some wines. The « Compagnie Demoiselles », a group of acrobats and circus artists, put on a spectacular
show for the guests in the unique surroundings of Bouvet-Ladubay’s sculptured cellars and in the 19th century Grand Hall with its riveted framework in the style of Eiffel. This dinner was also the launch of the new cuvee Bouvet Crémant de Loire Excellence Rosé, thereby completing the Brut de Loire range for Bouvet-Ladubay.

Despite the general lack of enthusiasm given the current climate, I only want this year and the number « 13 » to be surrounded by bubbles and synonymous with good fortune. For some years now, we have noted an increased recognition for our Bruts de Loire, born from a greater opening of the mind and the palate that did not exist before. At last, tasting and comparison are overcoming preconceived perceptions and what is written on label. This new situation has contributed to the downfall of some of the most well known sparkling wines. It is now the « taste » that confirms a truly a great wine and the level that our wines have achieved. It also enables the discovery of our less well known wines, not only for their value, but because it showed that credibility can be given for such quality wines, that are so well priced. The biggest opportunity that I see with the number « 13 » of this year is that in reality, the crisis that we are seeing, has a positive effect on our House, on our Brand and on the Loire
Valley in general. There are many reasons for our growing recognition. There is the seductive taste of Bouvet-Ladubay. This coupled with over 460 awards for our wines over the last 40 years. Then there is the very rare balance of Pleasure & Price attached to our wines. Finally the image we portray is essential to your also very own high standards. It is often said that behind every wine, there is a story. This may be the case, but the story still has to be of interest. As far as we are concerned, our story is a long history. A history of our country, of the Loire Valley and that of a great entrepreneur, Etienne Bouvet. It’s with the passion and fruit of this history that we have sculpted our IMAGE over the past 40 years.
