It shows a great care for landscape, although most of this policy is now abandoned 3. Green hart vs. Blue hart The planning area is situated where the two meet 4. Connection between East Atlantic Flyway and Green Spine (ecological valued landscapes of lower peatlands) 5. Location and introduction of circulair routes 'loops'. Not one connection, but the coherence of routes determines the quality and accesibility of the hinterland 6. Shipping highway and Park Nieuwe Diep: New park route through the core of the Park Nieuwe Diep: The slow parklandscapes of the city makes a nice contrast with the fast shipping channel.

Diemer Park Circuit: Great open spaces in city for large urban programmes. 20. Park entrances: New entrances of the Park Nieuwe Diep to seduce people to go into the parklandscape. 21. Urban enclaves: New urban enclaves makes a gradient in density in city edges. By making clear and strong boundaries it bring an nice scale to the landscape. 22. The urban fringe with suburban activity (industries) are converted to urban enclaves in the landscape. The boundaries are clearly appointed. The edge of the urban enclaves are attractive for recreational purposes, planted with trees, which adds a greater value towards it’s surroundings. 23. Diemer Park Circuit: In between spaces are turned in to urban lagoons. 24. Dike boulevard: Former seadike turned into a atmospheric boulevard with great ecological potention 25. Parkconnector and shipping Highway: Spectaculair bridge for pedestrians and cyclists, with a great lookout because it's high construction.
