A Letter from the Executive Director Happy summer! I want to begin by personally thanking you for your patience during the COVID-19 shut down. We’re grateful for all the doctors, nurses, first responders, police and firefighters in Bolingbrook that have been on the front lines keeping our community safe and healthy. This has been an interesting time for everyone, including Bolingbrook Park District. We were sorry to have to cancel so many events that we know our community has grown to love over the years. On the flipside, we were grateful to continue work on the renovation project at the Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex. If you visit www.bolingbrookparks.org/referendum, you will see updates on where we’re at on the progress and some renderings of what things will look like, including the five new playgrounds to be built. Needless to say, we’re all very excited for you to get out and see all the fun things coming to Bolingbrook. Our hope is that during the summer, you are able to enjoy our slate of “Recreation @ Home” Programs where you can learn a new skill, socialize and have a discussion with people with similar interests, take part in trivia, or check out our curbside recreation offerings. Fun is something we can all get behind and we hope you utilize all of what we offer here at the park district, including all of our beautiful open spaces. We can’t wait to get back to celebrating our 50th anniversary with all of you!
Sincerely,
Ron Oestreich, Executive Director 1

Youth & Teen Dance Keep in mind: While the dance department offers classes by session, students should take a class for at least one year or more, until the requirements of the next level have been mastered. Participating in a class for just a session or two may not be a sufficient length of time to adequately prepare the student for the next level of training. Please also keep in mind, while ages have been provided in the brochure’s description of classes to assist in the registration process they do not supersede the recommendation of the teacher. Please stay in a level until the teacher recommends advancement. *Do not hesitate to request feedback or evaluation from your teacher. bolingbrookparks.org

Three Unique Sites... One Common Goal... Create a Learner for Life. The Bolingbrook Park District preschool programs, offered for children ages 2 ½ to 5 years of age, focus on educating children in a way that makes learning fun. Experienced teachers create a warm, positive educational environment that fosters a child’s natural creativity and curiosity. Children are engaged in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that are aligned with state preschool learning standards. We communicate with kindergarten program administrators in the area to ensure that our curriculum prepares our students for success in elementary school.

This is separate from preschool tuition. Preschool tuition can be made in two ways: Paid in full all at the time of registration or done through our automated ACH which deducts the monthly amount from a checking account each month August 10-April 10 of the school year. • After you’ve completed your registration forms, you will receive an email from ePact to fill out the remaining emergency forms. The email that is entered into our Rec Trac system is the email that ePact will use to send the registration link. Registration is not complete until the ePact forms are completed. Notes: There is a $100 sibling discount for families with multiple children enrolled. The preschool program start dates are Monday, August 31 or Tuesday, September 1 depending on your child’s scheduled day of class. This value of giving back is incorporated into the curriculum of our recreational programs including preschool, dance, and gymnastics. Our facilities also host various charity partnered promotions to encourage our members and patrons to give back to those in need. We welcome all of our marketing partners to help us give back through creative and fun partnerships. EVENT OPPORTUNITIES: Winterfest, Week of the Young Child, Parkie’s Pool Party, Parkie’s, 5K/10, Fall Fest, or our summer concert series. Panther Sports Club is the ONLY B.A.C. (Bolingbrook Athletic Council) sanctioned organization devoted entirely to providing GIRLS with sporting opportunities. Panthers have served the Bolingbrook community for close to 50 years by providing organized volleyball, softball and basketball throughout the year. We accomplish this by teaching fundamentals and sportsmanship in an atmosphere of healthy competition and safety. Each of our sports offers in-house recreational play as well as more competitive program options.
BYBL Spring Baseball: Online registration begins January 2020 for the spring 2020 season which will begin early April. More information can be found at www.bybl.org. Also check your email! If your child has played for BYBL in the past two years, you will receive email updates as it relates to registration and other important dates. Give your favorite baseball player the most thrilling and authentic baseball experience available and help prepare them for moving on to more challenging and competitive play. The Bolingbrook Youth Baseball League (BYBL) is the local youth league that delivers. All BYBL home games are played at either Indian Boundary Park or Wipfler Park. Indian Boundary Park provides big game thrills thanks to: • Grass infields • Lighted fields (enabling night games) • Raised mounds • Electronic scoreboards BYBL has several divisions for your child to play in and offers programs for ages 9-28. The Mustang Division (ages 9 -10) have minimal travel to nearby communities, with most games being played in Bolingbrook. The Bronco and Pony Divisions (ages 1114) incorporate some travel to nearby communities. Colt, Palomino & Collegiate divisions (ages 15-28) play in the SWILA League (www.swilabaseball.com), a competitive league for High School and Collegiate Players. These leagues are made up of high school and college students who have a passion for baseball and wish to continue playing at a competitive level. BYBL Rampage Travel Baseball BYBL is proud to announce that the spring 2020 season will be the 12th season for Rampage Baseball, our full-time travel baseball program. Any questions regarding our travel program should be direction to Joe Joos at rampage@bybl.org.
