Thank you, Bolingbrook, for the warm welcome I have received since my arrival in May. It has been an honor to serve as Executive Director of the Bolingbrook Park District. It has been a summer to remember witnessing amazing memories created in our programs, events, facilities, parks and trails!
I must admit something (no offense to summer), I get super excited for the arrival of fall. It is by far my favorite season as summer heat begins to dissipate and the leaves transform into a variety of beautiful colors. I savor every moment of being outdoors before the chill of winter fills the air.
The Bolingbrook Park District is proud to present a full variety of fun opportunities for individuals to develop new interests as well as enhance their physical and mental well-being this fall. Warning: the park district does not have everything for everyone; however, it does have something fun for everyone!
There is something for you at the park district if you like everything from…
• Preschool to senior outings.
• Miles of trails, variety of playgrounds, athletic fields/courts and picnic shelters to golf course & aquatic, fitness and community centers.
• Aquatics, dance, gymnastics and martial arts for all age groups to combo gymnastics & martial arts + obstacles—Ninjas.
• Walking/running in a fun community setting, with your dog—Howl-O-ween 5k to Parkie’s 5k—without your dog.
• Free family events—Fall Fest, Family Obstacle Challenge, Celebration of Special Recreation, Freaky Fun Friday, Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt to free fitness events—Dog Sensory Hike, Hot Cider Stroll and the Thanksgiving Turkey Burner.
If these opportunities do not pique your interest, there are literally hundreds of additional programs to choose from. Explore the brochure and jump into something that can add life to your years and years to your life.
Yours in recreation!

The Bolingbrook Park District preschool programs, offered for children ages 2 ½ to 5 years of age, focus on educating children in a way that makes learning fun. Experienced teachers create a warm, positive educational environment that fosters a child’s natural creativity and curiosity. Children are engaged in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that are aligned with state preschool learning standards. We communicate with kindergarten program administrators in the area to ensure that our curriculum prepares our students for success in elementary school.

Our program focuses on teamwork, effort, energy, and measuring success through personal improvement and completion of goals. Our passionate and energetic instructors will provide affordable, highquality instruction to give your dancer the best experience possible.
The Powerdance Program is in place to offer a fun and safe environment for school-age kids to be introduced to dance with their friends. It takes place right after school and at select schools to make it easier for kids to participate. Some students may want to progress into the more technical aspects of dance and choose to take other Dance Academy classes. Other students may simply want to enjoy a fun and engaging opportunity to dance with their friends. In the end, everyone gets the opportunity to enjoy dance.
Adult classes are geared toward those ages 18 years and older. We offer a variety of participation options from drop-in classes to multi-week class sessions. Classes are offered all year, so you’ll always have the opportunity to come dance. Bring a friend or come by yourself. We accept all dancers no matter the level of experience.

To schedule your private dance lesson, call Lindsey Pollina, Dance Program Manager, at (630) 783-6639 or email lpollina@bolingbrookparks.org.
Keep in mind: While the dance department offers classes by session, students should take a class for at least one year or more, until the requirements of the next level have been mastered. Participating in a class for just a session or two may not be a sufficient length of time to adequately prepare the student for the next level of training. While ages have been provided in the brochure’s description of classes they do not supersede the recommendation of the teacher. Please stay in a level until the teacher recommends advancement. *Do not hesitate to request feedback or evaluation from your teacher.
