809:1998+A1 2009 Pumps and Pump units for Liquid – Common Safety Requirements

Settled within CEN/TC 197/WG 7

Comparison nearly finished between the existing EN 809 and the Draft Regulation (April 2021)

A proposal for a draft standard will be prepared by the Secretariat and Chair

In the meantime CEN/TC 197 will switch the status from PNWI to NWI - and by this start the official standards process

2. TERMINOLOGY – Committee CEN TC 197

3. TESTING – Committee CEN TC 197 WG1

3/2 pr EN17038 Part 3 Testing & Calculation of Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) of Multiple Pump units (Booster sets)

3/3 pr EN17038 Part 4 Testing & Calculation of Energy Efficiency Index (EEI) of Multiple stage submersible Pump units (Borehole)

4. CEN TC197 New work proposal

Working group has been formed and a meeting has already taken place.

This will now be delayed awaiting new standard from IEC which will be a mixture of ISO 9906 & IEC 60034-2-1 & 2-3, estimate 3 year delay. Still in draft for comment.
