Dear Colleague, Over the past 20 years, Leaseweb has grown into an international cloud hosting company. In honor of our 20th anniversary year, we realized that it was the perfect moment to look at our history, present, and future, and think deeply about who we are. Our goal was to give voice to the Leaseweb brand and the core values of the company. Coding is a big part of what we do to help our customers succeed. So, we coded our own DNA into concrete values and behaviors. That is what this booklet is about: our promise to each other and our customers. I hope you enjoy reading this booklet, and living it. Welcome to the Leaseweb team!

Our Story Our company started in the clouds. 20 years ago while still working as professional pilots, our Dutch founders understood the importance of reliability and global connections. They crossed borders. They safely brought passengers, crew, and craft around the world. Witnessing the growth of the internet around the world, our founders envisioned how they could use their skills and experience to build the internet as a service, making it accessible and available to everyone. Today, that same vision remains part of our DNA. We have always aimed to go beyond expectations. Growing from a startup to a global player is just the beginning. We have the drive, experience, and ambition to go faster and further, while never forgetting the importance of trust and reliability. We are proud of who we are and excited about the future.

Use Common Sense


The golden rule always applies. We treat our customers and colleagues the same way we want to be treated ourselves.

Common Sense (n) a gut feeling based on years of knowledge and professional experience that guides how we work and how we treat each other and our customers.

Transparency builds trust. We are open and honest in everything we do.

Everything starts with our customers. This interaction guides everything we do from how we work today, to where we want to go in the future.

Difference should be celebrated. We don’t only respect each other’s differences and cultural backgrounds we learn from them.

Facts are primary. Our team is composed of experts with years of experience. This allows us to base our decisions on facts, not assumptions.

Trust one another


The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. When we bring together our knowledge and skills and as a team, we create success for everyone.

Stand behind your work. As professionals, we believe in our work and take responsibility for our actions and decisions.

Golden retrievers have nothing on us. We show loyalty and dedication towards each other and always act with integrity. A common goal. We understand, believe in, and support the purpose and vision of the company.

No forked tongues. Trust is essential to common goals, so we are careful not to speak or act in ways that are unkind or harmful to our colleagues.

Invest in the future. We believe in the value of continuing education, and are always willing to invest in our team.

Stay ahead of the curve. The industry changes quickly, so we aim to be always be out in front exploring new ideas and technologies.

Learning (n) the act of having an open mind, and continually seeking to expand your skills and knowledge.

Always moving forward. Good enough is never good enough, that is why we are always looking for new ways to improve ourselves and the company.

No one is an island. We share ideas, suggestions, new perspectives, and solutions on an ongoing basis to encourage open dialogue and learn from each other.

Every day is Earth day. Even small changes can make a big impact, so we actively seek out new ways to implement environmentally friendly measures at work.

Real equality. We believe in a world without prejudice, hate, racism, or sexism.

Pride in who we are. Our team is diverse, creative, fun, and successful, making it’s easy to be proud to be part of it.

Social animals. We organize events, games, competitions, and activities with colleagues and customers.

Friends not coworkers. We enjoy each other’s company and spend time together at social events both inside and outside the office.
