Ezra
Arcadian
In a post-apocalyptic world where civilization has completely collapsed, Paul (Cage) and his two sons, Thomas (Jenkins) and Joseph (Martell), eke out a living on an abandoned farm. Nocturnal creatures stalk the countryside, hunting humans for sustenance. While Joseph is the more innovative and intellectual of
the sons, Thomas is more rebellious. One evening, after failing to return home, Paul ventures out to locate Thomas. The two barely survive an encounter with one of the creatures, and with Paul seriously injured, the boys must utilize the skills their father taught them in order to keep themselves alive.

Donald Trump says he’s close to announcing his running mate and has reportedly narrowed it down to three people. It was four, but O.J. [Simpson] died.
According to [the] TSA, last Sunday [June 23] set the
record for the most travelers ever screened in a single day, and there was chaos at the airports as you can imagine. All around the country, passengers were even more unhinged than the doors on a Boeing 737.
There are reports that if Trump gets re-elected, Melania might not live in the White House with him. Apparently, Melania hated her time in Washington, but she still might come to D.C. for state dinners and
official events. ... I actually have a little empathy for Melania. I mean [when] she entered into this marriage, she had a certain expectation. And that expectation was that the average life expectancy for an American male is 76.3 years old.
Tom Hanks is reuniting with director Robert Zemeckis for their fifth film together. Zemeckis directed Hanks in “Forest Gump,” which I believe is the only movie about Vietnam to be turned into a chain of whimsical shrimp restaurants.

“Find Me Falling” (2024)
Dive into some sweet serenades and summer romance in Netflix’s new romcom “Find Me Falling” when it premieres Friday, July 19. The film stars multi-talented musician and actor Harry Connick Jr. (“Hope Floats,” 1998) as John Allman, an aging rock star who, in the face of a flop album and the dwindling popularity of his biggest hit, has lost his spark. Deciding to take a break from his career to get back to himself, John takes up residence on Cyprus, an idyllic island in the Mediterranean. But, “his dream of keeping a low profile is derailed when he is routinely confronted by desperate souls and later faced with even more complicated surprises when an old flame reignites” (per Netflix). From director and writer Stelana Kliris (“Committed,” 2014), “Find Me Falling” also stars Agni Scott (“Absentia”), Ali Fumiko Whitney (“The Road Dance,” 2021), Aggeliki Filippidou (“Vals me 12 Theous”), Lea Maleni (“Didyma Feggaria”), Athina Roditou (“To navagio”), Clarence Smith (“Royal Shakespeare Company: Hamlet,” 2016) and new talent Tony Demetriou.
“Too Hot to Handle” - Season 6
The summer heat is about to crank up another notch. Netflix’s steamy summer series “Too Hot to Handle” is returning to the streamer for its sixth season on Friday, July 19. Last summer, 10 singles thought they were heading out on a lavish retreat on a yacht in the Caribbean for a new dating show called “Love Overboard.” Instead, they were hit with an unexpected rule — to keep the total $200,000 grand prize intact, self-professed vapid and relationship-averse contestants have to avoid any kind of sexual contact and learn to value self-love and relationships over surface-level flings. This season, a brand-new group of contestants are back in the luxury villa, where they’ll have to decide if keeping their hands to themselves is worth the money. The bigger the infraction, the bigger the fine, and this season features a new prize fund and a whole bunch of new twists. Under the watchful eye of the show’s virtual assistant, Lana — who is coming in with a naughty new sidekick this season — contestants can’t get away with anything. So, who will be strong enough to make it to the end?
“My Spy The Eternal City” (2024) Back for more wild adventures, the sequel to the 2020 action-comedy “My Spy,” titled “My Spy The Eternal City,” premieres Thursday, July 18, on Prime Video. After being brought together by circumstance in the first movie, JJ (Dave Bautista, “Dune: Part 2,” 2024) and Sophie (Chloe Coleman, “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” 2023) are back and ready to take on a new city. Heading to Italy for a high school trip, the veteran CIA operative and his teenage protégé and step-daughter find that their work never truly stops. While enjoying all the sights and the food that the country has to offer, the duo soon stumble into a nefarious nuclear plot targeting the Vatican. Directed by Peter Segal (“Heels”), “My Spy The Eternal City” features a story and screenplay by Segal, alongside Erich Hoeber and Jon Hoeber, both of the RED and The Meg movie franchises. Kristen Schaal (“What We Do in the Shadows”), Flula Borg (“The Suicide Squad,” 2021), Craig Robinson (“Killing It”), Billy Barratt (“Invasion”), Taeho K (“The Disappearance of Mrs. Wu,” 2021), Anna Faris (“Mom”) and Ken Jeong (“I Can See Your Voice”) also star.
“Uninterrupted’s Top Class Tennis” - Season 1 Uninterrupted returns to Prime Video with its latest docuseries, “Top Class Tennis,” when the series premieres on the streamer Thursday, July 18. Providing audiences with an all-access look into the demanding and high-stakes world of junior tennis, the series follows a group of elite teenage athletes who are all striving to make it to the big leagues. Throughout the series’ inaugural four-episode run, cameras follow rising young stars, including “five-time junior title winner Ariana Anazagasty-Pursoo, 2023 Indian Wells junior champion Joseph Oyebog Jr., 2022-23 USA Today girls tennis player of the year Stephanie Yakoff, and threetime junior national champion Stiles Brockett,” as they “make their way to the Orange Bowl, a competition that could make or break their careers as tennis pros” (per Prime Video).
“Angels in the Outfield” (1994)
Directed by William Dear (“Harry and the Hendersons,” 1987), the heart-warming 1994 film, “Angels in the Outfield” will be made available to stream on Disney+ Monday, July 15. Based off a 1951 story written by Richard Conlin — later adapted into the 1951 iteration of the film — “Angels in the Outfield” follows a young boy named Roger (Joseph Gordon-Levitt, “Inception,” 2010), who puts his faith into the California Angels, a struggling baseball team that he often sneaks in to watch play. After Roger prays for God to help the Angels win, he begins to see angels assisting players of the team through games, with the team’s sudden improvement leading their skeptical manager to keep Roger around as a good luck charm. Packed with an all-star cast, “Angels in the Outfield” also stars Danny Glover (“Lethal Weapon,” 1987), Brenda Fricker (“My Left Foot,” 1989), Tony Danza (“Who’s the Boss?”), Christopher Lloyd (“Back to the Future,” 1985), Ben Johnson (“The Wild Bunch,” 1969), Jay O. Sanders (“The Day After Tomorrow,” 2004), Milton Davis Jr. (“Mad City,” 1997), Tim Conlon (“Ocean’s Thirteen,” 2007), Stoney Jackson (“The Fan,” 1996), Adrien Brody (“The Pianist,” 2002) and Matthew McConaughey (“Interstellar,” 2014).
“America’s Funniest Home Videos” – Seasons 27-29
Whether you snicker, chuckle, chortle or laugh, prepare to have your funny bone tickled, as Seasons 27, 28 and 29 of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” are coming to Disney+ this Wednesday, July 17. Now hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro (“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”) — though previously hosted by Bob Saget (“Full House”) and Tom Bergeron (“Hollywood Squares”) — this clipsharing show started in 1989, allowing amateur videographers to send in their wackiest, most ridiculous and most hilarious home movies for crowds to laugh along with, potentially earning them life-changing prizes. Throughout these newly added seasons, Ribeiro and his audience watch some hilarious clips, including a teen recovering from dental surgery who thinks her nurse is Hillary Clinton, a snapping turtle determined to steal a dog’s ball, a grandmother experiencing virtual reality and some kids flummoxed by payphones — not to mention, in the Season 29 finale, one lucky winner receives a trip to Aulani, a Disney resort spa in Ko Olina, Hawaii, in celebration of their top-notch filmmaking.
“Marvel’s Hit-Monkey” - Season 2 Hit the road for another wild adventure when Season 2 of the adult animated series “Hit Monkey” premieres Monday, July 15, on Hulu. Based on the Marvel comic book character of the same name, the series voice stars Fred Tatasciore (“He-Man and the Masters of the Universe”) as Hit-Monkey, a unique Japanese snow monkey on a mission of vengeance. With the ghost of former American assassin Bryce (Jason Sudeikis, “Ted Lasso”) mentoring him along the way, the first season saw Hit-Monkey — and his bag of guns — take Tokyo’s crime underworld by murderous storm. Now, Season 2 finds the deadly duo in New York City, with Bryce attempting to make amends for wrongs he committed during his life, while Monkey finds a way to escape his life of killing. Created and executive produced by Josh Gordon and Will Speck, the duo responsible for comedy hits including “Blades of Glory” (2007), “The Switch” (2010) and “Office Christmas Party” (2016), the new season of this offbeat super-assassin series welcomes Cristin Milioti (“The Venture Bros.”) and Leslie Jones (“Our Flag Means Death”) to the voice cast as Iris and Eunice, respectively.
“How I Caught My Killer” - Season 2 Through the digital footprint they leave behind, the dead bring justice to those that ended their life in an all-new season of “How I Caught My Killer,” premiering Thursday, July 18, on Hulu. Through 10 gripping episodes, the second season of this true crime docuseries highlights a new set of unique homicide cases where the actions of victims before their death lead to the capture of their killers. Through in-depth interviews, archival footage and cinematic recreations, viewers get a curated look at these complex cases and come faceto face with an awful truth about the American justice system: that it’s “blind to many underserved and invisible communities that make up a disproportionate percentage of the people who lose their lives to homicide every year” (per Hulu). This Hulu original is executively produced by Brad Bernstein (“ATL: The Untold Story of Atlanta’s Rise in the Rap Game,” 2014), Chip Rives (“If You Build It: 30 Years of Field of Dreams”), David Karabinas (“Friday Night Tykes”), Evan Goldstein (“Ancient Aliens”), Greg Spring (“Betrayed”), Ivy Brown (“I Went Undercover”) and Rick Cikowski (“Far Out Isn’t Far Enough: The Tomi Ungerer Story,” 2012).
