all brings a crispness to the air in Nisswa. It is a perfect time to take a scenic drive or a walk down the Paul Bunyan Trail as the leaves begin to change. The kids go back to school, and the streets are filled with couples enjoying a romantic getaway or a group of friends in town for a relaxing weekend. September brings our annual Fall Festival & Smokin’ Hot BBQ Challenge, where competitors take a stab at smoking their very best ribs! There’s still great golfing, fishing and boating to enjoy in the fall.

inter comes, snow falls, and Nisswa is transformed into a scene straight out of a holiday movie. The day after Thanksgiving, Nisswa is lit up for the City of Lights celebration. Lights twinkle up and down the street, holiday shopping is in full swing, and folks sip hot chocolate while taking in the sights. A fantastic fireworks show lights up the night to kick off the holiday season! Things are in full swing at Mount Ski Gull as skiers, snowboarders and tubers make their way down the hill. The area is full of snowmobilers enjoying the hundreds of miles of trails the lakes area has to offer. Lakes become small cities as ice fishermen bring out their fish houses and try their luck at catching the big one!
