Brakes Scotland have always supported young people who grow and prosper in the food industry. This year as part of the year of young people we have interviewed a range of young chefs including the hospitality industry trust scholars who receive a craft scholarship as well as added value supplier visits. We have interviewed the finalsits of the Young Chef of the Year awards held by Catering in Scotland and the winning college, City of Glasgow College who won the Brakes Scotland Student Chef Challenge. We also look at our own customer base and will be interviewing some young chefs under the age of 27 years old. All in all, its safe to say there are definitely some #scotfoodgoals in there and chefs are a key component to the tourism industry. #savethechef #tourism #YOYP2018
