WHEN IS THE BEST TIME
TO VISIT TOKYO?

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT TOKYO? The seasons in Tokyo are very distinct. Often, the best time to visit is spring or autumn when the temperatures are pleasant, the chance of rain is low, and the humidity is low too.
SPRING The months of March to May are a great time to visit Tokyo. The weather is pleasant with only a little rain and lots of sunshine. Cherry blossom season is also during spring, with the peak viewing time being at the end of March or the beginning of April. If you aren’t eager to see the blossoms, avoid this time as Tokyo will be busier.
SUMMER Japan can be very hot in the summer, with temperatures regularly as high as 104°F. June also sees the heaviest rain for most of Japan. Despite the high humidity levels and heat, summer is the peak season, so it is also the busiest time to visit.
AUTUMN After typhoon season ends in September, the weather in Tokyo is pleasant until the beginning of December. Humidity levels are low and temperatures are warm. Fall foliage is popular, so hotel prices might increase from the middle of November to early December.
WINTER Winter temperatures rarely dip below 32°F, and the weather is usually crisp and clear with minimal snow.
