2021 TIPS FOR EMPLOYERS In 2020, remote working became the preferred choice of many. With no clear finish line in sight for COVID-19, it has become a reality for many heading into 2021. Many employees have adapted to working this way, with some even preferring to continue doing so even after restrictions are lifted. For employers, the following tips offer insight into what to expect in the new year.

BENEFITS PAC K AG E S MUST ADAPT When employees transitioned to remote work models in early 2020, many companies provided benefits to help their staff transition - from helping set up home offices, to allowing flexible working hours. In 2021, companies looking to retain talent must adapt their benefits packages to reflect their employees’ needs.

GET USED TO FLEXIBLE WORKING One of the biggest fear employees have is that they will lose the flexible working model they have become used to during the pandemic. Working from home has proved good for productivity, not to mention helping individuals cut costs. Employers will have to consider hybrid working arrangements in 2021 if they have not already done so.

Despite the economic difficulties businesses face, many workers still expect competitive salary packages, pay increases and bonuses.
