L.O.C.K. – Labels of Common Kin constitutes itself as the unique platform where we all exchange our passion for product, elaborate, and share our knowledge. In the very right hangar of Tempelhof, we proudly showcase the true collaboration within heritage inspired culture: adequate buyers, press, and a vast collection of old & new authentic contemporary labels. This season, we can proudly announce that there are more than 30 new exhibitors at

L.O.C.K. & Fire Dept. from all over the world. The L.O.C.K. community has been growing and tuning its own characters for many years, yet the main objective remains the same: Creativity meets a unique selling point that only L.O.C.K. can offer. The well-selected L.O.C.K. brands are presented here in their common uniqueness of attitude and soul. It is our exercise and purpose to capture, accentuate and channel these spirits and pass them on to our visitors
from around the globe, while continuously pushing the boundaries of our diversity. The recent movement of Japanese and Korean labels at L.O.C.K. is the definite indication of the growing international significance of our platform. For those for whom the product comes first, we have once again focused the L.O.C.K. Book to become a garment telling reference: Each label of common kin presents the iconic piece of its collection, thereby showcasing how the

3sixteen ------------------The patch: Our patches are made for us by our good friends at Tanner Goods, a leather goods company based in Portland, OR. We use heavyweight natural tan english bridle leather that will age richly over time alongside the jeans: as the denim lightens, the patch darkens.
The denim: We work with Okayamabased Kuroki Mills to produce our own custom fabric that is exclusive to us. It is a 100 % Zimbabwe cotton 14.5 oz raw selvedge denim (7 x 6) with pure indigo dyed warp yarns.

Use double leather sole, which is a feature of the ace boot.

AG Adriano Goldschmied ------------------A patch is composed with a dark denim underlayer and vertical, indigo blue stitching. This old- fashioned repair detail is updated, creating a tonal look that is softened by a cloud-like silhouette.
Refitted busted out seam stitching is an ode to the clean look of selvage denim. Navy threading contrasts bright blue, ultra soft Japanese Supima denim, resulting in a polished cuff that pops.

Aigle ------------------Essential product of the wardrobe, a revisited hunting jacket in cotton canvas. Stamped with authenticity with its numerous pockets and its corduroy collar, it recalls the brand heritage. The Huntingjack jacket is made in a very resistant cotton canvas fabric. It features also details from workwear garment: chambray lined inner cuffs, topstitching. An authentic signature for this hunting jacket: the corduroy collar providing warmth and comfort, as well as the back neck loop, a historic detail used to hang game and equipment.

Alexander Leathers ------------------Dakota scalloped pocket flap, featuring keyhole button and applied using an original Reece 101 button hole machine, together with a hand sewn British made horn button.
The Dakota has a two piece back that is separated by a false half belt, true to the original on which it’s based. Also featuring side strap and buckle waist adjusters.

Armor Lux ------------------The original Breton striped shirt consists of 21 white stripes representing the 21 victories of Napoleon sailors used stripes because they were easier to spot in the sea if a sailor went overboard.
Jersey has a natural tendency to twist back. Our knitting is being done based on an S and a Z spun yarn that are spun together and thus lock each other - that‘s why our shirts keep shape for years!

Atelier 145 ------------------Detailed hand carving decorates the front and back of the wallet. The edge is hand stitched using a thick waxed thread.
The inside of the wallet is made with natural veg tan leather and features horizontal sliding card holders. The coin pocket is closed with a vintage brass zip.

Barbour International ------------------The Logo: The logo in its distinctive lozenge, symbolises the Barbour International™ brand. Jackets, knitwear, shirts and trousers all with biker fashion appeal take this iconic logo.
The Label: Celebrating Barbour’s motorcycling heritage. The International Suit introduced in 1936, became the suit of choice for motorcyclists including actor Steve McQueen and the US team in 1964.

Blauer ------------------The police jacket is the Blauer historical jacket that represents the original jacket of the American police. The loop reminds of the badge holders on the uniforms of American police.
The cuff could be turned on the external part on which a refractive fabric is applied that guarantees visibility and security also during the night.

Blue de Gênes ------------------Like all other style names in the Blue de Gênes collection the Luigi Jeans has an Italian name. It is a regular to slightly slim fitted jeans with many classical features.
The Luigi Hiker Jeans in the photo is made in a special cotton and linen fabric from a small family run factory in the Veneto area in Italy. This fabric is developed in co-operation with Blue de Gênes.

Bowery ------------------The brand Bowery aims to reflect the style created in the neighbourhood of Bowery street (NY) with a collection of vintage-washed, predirtied t-shirts and sweatshirts with their over-dyed effects.
Graphics have been inspired by objects, shop signs, and icons that have helped turn ‚The Bowery‘ into the birthplace of a new, distinctive style.

Brooks Brothers ------------------At a polo match in England, John E. Brooks noticed something peculiar about the player’s collars: they were buttoned down to prevent their flapping in the wind. John brought his discovery back to Brooks Brothers, and thus was born the Button-Down shirt, a Brooks classic „the most imitated item in fashion history“.
There are only four to six small pleates between the sleeve and the wristband. Brooks Brothers shirts have only small discreet pleates but these are an unmistakable symbol of the Brooks Brothers „sect“.

Buttero ------------------The signature stitch bar is our expression of craftsmanship and is visible across the entire collection. The functional use is to hold the toe cap and the body panels firmly together.
Our embossed logo has a distinct position on the product. Depending on the shoe it will be positioned on the upper left, or on the upper right hand corner of each product.

Care Label ------------------The jacron paper patch: is covered by a ribbed paper layer. The paper comes away after prolonged wear or a few machine washes thus revealing the three-layer jacron label with the Care label mark.
Selvage Line: distinctive feature of the brand, the Line personalizes the right back pocket and the fifth pocket. The word ‘Line’ also stands for a line of thought and conduct, the European Denim Line.

Carhartt Work in Progress ------------------Reshaping the outstanding Carhartt legacy, the Spring / Summer 2014 Collection includes Carhartt WIP footwear for the first time and sunglasses produced in collaboration with RETROSUPERFUTURE .

Fred Perry ------------------The Laurel Wreath - a historic symbol of sporting excellence makes the perfect emblem to represent Fred Perry, a man who rose from humble beginnings to conquer Wimbledon three times.
In the late 1950s, the brand began receiving requests for bespoke tipping colours to be added to the white pique shirt, marking Fred Perry‘s unique transition from sportswear to streetwear.

Frye ------------------Hand stitched “Stars and Stripes”. Artisanally crafted from genuine USA leather, this is a literal nod to our American heritage. Antiqued and stained by hand to show the richness of the material, these boots were made to be on a pedestal.
“The Engineer”. The Engineer Boot has been hand crafted in the United States for decades. Antique brass buckle and belt tie together this classic boot. The double F heat embossed logo on the outer heel is the signature of this iconic style.

Gant Rugger ------------------In 1927 Bernard Gant started the Gant family business in New Haven, Connecticut. The company manufactured shirts on a subcontractor basis stamping each shirt with a quality mark - The Diamond G.
The Selvage Madras shirt we dare say is one of the best GANT Rugger shirts, all categories. It is a weft chambray in the same weave and narrow loom we use for our immensely popular Madras shirts.

Gitta Plotnicki ------------------Smart women’s wear: authentic garments, rugged but still feminine, produced with traditional manufacturing techniques all made in Germany – this is what Gitta Plotnicki’s women’s line stands for.
Gitta Plotnicki created women’s shirts in cooperation with the brand ‘Merz b. Schwanen’. These unique items are produced by original circular knitting machines in the Swabian Alps.

Viberg ------------------The Boondocker is our interpretation of the standard issue US Marine WWII boot. For this project we used an exclusive reproduction of Horween’s original natural aniline chromexcel leather.
The upper is stitched down onto a double stacked leather sole with a dove tail heel. From the thread to the eyelets, every detail has been considered and kept as true to the original as possible.
