A meditation on the activity of looking and an interaction between visual experience and the illusionary space within and beyond the picture surface.

We are proud to host the UK’s first ever exhibition of Shojo manga, Japanese comics created by and for women. Featuring the work of Akiko Hatsu, Keiko Takemiya and Yukiko Kai.

Immerse yourself in Japanese comics, books and food as the Warehouse transforms into Café Doraku - the focus of the Brewery’s celebration of that most unique of comic art forms – Manga.

The UK’s leading celebration of comic art from across the world featuring masterclasses, book-signings and children’s events.

There will also be special drawing events from UK Manga artists Chie Kutswada and Inko, and appearances from Japanese special guests throughout the festival.
