POINTS TO PONDER

From the Executive Director

O

n behalf of the staff here at the Lander Chamber, I’d like to express my deep gratitude to you, our members, for your overwhelmingly positive responses to our annual membership survey. Promoting Our Members A major goal of 2022 was to significantly increase the promotion of our members. 2021 began with the spectre of COVID still in the air, and not knowing what the future would hold, we postponed Lander Brewfest until August and replaced the in-person, sit-down Community Awards Luncheon with a series of videos that significantly highlighted the winners and the sponsors of the project. On YouTube and Facebook combined, these videos were viewed 4,500 times. Increased Social Media Presence We’ve increased our presence on social media, most notably on Facebook. We began this effort in 2020, seeing a Facebook page reach of 45,889, an increase of 679%, and Instagram reach of 91, an increase of 122%. In 2021, our Facebook page reach was 55,648, a 21.6% increase over 2020, and a significantly increased Instagram reach of 3,510, an increase of 4.1K%. The Lander Biz Show Launched in early September, the Lander Biz Show is a weekly radio show (airing every Thursday at 4:00 pm on KOVE 1330 AM/ 107.7 FM) and podcast co-hosted by me and County 10’s Charene Herrera. The podcasts are shared on social media by both County 10 and the Chamber, and County 10 promotes each one as a stand alone post on its website newstream and daily County 10 Digest emails. We’ve featured more than ten members so far, and many more will be featured in 2022. Schedule your appearance today! The Lander Chamber Blog We launched the Chamber’s new blog in 2021, and have published 50 posts so far, highlighting members new and old, sharing business tips, and updating you on our growing advocacy efforts which include our support of the One Shot Antelope Hunt, CWC Rocky Mountain Complex for Ag & Equine Science, Central Wyoming Regional Airport, and Sinks Canyon Via Ferrata. New Initiatives for 2022 Be on the lookout for new programs in the coming year, including this month’s Legislative Session Preview Luncheon, our spring Volunteer Fair, and year-round Lander Young Professionals program!

NEW MEMBERS

Welcome, New Members! Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Lander, Global Response Systems Corporation (GRS) is a health-centric software company providing secure messaging, Managed File Transfer (MFT), and rapid team coordination platforms for healthcare and business enterprises. GRS solutions consist of enterprise-class, closed-system software suites that meet applicable Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and data security rule standards. “As a company, we are thrilled to be headquartered in Lander,” says GRS’ CEO Josh Denhardt. “As GRS grows, we look forward to being a part of the local economy’s growth and diversification.” GRS software solutions are multi-platform functional across Web, iOS, and Android operating systems. This multifaceted functionality supports secure messaging and file sharing throughout an organization’s remote work environments. The software platforms streamline multiple communication and coordination processes by improving response times, significantly boosting efficiencies, and multiplying coordination capabilities. GRS solutions have also caught the attention of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). In 2020, GRS was asked to participate in the United States Air Force’s (USAF) Commercial Solution’s for Classified (CSfC) event, where several use cases for its solutions were identified. “We continue to work with our partners in that space,” Denhardt said. “I’m excited about what we’ve been doing as a company and where we are heading. Our solutions will be in use across the contiguous U.S., from California to New York, within weeks. “Our software platforms offer significant advantages for customers who need to compliantly message and send files — such as x-rays, labs, and legal documents. GRS customers are often shocked at how easy our software platforms are to use.” Denhardt continued, “I encourage anyone who is currently emailing, faxing, or texting confidential information to reach out to us for a free 30-day trial.” Email GRS at info@securegrs.com

NEW BOARD MEMBER

Tom Davis, Clinic Director/Owner, Fremont Therapy Group

Tom is the director of the Lander clinic and brings a broad skillset to the team. Tom is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS).The OCS certification focuses on evidence-based practice, orthopedic injury examination, treatment, and medical interventions. He is also a Sports Certified Specialist (SCS). The SCS designation is the highest qualification that a physical therapist can attain in practice of Sports Physical Therapy and gives formal recognition for his advanced clinical knowledge, experience, and skills in this area. Tom is the only PT in Wyoming to have both an OCS and SCS. Tom has a passion for sports medicine, as he has spent countless hours helping student-athletes in basketball and baseball recover from various sports-related injuries. Tom participated in a Sportsmetrics course which is scientifically proven ACL prevention program for high school athletes. He also achieved his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. As a CSCS, he applies scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. In addition, Tom has advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation to differentially diagnose and treat vestibular disorders, he does Running Analysis sessions to help runners perfect their gait and is trained to fabricate custom orthotics. Tom received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University and earned his Master of Physical Therapy from California State University, Northridge. His undergraduate degree in Exercise Science is from his home state at the University of Montana. When Tom is not working in the clinic, he enjoys spending his free time in the outdoors, running, biking, golfing, snowboarding and spending time with his wife and twin boys. Crisp lettuce, sun ripe tomatoes, savory goat cheese, bundles of carrots and beets, fresh mouth-watering bread...do we have your attention? All of these items and more are available at the Lander Valley Farmers Market (LVFM) at Lander City Park each Saturday morning during the summer growing season. The LVFM has been proudly serving the Lander Community since 2008. We are a non-profit organization run by a volunteer board of directors, and we believe that locally sourced food adds to a vibrant community and thriving economy. Last year, the LVFM helped facilitate over $130,000 dollars of revenue for small businesses in the Fremont County area. We recorded over 15,000 customers with an average of 19 vendors per week during the 2021 market season. While many of the customers were returning Landerites who come every weekend, we had many tourists and folks come

from as far as Rock Springs and Casper just to visit our market! The LVFM is invested in making Lander a thriving community with a strong locally sourced food system. Our producers are the backbone of the LVFM and continue to be a source of pride for our community. Long lines of eager customers form in front of vendor booths before the market opens each Saturday. We believe it is because of the quality of goods and a sense of loyalty to the vendors, who work tirelessly to bring forth the freshest produce and highest quality goods. We welcome volunteers and are currently looking for new Board Members to contribute to the longterm success of the market. If you like locally sourced fresh food, if you like supporting local entrepreneurs, if you like a vibrant local economy, then the Lander Valley Farmers Market is the place for you. Come see us next year on the first Saturday in June. Visit www.landervalleyfarmersmarket.com for more information about becoming a vendor or volunteering for our organization.
