With its warm and inviting atmosphere and friendly service, the ArtsCafé offers a wide selection of fresh salads and light bites, home made cakes and pastries. If you fancy something a bit more substantial choose from freshly filled breads and jacket potatoes, Mediterranean dishes, burgers and grills. Set in over 40 acres of picturesque woodland, The Hawth’s flexible layout lends itself to a variety of functions and is regularly hired for wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthdays and business celebrations.
ArtsCafé is open Monday – Friday from 11am for breakfast, coffee, tea and cakes and then from 12pm – 2pm for our full lunch menu. The ArtsCafé and bar are also open evenings and weekends prior to all shows. Pre-show meals can be purchased up to two hours prior to most performances until 30 minutes before a show. Free Workshops Cross Currents is an exciting multi-cultural project in Crawley, which invites musicians from every background to get involved. It’s a musical celebration of a town in which over 90 languages are spoken, and each different culture has its own distinctive sound. The project builds up to a concert at The Hawth on Fri 2 March. Composer Robert Jarvis will run a series of workshops in which he will collaborate with the participants to compose a brand new piece of music lasting 30-40 minutes. The piece will grow out of the sounds, styles and skills of the players and will give all the participants the chance to play in their own style as well as learn something new. All instruments and musical backgrounds are very welcome, and the ability to read music is not necessary. Musicians under the age of 18 will have to be accompanied by an adult. Beryl Hovell Paintings on Pure Silk
An exhibition of oil paintings depicting aircraft from the ’40s to the ’60s and landscapes - from the Canadian Rockies to the Lake District. Len is the co-founder of The Horley Society of Artists.
Beryl’s 4th exhibition at The Hawth features vibrant works created with special dyes on pure silk. Beryl is inspired by nature and the changing seasons. The exhibition also includes pen and ink, watercolour and acrylic paintings.

Art In Motion An open art competition celebrating sport and physical activity in Crawley, with winners’ work contributing to a new permanent art exhibition at K2. Works can depict anything sporting which took place in Crawley in the year before the submission date of Tue 25 September 2012. Amateur and professional artists of all ages are invited to submit works inspired anything from organised events to a kickabout in the park. Photography, drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, computer-aided design, collage or montage are all welcome.
