CHILDCARE CHILDCARE were formed in 2016 when Ed Cares, then a very in-demand London-based male nanny, was convinced to start a band by Katie, a six-yearold he looked after. The name CHILDCARE was the obvious choice, and has become a name known around the UK and beyond for the art-punk pop music made by this talented four-piece band. Their debut album Wabi-Sabi was released last May to rave reviews. richlegate@gmail.com getwellsoon.org.uk

BABEHEAVEN Babeheaven are a fi ve-piece band from West London who take their inspiration from the deep musical history of the city in which they live. Band members and long-term friends Jamie Travis and Nancy Anderson started to make music together that is imbued with a sense of their neighbourhood, having lived in the same area and worked on the same street (in a fruit shop and an antique shop respectively). Their debut album ‘Suspended Animation’ was released in October. becky@urokmanagement.com babeheavenband.com MIRO SHOT Miro Shot are not just a band but a collective, made up of musicians, fi lmmakers, coders and designers looking to transform the very meaning of what bands and live music can be. Their groundbreaking live shows, augmenting their performance using VR and mixed reality, have been played across Europe, bringing audiences an immersive experience of their music. alice@eastcitymanagement.com miroshot.com

FAR CASPIAN Far Caspian started as the recording project of Irish multi-instrumentalist and producer Joel Johnston, but eventually grew into a four-piece band. They formed while they were all at university in Leeds just a few years ago, but in that short time they’ve grown and perfected their music, and now they’ve received lots of support on BBC Radio 1 and sold out headline shows across the UK and EU. sam@futuresoundgroup.com farcaspian.org

LIFE LIFE are a four-piece post-punk band from Hull who made a big impact when they released their debut album ‘Popular Music’ in 2017. It was championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music and won the appreciation of celebrated post-punk band Idles. They released their second album, ‘A Picture Of Good Health’, last year on their own label Afghan Moon in partnership with PIAS. david@liquidmanagement.net lifeband.co.uk
