Our Climate Change Agreement (CCA) schemes added 55 new entrants: 53 for the plastics sector and two for PIFA. Target Period 4 (2019-2020) reporting was completed successfully thanks to the CCA team and all our Partners, with the current scheme extended for another 24 months, Target period 5 (2021-2022). BPF Energy commissioned a new Carbon Footprint Reporting tool. BPF Energy are pleased to report another very successful and progressive year for the Plastic Sector CCA Schemes. achieving 15.9% relative to the existing 2008 baseline. January 2021 was the start of Target Period 5 — an extension to the existing scheme, which started with an adjustment of the baseline to 2018 and a new improvement target of 3.8% for the plastic sector and 4.1% for PIFA. This was reduced from 6.7% following target negotiations with BEIS. This was also an exciting year for BPF Energy as it commissioned the BPF online Carbon Footprint reporting tool, which can
draw energy data from our existing CCA database. The Carbon Footprint reporting tool was launched in February 2022. Our popular webinar events focused on using technology to reduce your energy costs and CO2 emissions, as well as an Energy Management Masterclass and two new webinars on Sustainability and Carbon Footprint produced and presented by Dr. Robin Kent. Finally, congratulations go to the 2021 BPF Energy Award winner, Beverage Plastics Ltd.
