Sandra K mine, in Segovia, is the most important operation for Gran Colombia Gold not only because of its gold production but also because of diversifying its income through the new polymetallic recovery plant, from which profitable quantities of zinc and lead are obtained, apart from gold and silver concentrated on its tailings.
During the first half of 2022, operations in Segovia came to 103,149 ounces, a very similar quantity to the one obtained during the first six months in 2021, thus reaching in the last twelve months a production of 210,975 oz., a 2% increase as compared to the same period in July 2021.
The company continues its search for more minerals also in its existing projects such as El Silencio and Sandra K. The latter has currently seven levels and elevators and has received investments to build emergency shelters at different levels.
