3-4 YEAR OLD PROGRAM

The 3 year old thematic based program is designed for one of a child’s first experiences in a “school” setting. Our program will stress socialization, cooperative play, fine motor skills, sharing and following directions, and the beginnings of letter and name recognition. Must be 3 by September 1, 2013.

4-5 YEAR OLD PROGRAM

The 4 year old phonics based curriculum will help develop the academic and social skills needed for entering kindergarten in area school districts. Our program stresses the development of independence and academic skills through learning centers, structured activities, socialization, cooperative play and dramatic play and sharing. Must be 4 by September 1, 2013

Program Guidelines and Registration • A BTPD registration form must be submitted along with a copy of a birth certificate and a $35 non – refundable administration fee. • Children must be of the appropriate age required for each program. • A current immunization form will be required for students before the first day of attendance. • All children must be able to take care of their own bathroom needs. Diapers are not acceptable.

Building A Bright Future! Early Learning Station Preschool Programs The Early Learning Station program promotes an environment that fosters critical thinking, problem solving skills, and social development taught through alphabet and thematic units. The experiences are both educational and recreational, which aid in social, physical, intellectual and emotional growth. Qualified experienced teachers instruct the programs. Illinois Early Learning Standards are applied to curriculum lessons. Sign up early, classes are limited to allow for a low student-teacher ratio. Children must be toilet independent prior to the first day of class. Sessions are divided according to age. Child should be 3 or 4 by September 1, 2013.

This program involves low key activities like reading stories, playing board games or just relaxing with a favorite toy. Breakfast can be provided or sent from home. On My Own

Themes taught will help teach some skills as well as socialization skills. Songs, games, stories, and hands on activities are used to make for an enjoyable experience. Child must be able to communicate needs to instructor. Prerequisite: Child must have been enrolled in the fall 2013 session of Three’s Between or with approval of instructor.

The instructor will guide your child through fun activities that will help develop their independence. Different themes will be introduced through the season. Little Hoopsters

Once upon a time at Sparkle Boutique every girl got to be a princess! In this program every girl gets a princess makeover with light makeup, glittery nail polish, and an up-do. They will pick their princess costume and hit the runway. Each girl will be announced and show off their twirl.

Prepare your future basketball player for next year’s youth basketball league. We will introduce players to the game by working on basic fundamental dribbling, passing, shooting, defending and basic rules of basketball. Players can look forward to fun games and scrimmages.

A journey to the North Pole! Join us for the Exploration Station’s twist on the popular Polar Express! Take an outdoor Carriage ride through Perry Farm Park and listen to a popular Christmas Story as it actually comes to life right in front of you and your children’s eyes! Healing Garden

NEW

The Agape Sisterhood organization would like to create an area healing garden. The BTPD has approved for the Kankakee Area Healing Garden to be constructed at the Perry Farm near Coyne Street. The garden will consist of flowers, plants and a pathway leading to an area where individuals can enjoy a sense of relaxation and healing. This garden will be open to anyone who has lost or won any battle, not just cancer. This garden will truly be for everyone regardless of their walk in life. To commemorate victories or losses of loved ones, the garden walkway will include personally engraved bricks for $30. Agape Sisterhood anticipates a groundbreaking event, along with a children’s fair on April 26, 2014 and garden completion once fully funded. We strongly encourage people to contribute to this beautiful addition to Perry Farm Park and our community. With your help, we can create a welcoming, warm space where people can lessen their pain and experience the joy of nature and personal healing.

Cross Country Ski Rentals

We’re headed to Geneva where you can enjoy an evening of holiday site-seeing, shopping and dining in historic Geneva and delight in chestnuts roasting, strolling carolers, freshly-made candy canes and hot cider. The traditional Christmas Walk will begin at 6:00 p.m. when Santa Lucia, the Swedish symbol of the season, and her attendants arrive by horse-drawn carriage to offer Swedish cookies to visitors. Then Santa makes his appearance to light the Great Tree on the Courthouse lawn and officially opens his Gingerbread House at 6:30 p.m. This is one holiday experience you won’t want to miss! The Bourbonnais Township Park District presents this 11 day trip of a lifetime. First, a 3 day, inside passage cruise from Vancouver stopping at Tracy Arm/Juneau then on to Whitehorse to start a fabulous Yukon journey. Follow the route of Klondike gold stampeders to Dawson City for 2 nights. Then you’re bound for Fairbanks, Alaska’s Golden Heart City, before heading to Denali National Park, home of the magnificent national treasure, Mt. McKinley. You’ll have plenty of time to explore Denali during your 2 night stay before boarding the luxurious domed rail cars of the McKinley Explorer bound for Anchorage.
