Binghamton Circle K Meeting Minutes 4_23_18 Called to order: 8:03 Public Relations: o Subscribe to us on social media, search @BingCircle K! o Enhance your involvement transcript by adding Circle K on B-Engaged! This is great way to for us to track how many members we currently have in club and gauge the number of retuning members for next semester. o Can you believe the semester is almost over? There is only ONE MORE meeting left of the year! You don’t want to miss next Monday, because we are having the year end party! There will be food and superlatives! Bring yourself, your friends and everyone you know! If you paid your dues you will also be able to pick up your shirt. If you didn’t order a shirt, we will be able to order we will try find you one! o Game time! Guess the e-board officer! Past Events: Thank you to all who have either baked or bought baked goods during our bake sales! o We were able to donate $60 to the National MS Society o Shout to Lila! We appreciate all of your hard work as serving as the Bake Sale Chair. Out of the Darkness Walk o Thank you to the 10 members who walked around the brain last Saturday for suicide prevention! o The Binghamton Campus Community was able to raise $11,000 Autism Speaks Carnival o There was great turnout to help out the special needs community and reach out to those who live in the nearby area! Upcoming Events: Relay for Life o On April 27th and 28th from 4PM-4AM, honor those who are currently fighting or who have lost their fight to cancer. o Make sure to sign up on the American Cancer Society Website and join the Circle K team! o We have currently raised $500 as a team. o There is a link to donate in both the email and Facebook. o We will be playing board games and walking around so stop by!
o It’s a really event great involved so y’all should get involved! o This is a great event that raises money to help one day find the cancer.
Committee Chair Applications o There are ten different committee chairs and currently only two letters of intents submitted. o If you are considering running and would like to learn more, ask anyone on the e-board for more details. o Make sure to talk to Lauren about her experiences, she has served as the scrapbook chair and knows the ins and outs of chairing! Superlatives! o Have you nominated yourself or friends yet for superlatives? o The results will be revealed at the last meeting. o There has only been one submission so far! Try to fill it out ASAP!
Final Remarks: Circle K Campaign—The Circle K Campaign o Circle K is ______examples: family, service explanations on a piece of 8 ½ and 11” paper. o We will learn be taking group shots as well as individual ones with your with your posters! o Would you like to create an advertisement to attract new student to join Circle K? o More details will be announced at the final meeting of the semester Let’s get ready to party! o The next meeting is to celebrate the hard work of all of you this past semester! Service this summer? o Maybe you will have a little more time to get involved with your home community! o Colleen, will be logging your service hours!
