Currently 20:1 is a credit bearing internship with both male and female peers. 20:1 comprises of two programs; the 20:1 Sexual Assault Prevention Program and the 20:1 Bystander Intervention Program. B. "20:1" represents approximately twenty women per hour that are sexually assaulted each day in the United States C. Both programs provide educational programs on sexual violence and interpersonal violence. IV. Old Business A. Binghamton Zoo Cleanup i. It was a lot of fun. ii. “We raked probably like a billion leaves” – John iii. “I like seeing animals, especially the wolf. The wolf was pretty cool” John B. Out of the Darkness Walk i. Julia and Amy went and ran the bake sale table C. Late Nite Karaoke i. “So many people showed up for that” – John ii. “Someone said their favorite thing at Late Nite was Karaoke on Late Nite Facebook Page. 1. “That’s what’s up”- John iii. We made $50.00 D. Backpack Program i. Ponle and John went to Johnson City High School ii. Helped prepare bags of food for kids that don’t have enough food to eat on the weekends iii. Packed a total of 642 bags!!! #damn E. Trivia Krack i. It was a lot of fun. We made $44 for the Binghamton Humane Society ii. The Sex Crystals Won #yayy #congrats V. New Business A. Geo-Ca$h For Charity (April 27th – May 2nd) i. The more Geocash we find, the more money ours sponsors will donate to March of Dimes ii. Let Jenna or Jerry know if you want to join our team or know someone who can sponsor us B. Brides Against Breast Cancer (Saturday, May 9th at 3 PM)
i. Walaa is running this event ii. It will be at YMCA of Johnson City iii. People can go and buy a wedding gown. We will be helping set up racks. C. Mulchfest (Saturday, May 9th at 9 AM) i. Cornell and Ithaca are working on this together ii. We will be helping deliver mulch VI. Upcoming Events A. Relay for Life i. Friday, April 24th (Aka Tomorrow!!!) at 5PM ii. You don’t have to stay for the whole time. You should plan on bringing blankets, HW, sleeping bags, etc if you’re planning on staying the whole time. iii. Send any dedication things to John by tonight. iv. You can still participate if you haven’t signed up yet. Sign up is $20 at the door. B. End of the Year Social i. Saturday, April 25th at 8 PM ii. It’s in C4 Multipurpose room. iii. RSVP if you haven’t done so already. Also bring your friends! iv. There will be music, speeches, ice-cream and the snapchat slideshow. v. If you have any snapchats you would like to send, send them to John at circlek@binghamtonsa.edu. They are $0.50 each C. April-May Oreo Bake Sake i. Friday, May 1st from 12-4 PM in Tillman Lobby ii. If you would like to bake something, let John know ASAP. iii. You will be getting service hours for baking! Also sign up to table! D. Boys and Girls Club Carnival i. Friday, May 1st from 2:30-6 PM ii. We will be working the dunk tank booth at the carnival, if it doesn’t rain. iii. John will be in the dunk tank. iv. We will be also helping clean-up v.
