§ Friday, April 28th from 5pm-5am § Consider coming for a short time or try to stick it out the whole night o Yankee Candle Fundraiser § Group Number: 990102093 o We will be handing out pins, new member hand books, and t-shirts at the next meeting! § YAY COME GET YOUR COOL STUFF!!! • Closing Business o Guest Speaker: Mike Ross from the Binghamton Rescue Mission o Regional director of Binghamton Rescue Mission o 32 bed facility on north side of Binghamton for men experiencing homelessness or on the edge of homelessness o connected to Syracuse branch o New auburn facility will be opening up § Generally, for families in domestic abuse situations o Permanent supportive housing, there isn’t an end date § Everyone is on their own cycle and ability to transition o 3 months in BRM begin to realize that they are comfortable looking for a job or going to the doctor (the larger issues) o Average stay for a resident is about a year, some have stayed longer, some shorter o Housing for women will be new! Starting up in March

§ We want people to help! § Gutting the inside and redoing it all! § Our own mini habitat for humanity The last Thursday of every month, community meal at the United Presbyterian Church Thrifty shopper § 60% of operating budget § Help put clothing on racks § You can volunteer there! The level the rescue mission facilities are held at are amazing! Residents call us Whitney Palace February 24th § Freeze out 5K § Glow race! § Need about 12-15 more course marshals! § Last year we had 190 runners, this year we have more!
