We are looking for current students from a variety of courses who would like to support our new students, enhance their CV and gain valuable employability and interpersonal skills.
Being a Bucks Buddy enables you to offer peer to peer advice and share your experiences of transition into Higher Education. As well as students studying full time undergraduate courses at High Wycombe, Uxbridge and Aylesbury Campuses, we are also interested in students from overseas so they can share their understanding of studying in the UK, mature students, students on Post Graduate and Part Time programs, and those enrolled at Partner Colleges. You will be assigned an email account to connect with a group of applicants to Bucks and remain in contact with them through their application process and during their first term of study. Periodically you will be asked to send out email messages, as well as answer any questions they have, and pass on relevant information. This role is flexible and can be carried out alongside other commitments, and you will be asked to record your communications and complete an evaluation at the end of the project in January. Upon receipt of this paperwork you will be awarded £100 for being a Buddy.
