Christina Demetriou VPSI So we’ve entered our third week of working from home and I’m feeling pretty excited to be honest. After all, they say third time’s a charm, no? Starting from this week we’ll be launching some mini language classes for everyone, with some Greek from moi (yes I know that’s French) and some Croatian from your International Executive Officer Karlo. While Varsity won’t be taking the pitches, pools and courts this Wednesday, we have been challenged by Roey to move the battle online…may the best keyboard warrior win. And to round it all off I’ll be serving some culinary creativity on Friday with the first LIVE “Dins with Dems” where we’ll be creating something other than a pasta dish, hopefully…
Tao Warburton President One week down, 2 or more to go! Just a quick message from me, hope you’re all coping well with everything that is going on. I’m afraid to say not much has changed since last week. The Students’ Union staff are trying their hardest to make sure the University is doing the right thing by you and your classmates. Along with daily meetings about how the University can improve in this situation, I am virtually at NUS (National Union of Students) conference where we are voting in the new NUS president and Vice Presidents just like some of you did with our sabbatical elections, as well as voting on some important policies that may go to parliament. I can’t say too much this week as myself and the NUS student delegates will be giving an update in next week’s paper. I hope you all stay safe and fingers crossed, see you soon.
Brooke Pilbeam VPEW Well we’re into our 3rd week of working from home and I think I am starting to adjust to this bizarre set up! On what should have been my final Varsity – I am feeling very nostalgic about my time at Bucks and can’t believe I won’t be here next year. However I will absolutely be coming back to next year’s Varsity to support all our amazing players and I hope all our 3rd years will too! I am still working closely with the University in this time to ensure you are getting a positive learning experience. Please get in touch if there is anything we can help you with!
