Little Johnnie, age 6, was seeing the inside of a bank for the first time. His father had a check to cash, and took Johnnie with him. Mr. Hess was in the lumber business at Wichita, Kansas, before coming to California, and Mr. Harriman was formerly in business at Long Beach for some years.
