The new teletype number is LA 1516, announces William J, "Bill" Belau, who says the company is now more easily accessible to offers from the mills.

Forest Service Gefs Reody

Because precipitation was low in much of the mountainous country of the u'est this past winter, the Forest Service has prepared for a bad fire season during the coming months, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said. Richard E. McArdle, chief of the service, said that since trainecl manPower and speed of attack are essential in combating fire, the Forest Service already has trainecl its seasonal fire fighters and lined up speedy transportation.
