"Bob" MacArthur, prominent wholesale lumberman of San Francisco, has announced his candidacy for the position of Supervisor of San Francisco in the coming November election. At the solicitation of the United Voters of San Francisco. he decided to enter the race. "Bob" MacArthur, ofR. MacArthur & Co., wholesale lumber dealers, is well known in San Francisco, where he has been. connected with the lumber business for the past thirty-five years. He is a prominent member of the Olympic Club, and, during his younger days represented the club in many athletic events, at which time he held the Pacific Coast amateur championships in the half mile, mile, and lightweight boxing and wrestling. "Bob" MacArthur is a fine gentleman and a highly respected citizen in San Franc,isco, and his lumbernren friends are working hard for his success in the November election.
