Happy Spring!

Dear Volunteers,

We hope the first few months of 2022 have been treating you all kindly! With the Spring season quickly approaching, we have a few annoucements as well as some new volunteer opportunities! As you can see on the right, we have some big news! As of March 4, Lacey has left the Burbank Volunteer Program team to embark on a new cereer path. We will miss her so much but are so happy for her and we wish her continued success and growth! Although it is a bitter-sweet goodbye, as one door closes, another door opens. We are excited to announce a new addition to the team! Derrick has joined our team as our Recreation Coordinator! His first day with us was on Monday, February 28. Derrick is excited to be a part of the team and meet everyone. To our volunteers that may need to get some hours under their belt soon, we will need several volunteers to help prepare for our annual Spring-Extravaganza event, as well as volunteers to assist with the event on Saturday, April 16. (See page 4) Aditionally, we are excited to be resuming gadget tutoring at the Joslyn Adult Center. If you are available a few hours a week and have knowledge of basic functions of smartphones, tablets, and/or laptops, this is an amazing opportunity for you! (See page 3) If you would like to help with prep work for Spring Egg-Stravaganza, help on the day of the event, or are interested in becoming a gadget tutor, please call the Burbank Volunteer Program at 818-238-5370 or send an email to bvp@burbankca.gov. The Burbank Volunteer Program Team, Caitlyn and Derrick
