Happy May! With vaccinations and the steady decline in COVID-19 cases comes the gradual reopening of our regular volunteer programming. Although most of our volunteer sites remain closed, at this pace, we are hopeful that we will have a lot more opportunities for you all in the near future. This past month, several SWAT and Youth Board volunteers helped families solve clues and hand out goodie bags at our annual Egg-stravaganza Scavenger Hunt. The Spring Bunny even stopped by! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this event so much fun. Check out page 2 for some awesome pictures of the event! In other news, the Burbank library, one of our more popular volunteer sites, is slowly starting to expand their programming and volunteer needs. Keep an eye out for emails from BVP with more information on how you can help once they re-open! On May 29th, the BVP team will be working alongside the Michelson Found Animals Foundation to host a Pet Wellness Day. See page 4 for more information about the event and how you can volunteer! As always, thank you all for your continued volunteer efforts. Every event we host we are reminded just how wonderful you all are and how much of an impact you all continue to make on this community. We hope that the rest of your spring season is filled with plenty of happiness and sunshine! Best, The BVP Team Marcus & Lacey
