Happy Anniversary!
This year is Burwell Print’s 25th Anniversary! It’s amazing to think that we’ve been around for such a long time. The organisation has changed and developed massively over the years but our ethos remains the same. It all began in November 1988. Two groups, Patch 22 and the printing class from Barton Hall (a residential home for young autistic adults in Barton Mills) came together to provide an affordable printing service for local community groups as well as providing work based training for this group. Based in a PortaKabin in the
grounds of Burwell Village College there was one member of staff and space for up to six Printers each day. The services we offered then were defined by the technology of the time, an Apple Mac system and litho machine, were used to print leaflets, booklets and village magazines. By the mid 1990s we had a black and a colour photocopier and were printing with a risograph.
With the new, purpose built Print Centre in 1999 came screen and t-shirt printing. Burwell Print continued to grow its business and customer base, as well as offering
