Dear Readers,

Nakon više od 60 godina, Aston Martin je rešio da se vrati u vrh svetskog moto sporta i to u vreme kada se sve menja. Zaista velika odluka.

After more than 60 years, Aston Martin has decided to return to the top of the world motorsport at a time when everything is changing. A major decision indeed.

Retrospektiva prošlosti i budućnosti, obeležila je rubriku ֦U pokretu”. Klasik ili automobil budućnosti? Zasigurno teška odluka.

A retrospective of the past and the future marked the "On the move" section. A classic or a car of the future? That’s certainly a difficult decision.

Rolls Royce, u krugu fabrike koji zauzima 42 hektara, nastanio je šest kolonija pčela koje mogu da sakupljaju hranu i na „zelenim“ krovovima proizvodnog pogona. Svakako, pravi primer društvene odgovornosti.

Roll Royce has housed six colonies of honey bees on its 42-acre factory grounds which can also forage for food on the “green” roofs of the manufacturing plant. Certainly, a prime example of social responsibility.

Neke od ovakvih odluka uticale su na stvaranje našeg, 23. broja. Veliko i teško često idu zajedno, a posledica toga budi pravi primer.

Some decisions such as these ones have influenced the creation of our 23rd issue. Major and difficult things often walk hand in hand, producing, as a result, prime examples.

Novi bolid tima Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One vraća ovog britanskog proizvođača ultra luksuznih automobila u vrh svetskog moto sporta po prvi put nakon više od 60 godina. Svetskoj publici je premijerno prikazan putem interesantne virtuelne prezentacije koja je izazvala veliko interesovanje. Izvršni predsednik kompanije Aston Martin, Lorens Strol je to opisao kao „važan događaj u istoriji automobilizma“, a ovaj novi trkački automobil biće prvi bolid Formule 1 koji će poneti čuvena krila otkako je bolid DBR5 vozača Morisa Trintinjana prošao kroz cilj na stazi Silverston 1960. godine.

Bolid AMR21, kojeg će ove sezone na trkama voziti četvorostruki svetski šampion Formule 1, Nemac Sebastijan Fetel, i zvezda u usponu, Kanađanin Lens Strol, zaodenut je u upadljivu zelenu trkačku boju Aston Martina odajući priznanje tradicionalnim trkačkim bojama i slavnom sportskom nasleđu ove kompanije. The AMR21, to be raced this season by four-time F1TM World Champion Sebastian Vettel (DE) and rising star Lance Stroll (CA), carries a striking Aston Martin Racing Green livery in recognition of Aston Martin’s traditional racing colours and glorious sporting legacy. It is also bedecked by a host of global partners, led by American IT giant Cognizant, while the chassis features a magenta stripe down the side in reference to the team’s longstanding partner BWT. This event also threw the spotlight on an energizing shift within Aston Martin as the team is set to become the global showcase for the brand’s engineering and performance capabilities. Indeed a new 200,000 square-foot facility will complement the existing Aston Martin F1TM factory at Silverstone when completed in the second half of 2022, and the team is well positioned to become an innovation lab to drive forward the brand’s future road car technologies. These will include the suite of mid-engined sportscars, inspired by the Aston Martin Valkyrie, which will become central to the product portfolio through the next decade.

The new Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team car returns the British ultra-luxury marque to the pinnacle of world motorsport for the first time in more than 60 years. It was unveiled, in a much anticipated immersive virtual launch in front of a global audience. Described by Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll as an ‘important event in automotive history’, the new contender will be the first works Formula 1 car to carry the famous wings since Maurice Trintignant’s DBR5 crossed the finish line at Silverstone in 1960.

It may have been absent from F1™ for 61 years, but Aston Martin’s competitive credentials are firmly intact – the company was formed by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford in 1913 with motorsport at the heart of its endeavour. Next year will mark a century since Aston Martin made its grand prix debut (in France 1922), and the brand has enjoyed sustained success in sportscar racing, including overall victory in the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans. Most recently Aston Martin became a double class winner with the Vantage GTE in last year’s race at La Sarthe and is the reigning GT FIA World Endurance Manufacturers’ champion. The Aston Martin Cognizant Formula OneTM Team also boasts a strong bloodline, building on the foundations of Team Silverstone, which in its various guises has won five grands prix, and is coming off the back of a race-winning campaign as the Racing Point Formula One™ Team, having been revitalized under the leadership of Lawrence Stroll and Team Principal and CEO Otmar Szafnauer.

Osnovan 2018. godine, pčelinjak nastanjuje šest kolonija od oko 300 000 engleskih medonosnih pčela. Okruženje koje savršeno odgovara navikama pčela doprinelo je neprestanom rastu njihovog broja. Osim što hranu pronalaze među mnoštvom divljeg bilja i drveća koje raste u krugu fabrike Rolls Royce i zauzima 42 hektara, pčele mogu skupljati hranu i na „zelenim“ krovovima proizvodnog pogona sa gusto zasađenim sedumima, površine od oko osam jutara (3,2 hektara) čineći ga najvećim u Britaniji. A ako im je čak i ovo izobilje nedovoljno, mogu jednostavno da pređu na susedno imanje Gudvud, koje im nudi 12.000 jutara (4.900 hektara) adekvatne veličanstvene ishrane.

Rolls-Royce is seeking up to five of its workforce at its Global Centre of Luxury Manufacturing Excellence, to serve as volunteer beekeepers at its Goodwood Apiary. Established in 2018, the Goodwood Apiary is home to six colonies of around 300,000 English honey bees. The bees have consistently thrived in surroundings perfectly suited to their habits. As well as feeding on the myriad wildflowers and trees that grow across the 42 acre Rolls Royce site, the bees can forage on the manufacturing plant's sedum-rich living roof, which at around eight acres (3.2 hectares) is the largest in Britain. Should even this bounty prove insufficient, they can simply cross into the neighbouring Goodwood Estate, which offers 12,000 acres (4,900 hectares) of suitably august sustenance.

The Goodwood bees have achieved near-cult status on social and other media, with followers around the world eagerly monitoring their progress and activities through the season. The bees even enjoy representation on the Rolls-Royce Board through Richard Carter, who combines his principal duties as Director of Global Communications with the equally weighty role of Chief Beekeeper, ably assisted by Beekeeper Jason Hampton.

With the arrival of Spring, the Apiary is gearing up for another season's labour on its rare and precious natural product, globally renowned as the 'RollsRoyce of Honey'. To support the bees in this noble endeavour, Rolls-Royce is inviting its colleagues to become volunteer beekeepers.

Potential candidates will be invited to attend an introductory session; those selected will then receive training in beekeeping techniques and equipment, funded by the company, to prepare them for their new role.

The beekeepers will work in the Apiary in their own time at weekends on a voluntary basis. Their rewards in kind will be considerable, however. As well as making a direct contribution to honey bee conservation, recognised as crucial for the long-term sustainability of both the natural ecosystem and human food production, colleagues will have the satisfaction of being involved in making a second, even rarer product at the Home of Rolls Royce.

The vehicle’ s ambience and interior space offer a premium luxury feel, with acoustic glazing, pre-heating and pre-conditioning, sport seats and sports steering wheel included as standard. The load compartment capacity is 470 litres which can be expanded up to a maximum 1,290 litres. Large tailgate comes as standard with electric opening and closing mechanism.

There is a fully digital screen grouping of 12.3-inch information display and 14.9inch control display. Their advanced graphics and powerful software are based on BMW Operating System 8.

Around 40 driver assistance functions are available on this model - Front-collision warning, Speed Limit Info and Lane Departure Warning are fitted as standard, as well as Optional Active Cruise Control with automatic Speed Limit Assist, route monitoring function and (in Germany) reaction to traffic lights. Also available are Driving Assistant Professional including Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Park Distance Control and Reversing Assist Camera as standard equipment. Jahtu Borkumriff II, dugačku 31 m, izvorno je isporučila kompanija Lubbe Voss 1982. godine jednom vrlo iskusnom i pasioniranom vlasniku jahti. Nakon što je kompletno preuređena 2020. godine, šarmantna, klasično stilizovana škuna modernizovana je što je čini idealnim mestom za opušteni porodični odmor ili kao zabavnu bazu za grupe prijatelja u potrazi za avanturom.

Borkumriff II može da smesti do osam gostiju u četiri kabine s kupatilom, uključujući prostrani glavni apartman i još tri kabine za goste. Borkumriff II sleeps up to eight guests in four ensuite cabins, including a spacious master suite and three further guest cabins. The comfortable and modern dining-saloon on the lower deck has convivial seating around the table, a standalone desk area and bar, while the wheelhouse offers a second relaxation space for an early morning coffee or afternoon cocktail in bright and airy surroundings with views on three sides.

Moving forward

The 31-meter Borkumriff II was originally delivered in 1982 by Lubbe Voss for a highly experienced and passionate yacht owner. After a comprehensive refit in 2020, the charming, classically styled schooner has been given a contemporary twist that makes her the ideal choice for relaxed family getaways or as a fun base for groups of friends on the lookout for adventure.

Predvodnik automobilske industrije za predstojeće proleće najavio je kabriolet luksuzne klase W 111, direktnog prethodnika S-klase, predstavljenog na Međunarodnom sajmu automobila IAA, krajem septembra 1961., u Frankfurtu na Majni. Osim privlačnog dizajna i neprolazne elegancije koja je oduvek oduševljavala posmatrače, ovo vozilo otvorenog krova, četiri sedišta i sa svim funkcionalnostima i prostranom unutrašnjošću i dan-danas privlači pažnju.

Stuttgart. In the autumn of 1961, Mercedes-Benz was, once again, ahead of its time. Only by a few months this time, but the promise it contained was clear: the next spring season was sure to come. The herald of the motoring future for the coming spring was the W 111 luxury class Cabriolet, a direct predecessor of the S-Class, and was unveiled at the International Motor Show (IAA, 21 September to 1 October 1961) in Frankfurt am Main. In addition to the eye-catching design and timeless elegance that never fail to impress the beholder, the opentop vehicle with its four full-featured seats and spacious interior continues to attract attention to this day.

The reason for this abundance of space is that, like the Coupé presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1961, the Cabriolet was based on the full-length floor assembly of the “tail fin” Saloon. In this way, the two elegant two-door models also adopted the safety body with crumple zones at the front and rear, as well as the rigid passenger cell. Right from the outset, the Coupé and Cabriolet were planned as members of the W 111 model series. The aim of Chief Engineer and Development Board Member Prof. Dr h.c. Fritz Nallinger was product diversity over a longer period of time – today one would use the term ‘platform strategy’.

There have been only two precedents: in 1992 with the legendary Moro di Venezia led by Raul Gardini with Paul Cayard at the helm and in 2000, with the first Luna Rossa, entrusted to Francesco De Angelis. This remarkable goal has been achieved through passion and intensive training, but also through the support of a massive technological foundation rooted in the creative and engineering skills that are inseparable from a perception of Italian identity recognized around the world.

Looking at the two-month interval between the America’s Cup World Series regattas in December and the PRADA Cup, it is clear that the Italian team improved its technique, concentrating and keeping its head down, making progress all the while. The strategy was put to the test at sea. While other challengers pursued maximum speed, Luna Rossa focused constantly on improving transitions, maneuverability, and aggressiveness from the very beginning.

Kako bi realizovala susret Džulije Roberts i sata Happy Sport, Karolina Šojfele je poverila umetničko vođstvo ove nove kampanje reditelju Gzavije Dolanu. Poznat po intenzitetu kojim kamerom prenosi osećaje svojih protagonista, Gzavije Dolan je nastojao da kroz kratki film pokaže kako je Džulija Roberts instinktivno povezana s osećajem joie de vivre svojstvenim satovima linije Happy Sport. To orchestrate the encounter between Julia Roberts and Happy Sport, Caroline Scheufele entrusted the artistic direction of this new campaign to director Xavier Dolan. Renowned for the intensity with which he conveys his protagonists’ emotions through the camera, Xavier Dolan strove to show through a short film how Julia Roberts instinctively related to the Joie de Vivre inherent in Happy Sport watches. He also served as artistic director for a series of shots taken by photographer Shayne Laverdière.

His visually very modern style offers a subtle reflection between Japanese tradition and pop culture. He masterfully achieves this result by combining leading-edge multimedia tools with traditional Japanese techniques such as gold leaf. A real rock star in the contemporary art world, he coined the name Superflat for the artistic movement he began.


Fuzija - Fusion

An initial visit to the Hublot manufacture in February 2020 enabled Takashi Murakami to familiarise himself with the work of a watchmaker and timepiece design. This triggered a creative process that resulted in the very innovative Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami, inspired by Murakami’s icon, the smiling flower. Here, it is present both in and on the watch.

Thanks to an ingenious ball-bearing system developed by Hublot’s engineers, its petals start turning. The center of the smiling flower is inserted onto the sapphire glass, creating a unique three-dimensional effect to go along with its wide prominent smile.

Ispostavilo se da je stil „Sve crno“ koji je izumeo Hublot 2006. godine, takođe i jedan od Murakamijevih umetničkih obeležja. Da bi se postigao još jači efekt, latice (456 brilijanata) i brojčanik (107 brilijanata) ovde su ukrašeni crnim dijamantima. The Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami All Black takes up one of the most evocative Hublot signatures, the All Black! Invented by Hublot in 2006, it turns out that the “All Black” style is also one of Murakami’s artistic signatures. For an even more pronounced effect, the petals (456 brilliants) and face (107 brilliants) are here set with black diamonds. The watchmakers in Nyon have installed their manufacture Unico calibre in the case with its Classic Fusion emblematic design, a movement offering a 72-hour power reserve. As the first collaboration between Hublot and a Japanese artist, the Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami All Black will quickly become a real collector’s item since it is limited to only 200 models.

Naslovi, Umetnik koji vidi jer zna da gleda, Umetnost je stvarala od svega što je dotakla, Kako je jedna izložba izazvala cunami, Beograd je video najbolju izložbu, su pokazatelj diskretnog nadmetanja medija za eskluzivnost u osvajanju i usmeravanju pažnje javnosti na retrospektivnu izložbu Mire Brtke, „Refleksije" u Muzeju grada Beograda, koju je tokom trajanja (mart-maj 2021) videlo blizu 24.000 posetlaca.

Činjenica da je Mira Brtka 1963. godine diplomirala na Akademiji lepih umetnosti u Rimu i bila, skoro dve decenije druge polovine 20 veka, pripadnica rimske artističke scene, članica internacionalne grupe ILLUMATION, kulturna aktivistkinja koja je blisko sarađivala sa vodećim teoretičarima i istoričarima umetnosti, izazvala je pažnju likovne publike da ne propusti priliku da prvi put na jednom mestu vidi nesvakidašnji pregled produkcije multimedijalne i multikulturalne savremene umetnice. Specifičan izložbeni prostor, izdeljen na 16 jedinica, doprineo je da se heterogeni opusi, nastali između 1964. i 2012. godine, sagledaju kao zasebne likovne celine, koje se idejnim kontinuitetom povezuju u jedinstvenu umetničku tvorevinu Mire Brtke.

Izbor kolorističke palete, upotreba različitih materijala i uvođenje mehaničkog pulsiranja u multidisciplinarna dela: poznog enformela, Op Art-a, ciklusa belih slika i linea, veza na tekstiliu, objekata od klirita i metala, postali su kreativna osobenost koja je Miru Brtku definisala kao nosioca savremenih tendencija u modernoj umetnosti. Mada na prvi pogled njeno slikarstvo iluminističkog perioda ostavlja utisak dekorativne umetnosti, reč je o daleko složenijem stvaralačkom procesu koji se zasniva na inkorporiranju duhovnosti istočnjačke filozofije u smisao i sadržaj umetničkog dela, što dela ovog perioda čine metafizičkim. Među izloženim vajarskim ciklusima (malih formata, kao i monumentalnih) posebnu pažnju su privukle dinamične skulpture, koje na dodir osciliraju u porostoru, što ukazuje da je Mira Brtka svojom skulpturom ušla u svet kinetičke luminokinetičke umetnosti. Organizacija izložbe u Beogradu poklopila se sa potrebom i nastojanjem nove naučne misli da se u teoriji i istoriji umetnosti rasvetli uloga žena u apstraktnoj umetnosti i značaj grupe ILLUMATION u tokovima svremenih tendencija moderne evropske umetnosti. Na naučnom skupu, koji je 22. - 26. maja 2021. održan u Parizu u Centru Pompidu, u organizaciji School of Arts, Oxford Brookes University, London, na temu Nova istorija apstraktne umetnosti 20 veka, održano je predavanje o umetnosti Mire Brtke. British School at Rome 7. juna 2021. organizovao je naučni skup na temu umetničkog stvaralaštva internacionalne grupe ILLUMINATION koju je okupio japanski multidisciplinarni umetnik Nobuya Abe. Zbog svog internacionalnog karaktera, izložba „Refleksije” budi pažnju najvećih evropskih muzeja i galerija Italije, Japana, Slovačke, Velike Britanije, Nemačke, stoga Fondacija Mira Brtka u skorijoj budućnosti planira izložbene aktivnosti širom Evrope.

( 1930 - 2014 ) Headlines such as An Artist Who Sees Because She Knows How To Look; She Made Art Out Of Everything She Touched; How An Exhibition Caused A Tsunami, The Best Exhibition Belgrade Has Seen, speak of the media’s discreet competition for exclusivity in attracting and directing public attention to the retrospective exhibition of Mira Brtka, entitled "Reflections", held in the Belgrade City Museum, which was seen by nearly 24,000 visitors during its duration (March / May 2021).

Moving forward

The fact that Mira Brtka graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 1963 and was, for almost two decades in the second half of the 20th century, a member of the Roman art scene as well as a member of the international group ILLUMATION, a cultural activist who worked closely with leading art theorists and historians, provoked the interest of the art audience not to miss the opportunity to see, for the first time in one place, an extraordinary overview of the works of a multimedia and multicultural contemporary artist.

A special kind of exhibition space, divided into 16 areas, allowed the heterogeneous works of art, created between 1963 and 2012, to be seen as separate artistic units, connected by conceptual continuity into a unique artistic opus by Mira Brtka. The choice of color palette, the use of different materials and the introduction of mechanical pulsation in multidisciplinary works: the late informalism, the Op Art, the white paintings and linea cycle, the textile

embroidery, the objects made of acrylic glass and metal, all became creative features defining Mira Brtka as a harbinger of contemporary tendencies in modern art. Although at first glance her art of the illuministic period gives the impression of decorative art, it is a far more complex creative process based on incorporating the spirituality of Eastern philosophy into the meaning and content of an art work, making the works of this period metaphysical. Among the exhibited sculptural cycles (small and monumental formats), the dynamic sculptures oscillating in space when touched, attracted a special attention, indicating that Mira Brtka entered the world of kinetic – lumino kinetic art with her sculptures.

Due to its international character, the exhibition "Reflections" attracted the attention of the largest museums and galleries in Europe (Italy, Japan, Slovakia, Great Britain, Germany, therefore the Mira Brtka Foundation plans to hold exhibitions across Europe in the near future.

Abstract Art and the importance of the ILLUMATION group in the current tendencies of modern European art. A lecture on the art of Mira Brtka was held at the academic conference (on May 22-26, 2021) in Paris at the Pompidou Center, organized by the School of Arts, Oxford Brookes University, London, on the topic of New History of 20th Century Abstract Art. On June 7, 2021, the British School at Rome is organized an academic conference on the topic of artistic creation of the international group ILLUMINATION, which was brought together by the Japanese multidisciplinary artist Nobuya Abe.

JUGOSLOVENSKA KINOTEKA PROGLAŠENA ZA NAJBOLJI MUZEJ U 2020. GODINI Yugoslav film archive the best museum in 2020.

Nacionalni komitet Međunarodnog saveta muzeja (ICOM) proglasio je Jugoslovensku kinoteku za najbolji muzej u Srbiji u 2020. godini. Ovo visoko priznanje dodeljeno je na Međunarodni dan muzeja – 18. maja, na svečanosti u Muzeju savremene umetnosti u Beogradu. Muzej u Kosovskoj dogodine obeležava 70 godina rada, a posle višemesečne problematike zbog epidemioloških mera, publika je konačno u mogućnosti da poseti novu stalnu postavku „Naš muzej filma“, koja je otvorena u januaru 2020. godine. ''Naš muzej filma obuhvata'' period od predistorije filma pa sve do kraja 20. veka, s posebnim akcentom na razvoj i uspeh srpske kinematografije iz vremena Kraljevine Srbije, preko Prvog svetskog rata, Kraljevine SHS, Kraljevine Jugoslavije, Drugog svetskog rata, dugotrajne uspešne faze u okviru jugoslovenskog filma i ponovnog povratka u okrilje srpske kinematografije. Tu je i Carska panorama, prikazana sa ostalim elementima iz predistorije filma na donjem nivou izložbe, Edisonov kinematoskop, kamera braće Limijer iz 1896. godine, kao i kamera našeg Mihaila Mihailovića – Mike Afrike iz 1908. The National Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) declared the Yugoslav Cinematheque the best museum in Serbia in 2020. This high recognition was awarded on the International Museum Day –May 18th, at a ceremony held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade.

Next year, the museum located in Kosovska street will mark 70 years of operation, and after several months of difficulties casued by the anti-epidemic measures, the public will finally be able to visit the new permanent exhibition entitled "Our Film Museum", which opened in January 2020.

"Our Film Museum” covers a period from the prehistory of cinema to the end of the 20th century, with special emphasis on the development and success of the Serbian cinema from the time of the Kingdom of Serbia, through the First World War, the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Second World War, a long successful film phase during the period of Yugoslavia and a return to Serbian cinema. There is also the Imperial Panorama, displayed with other elements from the prehistory of cinema at the lower level of the exhibition, including Edison's kinetoscope, the camera of the Lumiere brothers from 1896, as well as the camera of our

Postavka obuhvata i predmete iz legata Ljubiše Samardžića, Pavla Vuisića, Milene Dravić, Dragana Nikolića, Živojina Pavlovića i drugih značajnih filmskih umetnika. Izložba “Naš muzej filma” je prva i jednina muzejska postavka na ovim prostorima koja u novom svetlu i na savremen način prikazuje razvoj srpskog i jugoslovenskog filma.

Mihailo Mihailović - Mika Africa dating back to 1908. The Charlie Chaplin’s cane is placed on display, then the props used in the shooting of iconic films from the golden age of cinematography in this area. The exhibition also includes objects from the legacies of Ljubiša Samardžić, Pavle Vuisić, Milena Dravić, Dragan Nikolić, Živojin Pavlović and other important film artists. The exhibition "Our Film Museum" is the first and only museum exhibition in these parts that gives a new insight into the development of Serbian and Yugoslav film in a modern way.

„Naš muzej filma“ je samo jedna od mnogih muzeoloških aktivnosti koje je Kinoteka ostvarila u 2020. godini. Nagrada ICOM-a Srbije predstavlja priznanje i za napore u oblasti digitalne restauracije, izdavanje časopisa, organizovanje privremenih izložbi, projekat digitalne solidarnosti koji je deo fonda Kinoteke učinio dostupnim onlajn i besplatno za najširu publiku.

"Our Film Museum" is just one of the many museological activities that the Cinematheque organized in 2020. The ICOM Serbia Award is also a recognition of efforts in the field of digital restoration, publishing magazines, organizing temporary exhibitions, a digital solidarity project that has made part of the Cinematheque’s archive available online and free of charge for the general audience.
