This class will introduce students to drawing and painting techniques. During the first half of the class, we’ll cover sketching with pencils before moving on to exploring painting, blending techniques, layering, and color effects. Family Clay Play

Help your little artist discover the wonders of clay. Guide them through exploring their creative instincts, or follow one of our design ideas. We use air-dry clay. Min 4 | Max 12. LS

Painting in the Parks New!

Using nature as inspiration, we will be exploring colors, shapes, shading, and artistic style from a variety of locations around Bensenville. Each week we’ll meet at a new park and use a natural element to develop our own artistic skills. No class 07/02. Min 4 | Max 15. LS

Beginning Painting

In this class, students will use acrylic paint to complete pre-drawn canvases while developing and encouraging individual expression, knowledge, and use of various media, art techniques, and the student’s individual aesthetic awareness. Students will learn the basics of working with acrylic paints, choosing brushes, and to “see” as an artist. No class 07/03. Min 4 | Max 12. LS

Paper Mache Workshop New!

Create something beautiful from accessible and simple materials. In this course we’ll follow a step-by-step process for creating colorful sculptures that tell their own stories through paper mache and layered paints. Min 4 | Max 12. LS

DIY Moss Art New!

Create a moss-terpiece while spending time with friends and nature. You’ll learn tips and tricks for assembling your frame, an introduction to plants, and learn how to best arrange your green art. Min 4 | Max 12. LS

Nature Collages New!

Reconnect with your intuition while exploring mixed media as you’re guided through an authentic, creative, and social experience in nature. Attendees will gain experience with intuitive collage and mixed media techniques while drawing from the natural world as inspiration. No class 07/03. Min 5 | Max 12. LS

Piano Lessons

Marianna Miltcheva has been a piano instructor, teaching preschool children through adults, since 1981. Marianna provides a positive atmosphere for learning, progress, and fun. Lessons include notation of music, balance of technique, sight-reading, improvising, ear-training, singing, and recitals. Each lesson is 30 minutes long, and four lessons must be paid in full before each class begins. LS
