Local high school students compete as Robo-Knights Robo-Knights is an afterschool robotics team from Orlando supported by Team Orlando and Central Florida STEM Education Council. The activity is focused on STEM education and includes both male and female students from Seminole and Orange County high schools, as well as home schools near UCF, including University, Hagerty, Lyman, Winter Park and Wekiva High Schools. The individual high schools are having a challenge to support this program to maintain and manage a competitive robotics team. Army/Navy/Lockheed Martin engineering mentors formed this team structure independent of individual schools to focus on all local students who want to participate. The team mentors have had many successful seasons in the past and hope to share their experiences and support the students for a great competition year.
