10 Vegan holiday Menu Ideas For a Memorable Feast Presented By Domonique Gray, Home Loan Specialist | 805-832-2950
For the FULL recipes please check out my Facebook page “Domonique Gray NMLS# 900558” Tofurkey isn’t your only option for a holiday feast, friend! There are so many delicious, flavorful holiday vegan dishes you can make. Even your omnivore friends will drool over them! I’ve put together a list of my favorite vegan holiday menu ideas to help make your holiday a total dream.
4. Festive Stuffed Mushrooms Stuffed mushrooms are the perfect addition to your vegan holiday meal, and very classy to boot. These bite-size mushrooms are packed full of juicy tomatoes, garlic, vegan cream cheese and fresh basil. You will often find stuffed mushrooms hidden behind other treats but they deserve to be upfront and in the spotlight.
1. Vegan Holiday Hummus This first vegan holiday idea is an autumn-inspired take on everyone’s favorite dip. It isn’t just vegan, it’s also delicious and easy to whip up on a busy day of holiday prep. It’s a unique take on the chickpea-based dip thanks to the addition of roasted carrots, rosemary, and pomegranate-seed garnishes. The result is a smooth and creamy, colorful dip with subtle spices.
5. Chickpea Vegan Meatloaf Another vegan holiday idea is to make a classic veggie loaf for your main entree. This meatless veggie “meatloaf” will be the star of your show. Packed with chickpeas, celery, and carrots, this dish will fill you up just as much as any meat-based dish. It’s also loaded with spices and is served with a flavorful maple glaze for extra flavor.
2. Maple Balsamic Brussels Sprouts No holiday is complete without Brussels sprouts, and luckily for you, it’s super simple to craft a vegan-friendly dish with them. Sure, you could just roast your sprouts in the oven with a little olive oil and salt-and-pepper. OR, you could turn it up a notch for your vegan holiday meal. This vegan appetizer (or side dish) recipe will elevate your brussel-sprout game.
6. Vegan Stuffing with Tempeh Sausage Now, most of us maybe think of stuffing as more of a side dish on holidays, but we’re breaking that stereotype. Many stuffing recipes are packed with enough ingredients and protein to be a meal on their own anyway. (And let’s be honest – most holiday dinners actually have three to five different entrees!)
3. Sweet Potato Noodle Salad There’s nothing quite like some arugula to create a nutty, peppery holiday salad. But this recipe also incorporates spiralized sweet potatoes, chickpeas, and avocado for added flavor and texture, and pomegranate seeds for a colorful sweetness. This particular recipe doesn’t call for dressing because it’s quite flavorful on its own.
7. Acorn Squash with Pomegranate and Kale Tabbouleh A fun and eye-catching entree packed full of flavor that will keep you happy throughout the Autumn season. Half an acorn squash drizzled with pomegranate molasses will be plenty for each guest round the table.

8. Vegan Apple Spice Cake with Maple Buttercream
10. Vegan Pumpkin Pie
Are you salivating yet? Because I am. This apple spice cake is not only an insanely yummy vegan holiday dessert but also surprisingly quick to make. It’s the perfect combination of pretty much every autumn spice you can think of, and the maple frosting adds a subtle sweetness that doesn’t overpower.
Were you scared for a minute? Did you think I wasn’t going to include a vegan-friendly pumpkin pie recipe? This vegan pumpkin pie gives the traditional ones a run for their money. The coconut cream makes a perfect substitute for sweetened condensed milk and eggs, and the maple syrup adds the perfect amount of sweetness. Thank you so much for taking the time to read through all of these absolutely amazing vegan dishes for the holidays I hope you now have some new ideas for this year’s feast! To check out the entire recipes please check out my facebook page
“Domonique Gray NMLS# 900558”.
9. Vegan Cherry Chocolate Cake Okay, so this one isn’t perhaps a typical holiday dessert, but vegan holiday dinners aren’t very traditional anyways! (And besides, I wanted to add some chocolate to my list of vegan holiday menu ideas!)

Home holiday decorating ideas
The holidays often involve purchasing gifts for close friends and loved ones as well as making a delicious meal the entire family will love. But nothing sets the holiday scene and overall mood more so than beautiful decorations and other seasonal accoutrements. Many people leave no room untouched for the holidays, meaning color schemes or trinkets may carry through from top to bottom. Decking the halls this season can be made even easier with some of these handy ideas.

Holiday timeline
If you keep holiday photo cards each year, put them in chronological order and hang them from a piece of garland from the mantel or drape on a staircase banister. This can be a fun way to see how your own children or other members of the family have grown.
some natural elements in your desired palette. For example, white, gold and green may look beautiful. Put boxwood clippings and white amaryllis flowers together. Pine cones, twigs and holly pieces also can add touches to mantels, doorways and table centerpieces.
Make mini evergreen displays
Ornaments elsewhere
Clip your favorite pieces of evergreen and push the stems into floral foam. Display in small vases or other containers and place in groupings to emulate an evergreen forest.
Who says ornaments only have to go on a tree? Display antique or favorite ornaments by hanging them from beautiful ribbons throughout the home.
Plan the outside
Scent the scene
Exterior illumination and other exterior decorations share the holiday spirit with others. It can be overwhelming trying to visualize it all without a plan in place. Take a photo of the house and map out where you want lights and decorations to go. Then with your “map” in hand, you can more readily purchase supplies and start decorating.
Go for a specific natural color scheme
If you desire an overall holiday feel but aren’t interested in Santa figurines or kitschy elements, decorating with color in mind can be key. It’s easy to tie things together with

Hang something aromatic on the tree to mingle with the pine. Fresh cinnamon sticks tied with twine or ribbon can be nestled among the boughs. Another scented idea is to make pine cone candles and use pine or cinnamon scents to make them smell just like the season. Holiday decorating gets a hand from some creative ideas. Always follow safety precautions, especially when using candles, hanging lights and plugging in multiple items to electric sockets. With ingenuity and safety in mind, holiday decorations can be extra special.

Keep safety in mind when decorating for the holidays
Photo submitted
Decorations help make the holiday season a magical time of year. Stores are awash in color and twinkling lights, and similar imagery is on display in private homes. Designing holiday displays can be a great way for families to spend time together and kick off the celebration. In fact, according to Electrical Safety Foundation International, around 90 percent of Americans decorate their homes for the holidays.
• Place Christmas trees at least three feet away from all heat sources, including fireplaces and heaters. • Use decorations that are non-combustible or made from flame-resistant materials. • Pay attention to the age recommendations of decorations to see if they can be used in homes with young children. Some items, however common, are choking or strangulation hazards.
When trimming the tree and decorating this holiday season, families must keep safety in mind. A little planning and some precautionary measures can ensure displays are enjoyed all season long. Travelers Insurance offers the following holiday decorating safety tips.
• Avoid putting small, “mouth-sized” decorations near the ground or on lower limbs of trees, where young children can easily reach them.
• Do not overload outlets. Plan displays according to the number and location of available outlets. • Never exceed the maximum number of light strands that can be attached together. • Use lights and products that have been tested for safety. Certification marks like UL, ETL and CSA are from nationally recognized laboratories. • LED lights should be used whenever possible. Such lights consume less energy and run cooler than other bulbs.
• Exercise caution when hanging decorations at high heights. Make sure the ladder is secured and have a spotter who can hold the ladder and pass items up safely. • Outdoor electric lights and decorations should be plugged into circuits protected by ground fault circuit interrupters, or GFCIs. • Exercise caution when decorating near power lines that extend to the house. • Keep hung stockings far away from open flames so they do not catch any errant embers.
• The ESFI says candles start almost 50 percent of all decoration fires. Minimize the risk by using candles only when they can be monitored. Artificial candles can be used in place of real candles. California 101 Real Estate Guide
• Check for freshness in live trees. A fresh tree will last longer and is less of a fire hazard than an old tree.
These are just a few suggestions for decorating a safely for the holiday season. 15
