Every Little Bit Helps The warm weather is finally here, so let’s get out of hibernation and get our hearts pumping. Let’s start with a little tennis, maybe some basketball, a nice hike. Hey, where is everybody?

Studies say that 84% of us know the mental, emotional, and physical benefits of exercise, yet more than half of all adults are sedentary. Obviously, there are barriers to exercise that need to be identified and overcome for these contradictory .

What are the barriers to exercise? According to published surveys, they fall into the following four categories: lack of time, boredom, injuries or ill health, and low self-confidence. Let’s examine each barrier and some practical solutions for overcoming them. If you don’t have time to do your full workout, do ten minutes.

The ME Time

The Wonders of Herbal Tea by Jasmine Timothy

There’s nothing like a warm cup of tea in the winter to take the chill out and make you feel cozy. And there’s nothing like iced tea in the summer to cool you off and refresh you. Prepackaged teas are great for when you are in a hurry, but another great way to make tea is to make your own infusions from herbs you grow yourself.

Most herbs you would want to use in tea making are very easy to grow and can even be grown in pots if you don’t have a garden space. They usually like sun for a few hours a day and regular watering, but most herbs aren’t too picky about nutrients or getting too much attention.

There’s plenty of beautiful shoreline across this country, but only a few beaches go above and beyond in blending surf and sand. Whether it’s seclusion, sight lines, or great eats you want these six waterfronts have your sun-seeking needs covered. Folly Beach, due south of Charleston, is a moth light for beach bros: It has big waves, rowdy bars, and overpriced grub. Clued-in locals know there’s a better spot, even closer to the city, where you can go when you’re not in the mood to share your towel space with a thousand strangers: the beach at Sullivan’s Island, a quiet paradise across the Ravenel Bridge from the city proper. Rarely will you see more than ten people laid out on its dunes. Which means you can pick up a bag of boiled peanuts .

Business Mode

Tips On Working From Home by Raffie Jones

I’ve worked for myself, from home, for nearly five years. In the beginning, it wasn’t pretty. There were some days when G would come home and I’d be slumped in the couch in the same spot where I’d said goodbye to him in the morning. I hadn’t gotten up to shower or even brush my teeth, so you would have assumed that I was wildly productive. But that wasn’t the case. Most times, I wouldn’t have even written the post for the next day and would have to work late into the night. Since then, I’ve made some pretty necessary changes, so I thought I’d share my top 10 tips for working from home.

A Show Not Written By Monkeys So, Hilberry, it’s pretty smart putting a sketch about a notorious contemporary composer in front of a reviewer who was a professional musician. For me, what is not to like as actors perform a spoken-parody of Phillip Glass’s music, an absurd bit in which the composer buys a baguette and runs into an old flame.

And that’s not even the nuttiest premise in the medley of David Ives’ one-acts now playing at the repertory company. That award might go to the dark-humored, goofy yet ultimately poignant piece about Leon Trotsky arguing with his wife and assassin over whether the axe in his head is buried there or just smashed against it.
