LITTLE DOCTOR SCHOOL

In our Little Medical School program, students will step into the role of a doctor and learn about medical tools used during an examination, the heart, muscles, bones, immunizations, surgery and more! Each week will be a different lesson with role play and take home items to keep them inspired beyond that day. This club will meet for 8 sessions beginning Monday, September 18th.
LET’S MOVE

A club for students in Seventh Age who like to move, stretch, and play. Movement games will include high energy fun, yoga adventures and mindfulness activities. “Let’s Move” will include both indoor and outdoor activities, weather permitting.
LEGO ARCHITECTS

Come join the “Lego Architects” for the chance to learn while having fun with Legos! Each week we will have a new challenge involving Legos that will introduce concepts of engineering, architecture, and physics. In addition to learning these new concepts, this club with help foster innovation, self-confidence, and problem solving skills! Let’s build with Legos!

Students will work with Master Quick to learn a variety of skills through drills, routines, and “mat chart.” Skills include focus, balance, coordination, memory, discipline, control, stranger safety, confidence, sportsmanship, and listening.

Here at Calvert, the “Lego Club” is a wonderful way for Sixth and Seventh Age students to work together as architects and engineers! Students will be interacting and working on social skills as they complete building challenges, work together to build models, and develop and reinforce their play and social skills. Some of the challenges will include building Lego mazes, working together to create a Lego bridge, forming Lego words and numbers, and free building based on color! It is a great time for old and new friends to come together to build and create.
KIDS CRAFTS CLUB

Choir Club will provide a fun environment for students to develop their singing, musicianship, diction, and ability to blend and harmonize with others. Singing in a choir also helps students appreciate the value of teamwork and collaboration! No previous choir experience is required, and there will not be an audition. All materials will be provided.

Welcome to the Strategic Games Club! Students from Eighth to Tenth Age are invited to join Ms. Forrester every Wednesday to play games involving strategy and mathmatical thinking, We will be playing a variety of exciting games that integrate a range of mathmatical skills into the gameplay - whether or not the students realize it! These games will help students develop their competence with arithmetic, multi-step problem-solving, spatial reasoning, pattern recognition, logic, resource management, probability, and more - all while having fun with friends.
BOOK PUBLISHING CLUB

In this club, students will work together to write and illustrate a picture book and have it published through Student Treasures. Students should be prepared to work together with guidance. A group photo will be provided for the author page of the book, and each student will receive a copy of the published book!

Learn the basics of squash on our brand new courts with Squash Pro Patrick Bedore. Students will get the opportunity to play squash and learn the correct fundamentals of grip, swing, and movement. All materials are inlcuded; students will need to wear non-marking shoes on the courts.
